He saw the look in her eyes as she considered his aid. Xavier inclined his head and flicked his hand, a glow suddenly cupped in his closed fist. Slowly offering his hand, he opened it to reveal a palm-sized stone. "You will need wealth to restore your current home," the headmaster blinked slowly, watching her expression carefully. "But you don't have to stay there." He snuffed out the glowing ruby and it faded into a dark mist. This time Xavier reached forward and pressed his fingertips to Zeelith's temple.
A new home. Similar in size. The next house was bigger. Warm. A place for her family. The brief flashes were enough to convey his meaning: He could supply her with a new home, or one similar to the one she had. "In the coming days, you will need to be away from the slums of the city." Xavier's red eyes darted over to Kurt, and a bit of disgust filled them . . . but it was gone before anyone could blink. "How would you like me to aid you, Zeelith?" - Kurt watched in silence, aware that darkness had consumed the room about them. At this point the office was difficult to see; there was only Xavier and Zeelith floating amidst the dark clouds. The light that came from Xavier's stone was a bright glow in comparison to the rest of the room. With his hood pulled over his features, Kurt felt something clawing at his stomach. Why was the headmaster being so . . . helpful? He wasn't naming any conditions, and he was usually quite clear with such things. Did that mean he truly wanted to help Zeelith? His supposed daughter? Kurt blinked away his thoughts, looking at the two. The more he observed, the more he thought he saw a side of Xavier he'd never considered: something that cared. - Dante steered Emma to her class, chatting with her about his difficulties in math. He was young enough to be considered a student, so he was still in classes. Who knew if he was telling the truth about his "struggles" or not. "See you around, girly." With a wink, the silver-haired youth let Emma head into her classroom. Success. Hesitating, he glanced to one of the other Elite that lingered the halls. There weren't many of them, but they seemed to show up in the worst times. With a nod and tight smile, Dante moved on toward the room he knew Kyreian to be in. They needed to get the rebels out of here before the Xavier and his lapdogs tightened the leash. He got into the classroom just before the door shut, but there was so much chatter that he got behind Kyreian without her noticing. Leaning in, he breathed in her ear seductively. "I'll bet you're enjoying yourself in here, aren't you?" He sat in the seat beside the woman, sending her a wink brushing his hand against her arm. As usual, he wore gloves. - Eric frowned a bit, pulling his hand away from the girl. "Okay." What was her response supposed to mean? She didn't know? The blond watched Kain for a few more moments before letting his eyes wander to the front of the room. Despite his gaze trailing after the instructor as class started, his mind was locked on the girl beside him. The more he thought of her, the more worried he became. She transformed into a dragon. That moment had been so . . . startling. What kind of person did that? Mutant or no, she was . . . different. Gray eyes moving back to the girl uncertainly, Eric quietly regarded her again. She looked tired, worn . . . and lost. Like she wasn't sure what to do, or what was going on. He could relate to that. He'd been sifting through emotions all morning. But . . . her powers seemed to affect Kain more than Eric's affected him. "Would you mind if I listened to you play later?" It was an awkward attempt to say anything, but Eric recalled how she'd been playing music in the garden the first day they'd met. It was strange to think that had only been a day ago. . . . |
Xavier's words were hitting home. Hard. You could tell by the way Zeelith's eyes were sparkling, at the chance to have a good home, away from the slums, was tempting her. Her hope that sparked as soon as she saw the stone and heard his words her mind and heart began to race. As he showed her the homes she ached to see Chris running around enjoying the wonderful new home. "If you were to show me... And Chris such kindness...." she breathed her eyes slowly opening to look into his. "I will do my best to forgive you.... And let you... Meet Chris...." she whispered slowly, the hope welled with the tears in her eyes. Reaching out she slowly took Kurt's hand loosely, needing his support. She might faint from the shock of what Xavier was offering her. "Please tell me... That this is no joke.... This is real..." she breathed, a glimmer of a doubt passing threw her.
|
Kurt felt Zeelith's hand bump his, and he readily slid his fingers between hers. This just seemed so crazy. . . .
"I am not lying," Xavier said quietly, watching the emotion pass over Zeelith's features. "I would gain nothing by deceiving you." The headmaster pulled his fingers away from the girl's temple and regarded her for a few moments in silence. "This is real." The darkness that surrounded them was thicker than fog now. Sensing her thoughts, Xavier amplified them. The sound of Chris' laughter flit through the darkness, and even the tall male seemed to be affected by the sound. "Both you and the boy are important." |
Zeelith nodded and then hearing Chris's laughter she knew that she wanted this. She wanted to have a beautiful home for him. "Please help us.... I want to have the best place I can to raise Chris." she whispered softly as she slowly reached out and took the headmaster's hand with her free claw. "I would be so grateful if you would help me..." she said softly, holding her breath to see what he would do.

Kyreian's stone cold face didn't change expression as one hand reached backwards and hit Dante in the stomach. Not hard, of course, but a love tap just enough to get her very clear point across. She was busy watching her students run laps. ;) A few kids snickered as they were running by before they realized her deadly blue gaze was upon them. Then she grinned wickedly, one of the first expression the class had actually seen. Her voice boomed through the gym, something a few of girls admired and hated. "STOP! DROP TO THE GROUND AND I WANT TO SEE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU DO 40 PUSHUPS BEFORE YOU EVEN GET TO THINK ABOUT LEAVING. EVEN IF IT TAKES ALL PERIOD, YOU WILL FINISH. NOW!" There were a few that were behind and didn't have quick reflexes, but they all ended up on the ground, very few actually relishing the workout. She was quite obviously a mad teacher. And sadistic.
That was when she finally turned to look at Dante, a very happy smile on her otherwise expressionless face. "Isn't the first day of classes wonderful?" She was being too cheery....a hand rested nonchalantly on Dante's shoulder as she watched the children, a gentle reminder how much she really did love him. "I assume you were successful then. May I remind you your not supposed to be in here while I'm teaching." This time her smile is warm and real as she teased him. Kainmin didn't even bother pretending she was listening to the teacher, her gaze instead locked on the outdoors. As the class continued, her eyes picked up on the noises that Eric made. He tended to shift sometimes. It was fascinating really. She had never been close enough to others to observe them that way... She turned her head to him when he asked his question, a little startled again. He had a way of doing that to her...She watched him for a few seconds, making sure that he was being sincere. Then she nodded and said in a very quiet voice that grated just the tiniest bit, "If you really want to." That was when she jumped when the teacher all but yelled at the two of them "Be quiet! This is not a time for socializing. Pay attention." Kainmin blinked at the woman but otherwise there was no acknowledgement that she registered the comment. Then she shrugged and resumed looking out the window. |
With a chuckle, Dante reached up to touch Kyeian's hand. "I never was one that took kindly to the rules." His silver gaze moved over the classroom, and he couldn't help but smile. "The first day is always the best. Especially for you." He wrinkled his nose, and then managed to slip his hand into hers. Just for a moment, he was content. "I can only ask Emma so many questions before she starts to think I'm an idiot."
Kyreian's teasing was true, though: he wasn't supposed to be around her while she taught. "I think all instructors should be as hardcore as you are, ba-" Dante stopped himself, glancing at a student nearby. "Ky." The male took a deep breath, looking serious for a moment. His hand moved away from Kyreian and pressed against the leather that covered his mark. The spot on his neck always throbbed when the headmaster was summoning him. "Xavier wants me. I have to go." His demeanor was never carefree when Xavier was involved. With a nod, he turned to leave, stepping aside to let a student head for the drinking fountain. - "Then I will help you." Xavier, once again, kept his hand open for the girl. He never held Zeelith there - he never made it his choice for her to stay. It was hers - it had to be hers - every step of the way. "I will have one of my people take you there. Do you wish to see it now?" The headmaster's red eyes darted to Kurt, but he said nothing. He wasn't the kind of person who allowed half-bloods to witness these hidden homes and sanctuaries, but he knew better than to upset Zeelith at this moment. He wouldn't do it. It was a few moments later when the darkness cleared. Xavier lowered his hand, turning to the door just a second before it opened. Dante entered with his expression ranging from sullen to surprised. "Yes, Master?" He listened as the silence lengthened. Xavier spoke with the Elite mentally before looking back to his daughter. "Stay with him. He will lead you to your new home." Dante nodded, and then started toward the door. "Meet me by the gates of the Academy." Xavier was going to lower the barrier to let them out: and it was only going to be them. No other mutants would be leaving. - "I do." Eric quietly replied, narrowing his eyes at the instructor. He said nothing to her reprimand, but instead began to focus on the class for real. He knew he'd be meeting with Kainmin later, so he managed to put that thought aside. It was difficult to completely concentrate on the work when he knew she was sitting right beside him. Once again his gray eyes moved to her. She was always looking outside. For a moment he picked up on her emotions - for a moment, he actually tried. Eric felt surprise, though it was fading. He also picked up on loneliness and a feeling of falling. Is that Kain? Needless to say, it was a long class period during which he struggled to piece what the instructor was saying while his true focus rested with Kain. ((:3 If anyone has any suggestions for plots/mini plots/events/conflict, feel free to let me know.)) |
Zeelith nodded in excitement and then soon watched as Dante appeared. She then looked to Kurt, the excitement impossible to conseal. "I might be able to have a closet!" she said excitedly, soundly childish with wanting a closet but she never had one in her life. "Chris will have a home... A proper home..." she whispered and squeezed Kurt's hand, her eyes dancing with happieness. Hearing Dante she nodded and walked with Kirt, following the other mutant to the school gate but before leaving the room Zeelith turned to Xavier. "Thank you." she said softly and left, still unable to grasp the fact that he was her father.

Kyreian chuckles, ready to respond but then she saw the stiffening and the touch. Her mask slipped and she was frowning. "Go safely." She whispered after him. Her hand unconsciously went to the spot under her scarf where she had two similar marks. Suddenly, her frown was gone and her eyes were a darker blue then normal as she turned her gaze back on her charges. A few of the older kids were snickering and looking at her with knowing looks. Her face showed yet another nasty smile. "Jet, Blok, and Turmac, you've just earned yourselves another hundred pushups. Get moving boys, or you'll run out of time and have to start over in our next class." They groaned but continued. She knew all of their last names already. It was just something she did.
Kainmin blinked about three quarters of the way through class. She was feeling the prickling again. She scowled to the the window, her reflection not being kind and hiding it. She instantly focused and got her emotions under control, sealing as tightly as she could within herself. She didn't need somebody intruding on her physically, let alone know her every feeling. It was irritating. Her pale eyes flashed red as she turned them towards the teacher. "Kainmin Sloman, would you please answer my question." The girl was starting to get angry as it was and now this ignorant idiot was trying to pick on her again? Her eyes never did return to normal. If anything, they were starting to get worse as her temper began to rise. The teacher had already made a habit of trying to ask her question instead of picking on those that had their hands raised. "Miss Sloman, I'll ask you one last timah-" Kainmin had stood up, her hands pressing on the top of her desk so hard that it was starting to bend under her strength. Her eyes were starting to glow and her hair seemed to be getting longer. Her face held the expression of one who is about to kill another. She was having a hard time keeping control of her feelings so that Eric wouldn't feel it and now this pale, scaleless, untaloned creature was picking on her? Kain's voice rasped and held death as she said very quietly, "Do not ask me again. Pick on somebody else." The teacher paused for a few seconds, shocked at the sudden change and outburst. That wasn't usual. (I'll try to come up with something :/ No garuntees though....) |
Kurt glanced back at Xavier as they left the office, looking a bit stunned. "Did that really just happen?" he asked, his fingers tightening about Zeelith's. His question was answered when they approached the front of the school. Dante gave them a glance, and a tight smile.
"He likes you. Can't imagine why anyone wouldn't, but Xavier isn't known for his generosity." His silver eyes darkened, and for a moment he looked like his true self: claws, fangs, slender horns, red eyes, darker skin and all. "This way." His deeply echoing voice made Kurt frown, but say nothing. They followed when bidden. Reaching the front gate a few seconds later, Dante reached out to touch the border fence - and there was a strange reaction. Tendrils of darkness slithered away from the locks and iron bars. They were free to leave now. "Xavier gave me permission to borrow one of his vehicles." Dante smiled toothily, laughing mockingly. "He never lets me do that." Kurt didn't say a thing as they were led to a parking lot . . . and to a row of cars. They were ushered into a silver sports car quickly, and they were pulling out before the two youth had their seat belts on. The ride was quiet, and all too fast. When they pulled to a stop there was a picture-perfect version on the home in Xavier's vision. A new home for Zeelith and Chris. - Eric started, just as the other kids around Kainmin did. Everyone was watching her now, staring at the girl as she looked about to snap. With a slow movement, Eric reached out to press a hand to her arm. As quickly as he could the mutant pushed feelings of calm and control toward Kain. "It's alright," he said, pushing back a feeling of nausea as he fought against the pure rage that filled his mind. He knew it was from his friend - it certainly wasn't coming from himself. His gray eyes moved back to the instructor. "She isn't feeling well today," he explained calmly, his other hand clenched into a fist as he fought with the emotions streaking through the room. Everyone was escalating. . . . "That girl is such a creep," one of the students muttered to her friend, who nodded in agreement. |
Walking to the gates was like walking out of a dream for Zeelith. Hearing Kurt she blinked at him shocked. "I thought it was..." she breathed but suddenly there was Dante, their escort. Zeelith tightened her hand on Kurt's and looked to him with excitement. Was it not a dream? Looking at the gates she nearly flinched watching them open. She kept close to Kurt as they drove to the house. The car was amazing and she was pointing things out to Kurt that was just lovely about the car. Reluctant to get out she hadn't been watching where they were going to. Gasping seeing the house she felt tears full her eyes. The house was absolutely gorgeous. "Oh my god." she breathed stuck to the spot.

Kainmin heard him move before she felt his touch. She knew she was overreacting but it was just how she...reacts. Her maroon eyes looked over at him and she held his gaze and was starting to feel calmer until he broke contact and spoke to the teacher. She snorts and they return to the woman before snapping to the girl, starting to glow brighter at the comment. Suddenly, she was home again, a child, feeling small and out of place. Repressed anger, hurt, guilt surfaced as Kain tried to focus back on reality. Her gaze locked on the girl and she all but tried to leap over her desk, a snarl on her lips. The pupils of her eyes turned to slits as she could feel the heat rise from her skin, the tattoos starting to form. She never did make it past knocking her desk over. Eric had used his hand as a stepping stone to grab a hold of her, restraining her from tearing out the girls tongue. Her blood eyes turned to look up at him, the same snarl on her lips, ready to tear into his flesh...only she didn't. Couldn't was more the word. Slowly, very slowly, she begin to be calmer, the transformation halting and reversing as she came back to the reality of present instead of the falsehood of her past. Her darkening eyes never left Eric's, afraid she might start to turn again and loose what little control she doesn't really have. Her voice came out a quiet, strangled rasp. "Get me out of here." |
Kurt blinked, thinking the same thing that Zeelith was: this was a dream. It was a house from a magazine, not a real place to live. They slowly followed Dante as he got out of the car and stepped toward the building.
"Come on. I'll show you inside." Even Dante looked a bit excited. "This place hasn't been empty long. Xavier allowed a family of high standings to stay here, but they've moved on." His lips curled in a small smile, as though there was an inside joke in the comment. "I'm sure Xavier had the place . . . cleaned up a bit." Once they were all standing in the entry, the Elite placed a small keyring in Zeelith's clawed hand. "Take care of her. She's a beauty." At that, Dante led them through the building. He showed them the closets, the bathrooms, rooms, kitchen . . . it was like he knew how to sell real estate, only it was being given away for free. - Eric hadn't thought about his actions. He'd grasped Kainmin's arm as she lunged forward, death in her eyes. It was when that snarling threat was turned on him that his mind filled with doubt. Her anger was like a physical force, rushing through him like a fire. There was a moment in which Eric thought himself in danger: he didn't know if the girl would turn her anger to him. As slow as a sliver of ice melting on a winter day, the room began to return to his sense of reality. Kainmin calmed, her dark eyes unblinking as she rasped out a few words. The blond blinked in agreement, standing. His hand never left Kainmin's arm, and he pulled her up with him. Gray eyes daring the instructor to stop him, Eric walked from the room with his friend carefully led out before him. The wordless silence was irritating, but not quite as overwhelming as the fear, panic and anger that rippled through the class. Once they were in the hall, Eric slowed his pace . . . but kept walking with Kainmin in hand. "What happened in there?" Kain's anger tinted his voice, and he shot her a quick glance as they walked. To the gardens in the courtyard it was. ((PS: Seer, I will reply to our thread sooner or later. I just don't have the brainpower quite yet.)) |
((alright ^^ add whenever youre ready.))
Zeelith was holding her breath when they all walked into the house and gasped as she was handed the key to the house. She stared at it for a good thirty seconds in disbelief and then was pulled out of her shock as they were led around professionally by Dante. Taking in everything she couldn't believe what this was like and then when it was over she looked to Dante. "Thank you..... This was amazing..." she breathed and then looked at Kurt and threw her arms around him and laughed. "It's not a dream!" she breathed. It was too good to be true. |
Kainmin allowed Eric to take her away, something when in her right mind she would never have done. She hated being manhandled. She let him steer her out of the buildings and to the gardens where she had first seen him in his dorm. As soon as they arrived and were near the water, she yanked her arm from his, only to fall down hard on her ass to the ground, not even caring if she got her clothes dirty. They were usually black for a reason... She stared out at the shiny surface of the water, her mind swarming with suppressed images as her eyes flickered between their natural green and the glowing red that proved she was angry. She couldn't answer him yet, she was too lost in her own misery. She could feel the transformation clawing at her skin to get out. She was on the brink of letting it happen. She had transformed once, and she realized that it was easier to tell when her body wanted to shift away. The serene water started to calm her as she continued her gaze at it. Kain watched it as it rippled occasionally and it was calming her down. The flashing eyes slowed down until she had gotten the images under control and back behind their icy walls. Her emotions went with them. She saw how easy it is now, to put the emotions in the same place so that she wouldn't feel them, to ice them over. She knew that Eric would feel nothing coming from her now, even as she knew her face was a blank slate, no feeling left there. She wouldn't allow him to access that part of her. Those memories, feelings, and existence was something he did not need to know. Kain then remembered that he had asked her what had happened and he did deserve a response. She didn't take her gaze from the liquid in front of them. When she spoke her voice was hoarse and rasping, as if she had just been yelling and screaming for some time, nothing like her usual grating. "I don't tolerate bullying." She didn't know another word for it. Being picked on but that was the same thing. She seemed to drift away again, an image of a dragon in her minds eye; an image of herself. She wanted to fly, to get away, to turn back time. |
Dante lifted a pale brow, smiling as he headed for the door. "I'll be headed back to the academy now. I hear that your friend here can take care of your coming and going." The two men smiled at one another before Dante stepped out. "It isn't me you should be thanking. It's Xavier." After that, they were left alone.
Kurt let out a quiet "oof" as Zeelith wrapped her arms about him. The youth let his hood fall back, and he laughed with her as she expressed her happiness. "I never would have guessed!" He encompassed the pale woman in a hug, smiling as he glanced at the house again. "There's so much room here! You'll have a hard time filling it all, no?" - Eric thought that Kainmin was ignoring him for a while, but it was when the emotion suddenly dropped away that worried him. Startled, the blond tentatively reached out with his abilities . . . and found that Kain's emotions were absent. With a frown, he took a step closer. How? How had she done that? Her rasping voice caught his attention again. Slowly sitting down beside her, Eric sent her a glance. He was glad to see that her eyes were a steady color now, though her stoic mask was a bit disturbing. I can't read you. "You would have hurt her because she muttered something?" Eric leaned his elbows on his knees, looking out at the water that had held Kainmin's attention. - Dante headed back to the school grounds. By the time he got there, he managed to find Emma again. She needed to be kept away from Sarn, and it was always nice to know where she was. The blonde woman wasn't hard to find. After class had ended, Dante was sure to keep a close eye on the girl. They were having a lovely conversation about how their math classes related to real life within moments of their meeting. This will get tiring real fast. |
The blind male meshed into the crowds with ease as class ended. He needed to find Emma, there were sensitive matters in which they needed to discuss. Making his way through the crowd he could read a mutants aura thanks to his spiritual power and see the silhouettes of normal people as well as the outline of any object. Think of it as basic sight without any real color at least until a mutant was spotted. Relying on his power he spotted Emma she was with. . . Dante if he was correct? That red hue wasn't one he saw often but they had crossed paths a time or two.
"Emma! Emma!" He called to her from about ten feet back hoping to stop the two and pry them apart. He had been hearing things about a rebellion going on but until recently he hadn't heard any names of whom was involved so he had no idea what was actually going on but he was interested since he had heard she and Remy were at the top of the food chain. They were two of his best friends, he even had a crush on Emma but he never said anything. He wouldn't be surprised if she knew, but he masked his emotions well. He simply couldn't guard his thoughts. . . When he managed to catch up to the two he grinned smoothly giving a nod of recognition to them both before turning his head in Emma's direction, "We need to talk when you have a moment. I believe this is an. . . important matter." Then he turned to regard Dante briefly before turning back to the blonde, "And private. No disrespect, Dante correct?" He played the part of a cheeky blind well, but he knew people wondered if he was really blind or not even though his eyes stayed shut. The doubters had good reason since he never ran into anything nor did he need a walking stick or a guide dog. The only hitch was that his eyes never opened, so no one knew what they looked like. The only time he ever opened his eyes was when he was training because his eyes were the faded crystal grey and they glowed while his powers were active acting as a sort of stabilizer. It was the only way he could use his fighting abilities effectively but at the cost of being extremely sensitive to sunlight, which made them extremely precious. He was a nocturnal warrior by a cruel twist of fate. --- Tyrod and Jin met and convened to themselves in the auditorium for quite a while as they went over all of the details of Jin's discovery. They had both skipped class to discuss this, the younger feeling that this was something that needed to be addressed. "I think this is something that we should discuss with Xavier. He'll need to know about this and it will likely create a rift in the elite because we'll have to find out which one's are actually with us and which one's are against us." Ty smiled and shook his head as his next thought emerged, "Xavier could find out in a heartbeat but he enjoys playing little games so he'll likely leave it to us." Jin didn't find that surprising but he wasn't smiling. Fighting against the rebels and some of the elite wasn't what at all what he had planned when he came here. He hadn't even been here long enough to be as deeply involved with all of this as he was but that was just the way things had unfolded. To be honest all of this was really a shame but what's done was done. Now all that was left was to decide on a course of action and make their move. "Does all of this not upset you?" The older mutant shrugged and shook his head, "Not really." Something has got to be wrong with him, he thought with a sigh. Placing a hand to his chin, Jin pondered something for a moment before speaking, "Well, do you think it would be best to contact Xavier now or wait? I mean how much do we really know?" Ty smiled as an eyebrow arched, wondering what his younger brother was getting at, "Enough to make this an immediate problem don't you think?" "I know, I know but maybe we should get visual confirmation first? You know; You must first fool your friends to fool your enemies." Tyrod wiped a hand over his face in frustration, "Well consider me fooled, and I'll consider them enemies. No more debating, Xavier needs to hear about this now. . ." Shrugging in defeat, Jin sat silently as Tyrod called out to their "master" telepathically. He wasn't sure if that was something that came with time from the connection or if it was just a technique that Tyrod developed naturally as his powers grew. Either way, the young elite was a bit envious of him and nervous about the situation. For some reason it felt like this would come to blows before any kind of peaceful solution could be reached but that was just the worse case scenario, if not the most likely with Tyrod being involved. Had to be prepared. "Xavier, I have news. . . We have reason to believe we've been, betrayed. . ." |
Zeelith laughed and nodded grinning at Kurt. "Yes! But that's such a good problem!" she laughed happily and then looked into his eyes. "I want Chris and sue to see this. This is going to be wonderful!" she said happily and then kissed him on his lips quickly before looking around. She laughed again and flopped on the couch and sighed. "It's so soft..."
((sorry short)) |
Blonde hair waved in a young girl's face as she walked along the campus. It was her science class period, but there were too many regular humans in her class for her to actually feel safe going to the science class. Of course, she was wearing her headband to make it seem like her ears were not real, but it didnt help at the times when she moved them subconsciously and a human saw it. She ran out of her last class because of this aspect. Xavier had found her. She was suppose to do well, but she didnt really even exactly know how to do that. He was the only one who seemed to accept her and her ever changing form. She could take any form and probably should have shape-shifted her ears to human ones, but personally, she couldnt. It was the one thing she couldnt change when she was in her normal form. She would have to change her form completely to get her ears to back to go normally, but that would be hiding herself and she didnt want to do that, especially now that everyone had seen what she looks like.
The wind blew through Nila's hair, making her bool off a little, hoping that Xavier would not get mad at her for missing the last class. The courtyard was absolutely beautiful and it helped with the claustrophobia, which had been taking over her senses in all the rooms she was placed in for her classes. She had never been off the street for very long and her clothing proved that fact when she had gotten to the school. It was miscellaneous compared to the reformed ladies and gentlemen who went here due to their intellect and family status. Walking around the grass and trees was making her animal instincts start to take over, but in an easing sort of way. She was starting to shift her form into a rather interesting looking dog/wolf form, but there were people walking into the courtyard, which made her stop and walk towards the fountain to hide behind it before they came near her. It wasnt that she didnt like other people, it was that she didnt trust them. After her past, who would trust normal people. In this school, she couldn't tell between the mutants and the humans. It wasnt like she was trying to because it didnt seem to matter to her. Not one bit. No one was trustworthy except Dr. Xavier, the one that took her in. Nila discreetly made her way through the courtyard before anyone could see she was there. She went back into the mansion and headed straight for the room she knew she would find Xavier. His scent was allover the place, but she could tell the recent destinations and found him in a meeting room, but did not want to go in so as not to disturbe him. |
Kurt blushed a bit, laughing when Zeelith flopped onto the couch. "Everything here is different, yes?" His tail flicked up to tickle the girl's cheek as he sat down beside her. "You laugh. I like it when you are happy, Zeelith."
((:XD ALright, do we send them to Sue and Chris now?)) - Xavier lifted his eyes from the paper he was writing on just moments before Nila neared the door. He'd been in the office all morning, though he'd moved to a larger room when Zeelith and Kurt had gone. "You don't have to stay outside, Nila." His dark voice echoed through her mind, and then he looked back to the paper he was writing. It was a note to one of his student's parents. They needed updates on their children's progress . . . and today the headmaster chose to devote his time to a bit of the replying. ((I think it's ironic that Nila trusts Xavier. He's . . . just so . . . strange.)) It was then that Tyrod's voice lifted from somewhere within the school. The male narrowed his red eyes, setting the pen down as he considered what his Elite was telling him. 'What has brought this to your attention, Tyrod?"' He sounded neither surprised nor disappointed. Instead, he sounded vaguely amused, as usual. - "Quiese?" Emma turned to look over her shoulder, surprised to find the blind youth navigating the halls again. When her friend started talking, Emma shuddered involuntarily. "Did I explain the concept well enough for you, Dante?" "Dante, yes. No disrespect taken." Dante glanced at the other male with a strange look, but sent a smile Emma's way. "You did better than the last person who tried to teach me." His words were followed by a wink, and then he eyed Quiese for a few moments. Rebel? He wasn't one of Xavier's. That meant he was relatively safe. "I'll see you around, daisy." When the Elite walked away, Emma fought the blush off of her face. She knew that Dante called everyone something similar: he always had pet names for the people he talked to. Leave it up to the upper classman to keep her on her toes. "You want to talk?" The blonde glanced to his sightless eyes out of habit. "I have the next class period free." Emma heard nothing from Dante's thoughts, but there was a flicker of something in Quiese's that caught her attention. A brief glimpse of . . . something. Attraction? No, that couldn't be it. It was gone so swiftly that Emma didn't have time to consider it. "What is this about?" ((:XD Oh, goodness. If you haven't noticed, everyone, I haven't been keeping track of classes or anything. I started out that way, and then veered away from it. So . . . what class is it now? Like . . . the third? Or second? First day of classes, by the way! Also: Marsyas, it would be interesting if Dante's "aura" looked like his true self. *shudder* He isn't exactly human lookin', is he? That would make him very recognizable.)) |
(He did pull her off the street to go into mutant school. Its a home and has food. HAHAHA Thats the only reason i think. Its like hes taking the place of a surrogate father.
I dont know what period it is, but i assumed it was sixth only because thats what i had seen on the front page, but it isnt there anymore.) Nilla flinched as her name was called through his mind speak. She still was not use to it. With a quick glance at the door, she slowly turned the knob to open it. Peering her head inside, she saw that he had a stack of papers on his desk. They seemed like letters. Her entire body followed her as she went deeper into the room and twisted her foot into the carpeting as if she were a little nervous. She looked at Xavier, a smile crossing her face. She couldnt help it. He was the savior that pulled her out of the darkness and gave her a home. "Hi, professor. I was wondering if i could talk to you?" She said in her greek almost Australian sounding accent. Quickly she pulled up a seat so as not to make him look up at her, then realized the stack of papers once more. Her thoughts started to race away from her as she looked at them. "Actually, you seem rather busy." She said, standing back up. "I guess it can wait." It wasnt her intention to interrupt him at all, but there was nothing else she could think of to do. Now she had just ruined her chance to talk to him. Inside, she was beating herself up for it. She couldnt help if she was supernatural and no one understood that. Of course she didnt want people making fun of her for her "pretend" cat-like ears and wearing them all the time but what was she to do. She couldnt bring up this matter with the professor while he was busy. That was just rude. Then again, what did she know about rude. She grew up on the streets, never taught the right way to talk to people or even treat them, just the wrong way. Slowly, she made her way back to the door. Something stopped her from reopening it though. Something inside her told her not to chicken out, but to just tell him that she felt like crying every time she entered a class room. Everyone stared at her. Everyone seemed to make fun of her. She had to be tough on the streets, but now that she had a home, it was like all those tough emotions flew out the window and she was a little girl again, being picked on by the tough boys. She could always play it off like nothing was wrong, but not to tell anyone usually killed her inside. It was the reason she shifted forms to different things all the time. Her hand trembled on the knob from when she had placed it there from before. She looked back at Xavier, not realizing that all of these events had happened in rapid succession. It all seemed so slow when she had been doing the movements. She turned back to Xavier and just looked at him, knowing he was able to hear her thoughts as they passed through her head. "I'm sorry i disturbed you." She said as she started to open the door. |
As he suspected, Xavier sounded more entertained than anything. "Actually it was our newest member that did the info gathering. But he saw a certain someone and followed them leading him to a meeting." He paused for a moment for amusement's sake, "Apparently Dante was there along with his partner. They've decided to side with Remy and the rebels." A smile crept on the brunettes face, "So what would you have us do Xavier? This could be bad for the school if we have an all out war on campus. How do you want this handled?" Whatever happened next would be fun for him either way. Chaos was swirling around this campus and things were definitely going to get worse before they got better. . .
--- Quiese waited silently as the two of them finalized their chat and Dante left. Now that they were alone Quiese smiled gently, "Follow me please. We need to go somewhere quiet to discuss this." Taking the lead the male weaved effortlessly through the crowds and then made his way to outdoor lunch area which only had a few people around at the moment . Picking a table that was empty and away from most everyone else he took a seat and tied his dreads into a ponytail. After Emma was seated he looked down at his hands as he played with them, "I've heard some things of a rebellion going on against Xavier. I've also heard that you and Remy were apart of it." He allowed a short silence to linger and give her time to think about his words, "I want to help you guys if that's the case." To be honest he was really quite upset that no one had told him about this to begin with, but maybe they didn't see him as a friend like he did them? It wouldn't surprise him if they were only being nice to him because they felt bad for him. Quiese wanted to ask but couldn't. It would accomplish nothing at this point, besides he didn't want to make things awkward between them nor lose the only people he considered friends. He would just have to let it be. |
((*laugh* Ah, yes. I said it was 6th period . . . but I haven't changed that in many months. So . . . that was the previous day in the rp. The day has begun anew! I am going to say that it's 3rd period now.
Surrogate father, eh? I suppose Xavier can seem like that to some. ;) He's a very interesting guy, for sure!)) Xavier silently "listened" to Nila as she sat down, stood, and headed back for the door. The headmaster merely kept his gaze on her steadily, as though he was calculating her reactions. As the girl touched the handle of the door, he let his red eyes meet hers. "You disturbed no one, Nila." His dark hair shifted away from his glowing eyes, and he blinked as slowly as a cat might. As she opened the door, he spoke again. "I can have you transferred to all mutant classrooms, if you would feel more comfortable." It was strange. Sometimes Xavier was caring . . . but those were rare moments. It seemed that he actually cared for those in his care, yet hated others. He was a living contradiction. His physical form was concentrated on the present moment, but another conversation continued in his mind. Hearing Tyrod's voice again, the headmaster narrowed his eyes. 'Destroy him. Leave Kyreian and the Rebels to the other Elite.' Xavier smiled slightly. 'And inform Jinesis that his actions were pleasing.' If some of the Elite were going to side with the mud-bloods, so be it. They would be destroyed just like the half-bloods they stood for. Xavier didn't regret it. Not one moment did he rethink the decision. Dante would die, morale for the Rebels would fall, and they would be reckless. The pieces would fall into place easily. 'Do it silently.' - Emma followed Quiese to the outdoor lunch area silently. When they got there the blonde had a brief moment in which she watched him tie his hair back. When they'd first met Emma had wanted to touch his dreadlocks so badly it hurt. She smiled slightly at the thought, but was brought back to reality when he started talking. Her blue eyes darkened, and Emma moved her gaze away from the blind male. Looking at the ground between her feet, she rested her elbows on her knees and sighed. Should I say anything? "Where did you hear it?" she asked quietly, though she knew it didn't matter. Carefully regarding the blind youth, Emma stared at him with an intensity she reserved only for him. It was easy to look at someone who couldn't see you looking - it wasn't as strange, honestly. With a swallow, she nodded. "Yes. There's a rebellion." Her voice lowered further. "And yes, Remy and I have become the leaders." It was then that the blonde fell silent, her pale features filling with anxiety. Her voice moved into his mind then. 'Xavier brought us here so he could sort us out. Pure bloods are spared, while the rest are killed. Humans are here just for variety . . . and cover.' It kept everyone under control if they couldn't be blatantly mutants. 'I first heard of it when I was brought here. I've always hated Xavier, this just gives me a reason to disgust him completely.' He was rounding them up and sorting them out. Half bloods would die while the pure bloods were trained to their greatest potential. The Elite were all pure-blooded. Xavier had them on his leash already. 'I don't know what we're going to do. He put a barrier up so we can't leave the academy.' Her eyes never left Quiese's face as she "spoke." Finally looking at the ground again, Emma smiled grimly. 'We're not in any condition to deny help. I would love for you to join us, Quiese.' Why hadn't she thought of it sooner? |
Nilla looked back at Xavier with happiness in her eyes. "You can?" She asked gleefully as she almost ran back over to the desk. This was probably one of the best things that could happen to her. Not only did she have an actual home, a bed, and food, but she also would be able to fit in with others which would definitely help with her morale. She really just wanted to hug the man in front of her, but something told her that he was dealing with something other than her at the moment. She twirled around instead, like a little girl on christmas. "Your the best Professor!" She said before realizing she was getting a little out of control with her happiness. In seeing that, she decided that sitting down was probably the best idea at the moment.
"Can i do something for you in return? Anything at all?" The words were almost hesitant. It was like she didnt know how to ask, but that was probably only because she had never received any kind of treatment like this. It was almost like the one time a nice couple brought her some food. They smiled at her ears, thinking that they were just toys that she had found on the street, until they touched them while she was eating. The couple was horrified and ran off. The food was grand though, so she didnt mind the scared yet insulting gestures that came from them as they left. If i could just help him in anyway, maybe that would stop me from feeling so guilty about living here. Of course when she thought of the words, she had forgotten that the man could read her mind. She waited patiently for the man to answer her as she looked out the window at the hawk that was flying over head of the courtyard. |
(Good idea madam!)
A broad smile grew from the older mutant which troubled the newfound elite. That face doesn't look good. "Then I can use my full power if I see fit correct?" Tyrod had to ask because of how destructive his powers were at full force and would likely destroy something in the process. "What did he say Brother?" With the grin the still on his face Tyrod turned to his companion and smoothly replied, "Dante has to die. . ." The blood rushed from Jin's face immediately as he stood there stunned by the older male's words. "What do you mean die? Like we have to actually kill him!?!" The brunette's right brow lifted at the question, "Of course. What did you expect?" Looking frantically at the ground for answers Jinesis quickly replied, "I didn't think we'd have to kill him! But if that's the only way and what Xavier wants, what can we do?" Tyrod wasn't overly pleased to hear Jin sounding so defeated but if it meant he would get to be entertained, then he wouldn't complain at the moment. "Then let's not waste too much time. We have work to do." "Fine." "Oh and by the way. Let me do all the fighting." "What! Why?" "Because you don't stand a chance against Dante if he's serious. That's why." Reluctantly, Jin nodded as his locks of hair swayed against his back. This is stupid. . . The two left the auditorium in search of their target. --- Emma had no idea that he was staring at her this entire time reading her emotion or that he could actually 'see' her, if not through his eyes. He listened silently as Emma spoke to him verbally and mentally. "So it is true then." His eyebrows narrowed a bit as his anger finally rose to the surface, "Why didn't either of you tell me?" He had a mind to say a little more than that but held his tongue. No need for things to get ugly if they were agreeing to help one another. Calming himself quickly he grinned gently to show his anger had subsided. "Well now that I have an understanding of the situation, what would you have me do?" Even though both she and Remy knew he was a mutant neither of them knew anything about his abilities. "Well I suppose before you can answer that I should tell you what I can do." Using a finger to indicate that she should listen mentally. First, I can phase into a phantom form in which I can manipulate spectral energy. In this form I can't be hit with anything physical, but I can still be burnt or frozen and such but the reverse is also true. I can't grab anything solid. Now on the other hand when I'm in my natual state, as I am now, I can manipulate shadows or general darkness, such as bending it to my will to possibly hide something. And I can become completely invisible at night at will or in a dark room. That's the extent of my powers. Oh and one last thing. I can only use my powers when my eyes are open. Even though I can see with them closed. He grinned devilishly, knowing she would be surprised and it would explain why he manuevered so well without being able to physically see. |
Xavier seemed to smile at Nila's twirl, but he didn't actually show the expression on his pale face. Instead, he set his pen down and regarded her in silence as he listened to her thoughts. "I happen to need someone to listen in with the other mutants," he said slowly. "There is a rebellion starting within the academy. I could use your ears, little one." Tendrils of shadow licked over the top of his desk. "If you want to help me, I would like you to use your time in mutant classrooms usefully. Listen to them. Gain their trust. Tell me who the Rebels are." He already knew. Xavier already knew who the Rebels were. This was just his way of gaining loyalty.
"Do you feel comfortable with that, Nila?" He watched her gaze out the window, and then turned his gaze to her features again. He mentally laughed. 'Yes, Tyrod. Use everything. Bring me his head.' With that, the headmaster turned his full attention to Nila once again. A strange smile made its way to his lips, but he didn't bother explaining it. Can he destroy Dante? Why, yes. Xavier believed he could. (But Esmme isn't sure she wants to lose him. . . .) - Dante turned his gaze away from the window. It looked like Emma was dealing with Quiese easily, so it wouldn't be an issue to leave them be. His wound suddenly pulsed. With a hiss, Dante pressed a hand to the side of his neck. Why is Xavier calling me? It was the strangest call he'd gotten. This one held the distinct trace of disappointment. Has he found out about our meeting with Remy? Without giving it much thought, the silver-haired male started toward Xavier's office. Maybe it's something small. - Emma was taken aback by Quiese's sudden anger. "This isn't something I run around blabbering to all my friends!" she said incredulously, glaring at the youth in annoyance. She knew why he was angry, but he should understand why she hadn't mentioned it. "Things have been too busy for me to mention it to you. I fought with Remy about telling you, anyway." It was true: just a couple days ago they'd yelled and fought like they were a bonafide couple. Emma had finally given in. She hadn't told anyone who hadn't already known about the rebellion. They agreed that it was safer to keep some mutants out of the loop. It was safer for the Rebels, and it was safer for those who weren't involved at all. When Quiese calmed, she closed her eyes and nodded. She could calm herself too. This wasn't why they were here. They weren't there to fight. She watched him as he explained his powers, muttering a few comments here and there to let him know she was listening. When he got to the part about being able to see, her eyes widened. Without thinking, she reached out to smack his arm in shock. "No!" Alarmed, she glanced around . . . and sent her words mentally. 'You can't see! There's no . . . way. How many fingers am I holding up? It was just too strange. |
