"Like I said, it's what I would do," Margaret said. "You had your parents' ranch, and it was full of fire-types. And my parents made sure to get me psychic-types of my own early, when I was just getting started as a trainer. But anyone else?" She shook her head. "Every trainer eventually goes through the gyms. I know I would have stayed very firmly in Saffron if I'd walked into Sabrina's gym before I realized I favored psychic-types. Her gym is later in the circuit, but a gym like Misty's water-type one is early. It's possible."
"Well, we'll have to investigate later." Aleron grinned. "We've got time. I don't think there's any big hurry, after all."
"Right," Margaret said. With a sigh, she laid back on the grass, and grinned when Shaymin came to investigate. "Hello to you too, little one," she said.
Aleron did a little more weeding before she found her own spot to stretch out, and Suicune and Virizion came over to cuddle. She just grinned and let them.
Margaret grinned when Mew floated over, carrying the Celebi egg. He settled in next to her with the egg and snuggled close.
Aleron just lounged there for a while, letting the legendaries settle in next to her and not even complaining when a few more decided to join the pile. Because clearly they were all far too relaxed.
Margaret totally didn't mind when Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie joined the snuggle pile of psychics. She was slowly getting buried in them, but it wasn't as if any of them was an Onix or anything, so she let them get comfortable.
Aleron ended up lounging there for the rest of the afternoon, until she finally managed to get them all off so she could go inside and get dinner for everyone.
Margaret had gotten up a while before Aleron, but only to move into the shade. She could feel her skin burning from laying in the sun, and a full-on sunburn was unpleasant. Once the sun started setting, though, she got up and followed Aleron inside.
Aleron got out pokemon food for their various pokemon before she started cooking for the two of them.
"So, when do you think you'll go to Silph Co?" |
"I can go whenever," Margaret replied, sitting and watching Aleron cook. "Noctowl can Fly me there and back."
"Yeah, I figured as much." Aleron glanced over at her. "You want to go feed the pokemon? This will take a little bit longer, still."
"Sure," Margaret said getting up. She went to grab the pokemon food, and then headed out to meet the waiting horde.
Aleron grinned when she heard demanding sounds from some of the pokemon and shook her head, going back to chopping veggies for their dinner.
Margaret, however, was used to demanding pokemon, and didn't give in to the complaining. She did, however, let Noctowl and Natu take some food to Ralts. The little psychic-type was still worryingly timid, and didn't get close enough for her to feed it herself.
Aleron took her time cooking so everything would turn out good, and then she poked her head outside.
"Hey, Margaret? Everything's done." |
Margaret managed to wriggle out from where she had been Growlithe-piled by the legendaries and grinned.
"Alright, be right there," she said, trying to get Mew off of her head again. |
Aleron snorted when she saw and shook her head, going back inside. Oh honestly. She portioned out food onto plates and set a plate out for Margaret for whenever she disentangled herself.
Margaret managed to get Mew off of her head long enough to distract him with a treat and escape. She slid into her seat in the kitchen and grinned.
"See? Not difficult." |
"Yeah, you're getting the hang of it." Aleron snickered and shook her head. "It's highly amusing to watch, too." She grinned and settled down to eat.
"Oh hush," Margaret replied, grinning. "We'll find you one that clings to your head, then you won't think it's so amusing."
Aleron just snickered and shook her head, relaxing there.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm sure." |
Margaret snickered.
"We can find you a Magby or something," she offered. "I bet that'll do it." |
Aleron snickered. Magbys were very cute, after all.
And probably easier to talk off her head than Mew. |
Margaret rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to dinner.
