Margaret nodded.
"Yeah, it is," she said. "Where did you get it? I'll have to keep that place in mind whenever we're here in town." |
"It's this little cafe called Randy's. It's just down the street." Aleron grinned
"I'll make sure to add it to my list of Places To Go in Johto," Margaret replied. "Right next to the Ruins and Dragon Cave."
"Awesome." Aleron grinned and settled down there, finishing her food. "Well, I guess we're spending the night here, so we might as well get comfortable."
"Sounds good to me," Margaret replied. She twisted one of her arms so her elbow popped. "You know, there's this really good little breakfast/lunch place in Saffron that I like, I should take you there sometime. I go there every time I'm in town at least once."
"Hey, sounds good to me," Aleron said with a grin. "I'd love to try a new place. I know that there's a place by home, if we ever go to my home, that I just have to take you. They make everything from scratch."
Margaret nodded.
"So does the place back home," she replied. "Home-made everything, it's wonderful. When we're in Saffron, we'll go." They would be in Saffron at least for a little while, since the Magnet Train went between there and Goldenrod. |
Aleron nodded with a happy little sigh. "Now I kinda miss home. You'll definitely have to come visit. I think Espeon especially would like it, since we have so many Eevees and Eeveelutions."
"Oh that'll be a trip," Margaret said. She grinned. "It sounds like fun. Maybe when we get to Saffron I can get you into Silph Co for a tour or something. I have my own badge to get in, since my parents both work there. They took me in so often that eventually they got me a badge so that they wouldn't have to keep checking me through security."
"Ooooooh, nice," Aleron said appreciatively. "I'd love that. I've heard a lot about Silph Co., but it's different actually going there, y'know?"
Margaret grinned.
"They used to give me freebies all the time," she said. "Pretty much the whole year before I got my trainer's license. They gave me all these promo items, and every so often I still go home and find things on my bed that my parents got for me." |
"Nice." Aleron smiled. "That must be pretty cool." She paused for a moment. "Hey, when's your birthday?"
"Beginning of December," Margaret replied. She grinned. "Best time of the year, when everything is cold and snowy and beautiful. I just make sure I'm home or somewhere tropical so I don't have to hike through it."
Aleron laughed. "Yeah, we get some snow at home. Not a lot, though. We do get some pretty nasty rain. You should see some of the pokemon, they freak out like anything heavier than fog will kill them. It's kind of hilarious."
Margaret snickered.
"This I have to see," she said. "It must be kind of neat to run a farm like that." |
"It is. It's a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun too. Plus you get to meet a lot of people."
"I can imagine," Margaret replied. "Saffron is a big city, there aren't any farms around. The closest real farm area is probably around Lavender Town, or Cerulean City."
"Yeah. You also live in a big city area." Aleron shrugged. "I like visiting, but I like the countryside better."
"I've never really been to a working farm," Margaret admitted. "I had to go past them when I was traveling Kanto, but I never really looked around before."
"I will be sure to show you around our farm, then," Aleron said with a grin. "I think you'll like it."
"I'll take your word for it," Margaret replied. Stretching a bit, she sighed. "I'm probably going to get some rest... Did we want to go to Kanto tomorrow or wander around Johto for a while?"
"Head over to Kanto, I think," Aleron said. "If you're cool with that. I kinda want to see Kanto now, see if anything's going on with your legendaries."
"Fine with me," Margaret replied. "We can go back to Goldenrod and take the Magnet Train from there to Saffron." She paused. "Unless you wanted to buy a ticket for the SS Anne in Olivine, but that takes a lot longer."
"No, thanks," Aleron said. "I'm a fire-type lover. I don't generally go over water unless I absolutely have to." She wrinkled her nose a litle.
"Magnet Train it is," Margaret replied. "You might have some issues in the Cerulean Gym, if you hate water," she added teasingly. "It'll give your Jolteon a workout, though. Misty uses a Horsea, a Staryu, and a Starmie as her gym battle lineup."
