 Ah, I think we're going out tonight. Christmas shopping. Our roommate gave us some money; so we're going to use that~
Ooh. I made a cup of tea yesterday morning, but just couldn't finish it. :s ...... -stuffs a spoonful of oatmeal into Ted-san's mouth- > x> |
Christmas shopp- isn't it barely even the 1st of December? o_o;; |
Well yeah, but we have to mail stuff out. Basically just want to get it out of the way. :XD
Probably left it because it was late .. It was apples and cinnamon flavor. :ninja: -saves can of soda for when not sick- xDD |
Ahh. xD;; |
> A> I don't doubt it... That's what lists are for! Family members is just movies or games and stuff, gift card maybe. But I'm buying some random things for Elluh and another friend. Need to get cards too. P:
Ohhh. :XD Maybe you just look that tired. Or maybe they think you're sexay~ ;DDD Yus! .... ; o; I love this stuff. -clings to ale and sips- ありがとう! |
I guess it's because people here don't celebrate Christmas as much, so we don't usually go around buying gifts and all that...maybe for a kid, but not for adults...(well, most of the time anyway) |
Ah. That makes sense. I'll get you a gift anyway. P:
 Fine! It's because you look tired then. -sneezes and curls up in the blanket- = w= <33 |
Aw, you don't have to. Maybe the Dan-plushie? |
The plushie of yourself?! :XD Nono, I have an idea for something. P:
Mmm that's a good sleep time. -mumbles in a daze- |
Yeah, it's cute! XD |
Well it's miiine. :ninja:
Yus. That's part of gift-giving. xDD Ah yeah, that's true. Like my disaster of trying to get to bed that one night. Too many naps. -snugs-<33 Night! Have a good sleep~ :3 |
xD It's been waaaay too long since I've recieved a gift for Christmas or birthday, etc. :P |
I've done most of my Christmas shopping already... but that's because I'm going home mid-month and will be leaving family again before Christmas. I didn't want to miss Christmas in Japan, so I'm missing it in the US. I still have to get stuff for my in-laws.... *groan* I'm thinking a nicely packaged heartless canister of loose-leaf tea.
|
Getting gifts sounds like quite a task. o_o; |
I've already finished my grandmothers gift, I just need to make my Autn's gift, get my friend's gift done, and work on my mom's gift.
|
...I think that my family will completely forget about it, me included. At most I might leave a few 'Merry Christmas' messages on my friends' FB, but that's about it. |
I just made an origami fishie.
|
I have a stomachache. :gonk: |
*Enters into the thread through an open window*
Awww. Poor Dan!! :gonk: Try some salt crackers and some gingerale? |
Don't have any here right now, I'm at work. *drinks tiramisu flavored milk tea* |
Tiramisu-flavored milk tea? Oooh, sounds yummy!
Yeah, Christmas is our big gift-giving season. China has New Year's, right? The tradition of getting money from relatives sounds like a nice one, instead of getting something you're not sure you want or know you don't want or know you will throw out or use up or forget about in a few minutes/days/weeks/months. Still, if anyone in my family just gave cold hard cash (and you can even tell by that expression what the view of "cash" is in English as a gift) it would be seen as a cop-out. Even a gift certificate is cop-out. Though when it's a gift certificate that can be used in, say, a country-wide chain of malls (like the Westfield gift cards) that's pretty nice. I dunno. I go back and forth on what makes more sense. Part of me thinks that it is a nice rosy ideal, to be able to buy a gift for a loved or liked one and know it's something they'll enjoy. It's kind of a test of friendship. And yet it's not considered un-friendlike to just ask, "Hey, what do you want for Christmas?" Giving money just seems too impersonal... but it's more practical, and I know I'd *like* to just get money sometimes. |
Yeah, there are pros and cons to both sides. :) I'd like money, but at the same time I'd like it if others surprised me with something I wasn't expecting...unless it was something totally random and something I'd probably not ever use or be seen with...say, a pink tutu. |

Well, I know what I want to get you, it's just finding it now. xDDD -pat- c: Quote:

-- Just got back home. Making dinner. Chili! |
CHILI, yum. As much as I love Japanese food, the first thing I'm doing when I go home for Christmas is getting a burrito. The next is getting a turkey sandwich. And the third is... um... *tries to think of more food* A hamburger! A real, proper, home-made hamburger, which we usually make from bison meat. Yum yum yum....
