Sasori thought for a moment and then looked at the blonde as he said,"We have to go and ask the other Akatsuki member, unless you have a better idea."
Sasuke nodded at the good news that he was hearing from the blonde knight in front of him. He sighed in relief when he heard that they would be safe there for a while. At least something good was happening in his life right now. He felt the blonde take his hand in his own as he was practically dragged out of the room to look for some girl named Hinata. |
Deidara shook his head as he frowned. "No.. I don't." he said, sighing. "Let's go though." He did not like the idea of involving the others. What if someone else took the credit for capturing Naruto? Actually.. He didn't care much about that. All he really wanted to do was torture the fox for knocking him into the fire.
Hinata wasn't that hard to find, to be honest. She was sitting at a small table in the library, sipping a glass of tea, her servants coming and going as needed. Her eyes lit up though when she saw Naruto and she smiled brightly. "Naruto-kun! What are you doing here?" she asked, setting her glass down.Naruto came to a stop by the table and let go of Sasuke's hand then. He smiled as he put the hands on the back of his head in a lazy posture. "Well... We kind of have a situation..." he admitted. He saw no point in beating around the bush. He explained to her what was going on. She listened quietly and patiently. When the blond was done, she smiled lightly. "You can stay here for as long as you need. I'll talk to my father, so you don't need to worry about it." she said. She summoned up a servant and sent her off to prepare a room for their guests. Or seperate rooms, if they prefer. But Naruto insisted that they have the same room so that he could keep a better eye on Sasuke so that he could protect him better. |
Sasori nodded as he turned around and went running back to wards their base by the waterfall.
Sasuke continued to walk with Sasuke, he didn't have much of a choice, since the blonde still had his hand in his own. He walked in through a pair of double doors into a large study, library kind of area as he looked around. There were books everywhere. Countless ones that he had never seen before. Sasuke smiled when he listened to the two of them talking as he began to wander around the library looking at the different books. |
Deidara followed after Sasori silently, not liking having to ask for help. But he didn't complain, knowing that it would do no good.
Naruto watched Sasuke wandering from the corner of his eye, a small smile on his face. Once he was certain that their sleeping arrangements were finalized, he smiled at Hinata and thanked her for her hospitality. But he wanted to go off to explore the area, which she didn't mind him doing. He turned and walked over to Sasuke. "Want to go exploring?" he asked. |
Sasuke let his hand run over the different tomes that were sitting on the shelves as he smiled. He remembered doing this when he had free time back at home, but that was such a long time ago. It was before his real mother had died, and well before the snake had come into his life. Sasuke turned to Naruto and nodded his head as he said,"Sure. I am not too tired yet. It sounds fun."

Naruto smiled lightly when Sasuke said he was okay with exploring. Of course, the blond had been here on more than one occasion, but he knew that Sasuke hadn't. Besides, things seemed to get moved around all the time so that there was always something different to look at. "Alright! Just lead the way, my prince!" he exclaimed, not really knowing why he was using that formality. He shrugged it off though, not thinking that it was a big deal.

Sasuke had really hoped that the blonde would have taken the initiative in leading them around. Clearly it seemed that Naruto had been to this particular place more than he had. He turned to the blonde and looked at him and said,"First, can you lead us around and second. Don't call me prince here please. Not a lot of people like my family."

Naruto frowned lightly for a second before nodding. "Yeah.. Alright. I'm sorry." he said, turning and leading the way out of the room. As far as he was aware, the Hyuga's didn't hate the Uchiha's. But he would do what Sasuke wanted without complaint. As they walked, he pointed out the various rooms that he actually knew what they were, glancing every once in awhile back at Sasuke to make sure he was still following.

Sasuke followed behind Naruto as he heard the blonde prattle off about this room and that room. As they walked he passed some double doors that were slightly ajar. His curiosity got the better of him as he looked forward to see if Naruto was still moving as he went and investigated the room that he was curious about.

Naruto didn't notice at first when Sasuke had stopped walking. He froze, midword though, as he scanned the hallway for the lost prince. 'Crap! Where did he go?!' the blond thought, going back down the hallway and looking in all the rooms. What if an Aatsuki member had gotten in and stolen Sasuke away? That would not be good! He sighed in relief though when he seen his friend. "There you are! I was worried about you!"

Sasuke whipped around when he heard the voice of the blonde. "Sorry," replied Sasuke as he looked around the room that he was in. "What is this place?"

Naruto looked around the room quietly for a second. His eyes widened though when he seen where they were. This was not good. They were in Lord Hiashi's private study. No-one was allowed in here without permission. "It's a place we're not supposed to be." the blond said, grabbing hold of Sasuke's hand and pulling him quickly to the door. "We need to get out of here right away."

Sasuke pulled his hand away from the blonde. Sasuke didn't even hear what the blonde was saying as he walked over to a bookshelf and began looking at the different titles of the books. He looked over and saw the pure anxiousness in his eyes as he said,"Alright we should get going now, you're right." He walked towards the entrance to the study.

Naruto almost sighed in relief when Sasuke said he was ready to go. But he took one step towards the door and froze when it opened. 'Not good!' he thought when Lord Hiashi himself walked into the room.
Hiashi's eyes scanned the room briefly, a habit he has formed over the many years, and his attention landed on Naruto. His eyes narrowed as he took a step towards the blond. "What are you doing here?" he asked, his tone remaining relatively calm, but it was easy to see the underlying anger. "Uh.. Well.. Hinata said we can stay awhile.." Naruto said, forcing himself to keep his attention on Hiashi, even though he wanted to drop it to the ground. Hiashi twitched lightly. So Hinata let the fox into their home? He was going to have to have a serious talk with his daughter. He took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm and he pointed to the door. "I don't care if you stay. But don not touch anything you shouldn't be touching or go anyplace you shouldn't be. Do you understand?" Naruto nodded and grabbed hold of Sasuke's arm, pulling him towards the door. "Yes sir! I'll be sure to stay out of your way as much as possible." he said, exiting the room quickly. The door was shut once they were only a few steps outside and the blond sighed in relief. "That was a close one.. I thought he was going to snap at me." he muttered, looking over at Sasuke to see how he was doing after meeting the head of the household. |
Sasuke immediately froze when he saw the door open to reveal Hiashi Hyuga standing there looking rather cross with the two of them. He listened to the other man talk and listened to what he was saying. He knew by the tone that he was talking to Naruto with he didn't think much of the blonde. He thought that the other male was going to tell them to get out, but he didn't say much other than don't touch anything. He watched as the other male left the room and then he looked at Naruto and said,"Let's get out of here. I think we have already overstayed our welcome here in this room." He yawned. "Besides, I think I am getting rather tired.

Naruto nodded and led the way through the halls to where they would be sleeping at. And even though he wasn't particularly tired right now, that didn't mean he couldn't lay down. When he got to the room though, he froze. There was only one bed. Of course, that really shouldn't be that much of a surprised. After all, this was a big house, so there shouldn't be any reason for a room to have two beds in it. And the blond did say he wanted to share a room with Sasuke... It looked like he was going to be sleeping on the floor. Not that he minded, of course.

When Sasuke got to the room he looked at the room that they would be staying and broke out into a blush. There was one bed. One bed for the two of them. Sasuke turned his head and looked towards the floor. He knew immediately that Naruto would volunteer to stay on the floor, but Sasuke also knew that he would deny that out right. Walking towards the bed he looked at the blonde as he sat down on the bed as he patted the spot next to him. "I know it's not proper," said Sasuke as he looked at the ground. "I also believe that you deserve to sleep in a bed, and it would be too much to ask for another bed to be brought in here."

Naruto glanced curiously at Sasuke when he seen the blush. Was it really that embarrassing to be in the same room as him? He hoped that wasn't the case. He was about to take a seat on the ground and planning on talking to Hinata later about getting a different room when he heard what Sasuke said. He raised an eyebrow lightly as he walked over and took a seat on the bed next to Sasuke. He really didn't mind sharing the bed at all."Don't worry. I'll be sure to give you plenty of room." he said, hoping he didn't end up stretching out like he normally did when he slept.

Sasuke nodded as he looked at the blonde. "I know you will," replied Sasuke. Getting off of the bed he looked at the blonde and said,"I am going to go and take a bath somewhere. I would imagine that a place like this has an open air bath, would you like to join me?"

Naruto thought for a moment before nodding as he stood. "Yeah! That sounds good to me!" he exclaimed. Nothing felt better after a long day of traveling than being able to relax in a nice, warm bath. He headed to the door and opened the door. He knew exactly where the bath was and was eagerly awaiting the time where they could relax.

Sasuke nodded as he began rummaging around through some of the stuff in his bag. He brought out a towel and a bar of soap as well as a bottle of his favorite shampoo. "You can use some of this as well," said Sasuke as he looked at Naruto. "Lead the way whenever you are ready."

Naruto smiled lightly as he nodded. "Let's get going!" he exclaimed, heading down the hall towards the bath. A passing by saw the towel in Sasuke's hand and figured they were on the way to the bath. She'd be sure to fetch some robes for them to use later for when they were done. Naruto smiled lightly at her as he opened the door to the bath, allowing Sasuke to enter first.

Sasuke dutifully followed behind Naruto as the two of them went winding down the various paths towards the bathing room. Sasuke stopped in front of Naruto, almost colliding with the blonde as he waited for the blonde to open the door to the bathing room. When he saw the blonde open the door a waft of steamy air came rushing towards him. Glancing at Naruto he walked into the steamy room and placed his stuff on a nearby chair waiting for the blonde to come and join him.

Naruto hadn't been expecting Sasuke to be so close behind him and he was glad when the other didn't run into him. He put a smile on his face as the steam from the bath wafted out into the hallway and he followed after him happily enough. He closed the door behind them and took a deep breath, letting the clean, moist air fill his lungs for a minute before he let out a satisfied sigh. The blond shot one more smile at Sasuke before he stripped down and stepped into the hot water, loving the way it felt.

Sasuke looked over at Naruto and noticed that he had stripped completely down to his skin. Thus seeing this he immediately turned red and hid his face as he looked at the ground. Figuring that he should follow suit as well he shrugged out of his clothing as he grabbed his bathing bucket and got into the water with a satisfied sigh.
