Hey guys!
Guess what? I'm getting over being sick! Again. For the second time in two weeks. :stare: Two completely different illnesses. |
ouch. are you familiar with the term "overachiever?"
Mon is currently taking a nap. Again. |
Is she sick or something?
|
*twirls scythe* I have always wanted to do that! :squee: How is everyone?
|
Doin alright.
It's not really sick, I don't think, although I suppose it is possible that she's GOING to be sick soon, which would explain the lethargy and such. Most of it is there's just been a lot of stress lately and I think it's worn her down some. We both had a couple of weeks of really horrific insomnia and so we're still kind of recovering from that...I can usually do it with one good 12 hour block of sleep...it takes her a little more, I think. She's been sleeping a lot lately. I'm not gonna argue with it, I'm just gonna hope she feels better soon. |
I hope monmon feels better soon too, quasievilgenius.
|
Yeah, I hope so too.
My sister LOVES scythes, but the skull kind of freaked her out, I guess. and for some reason she doesn't like my peacock scythe either. |
fairy: maybe she just likes regular plain scythes?
|
double-scythe for the win?
|
A double scythe sounds AWESOME! I would so get one, if they sold them around here. xD
|
honestly I get the feeling it would cause a weird aesthetic imbalance in the negative space over the avatar's left shoulder, and depending on blade length and width could conceivably block out a chunk of face as well.
|
Yeah, I guess so.
They should TOTALLY make that an item soon. They could make it go behind the back? |
It's possible. I don't know enough to be able to say anything really, I'm neither a coder nor a pixelist, but I'm not sure that they could make one side of the item layer beneath something while the rest of the item layers above it? It's possible, and I'm sure it could be done, I'm just not sure if that's how they do it. I haven't seen enough of the avatar elements layering together to pretend I know what I'm talking about. It would be cool though.
Although technically I suppose you could just move the WHOLE scythe behind the back, get that bad ass Magus look going on. |
I think its possible to make it, they would just have to figure out a good pose for it.
|
basically, yeah. I think given the arm position in the down pose, it shouldn't be hard to layer a handheld item like a double scythe in one hand at either a slight angle behind the back or at like...a 45 degree kind of angle diagonally from right shoulder to left hip. So that an attack would basically be a wide arcing horizontal swing or a diagonal upward cut starting from the hip to shoulder to follow through.
Which I'm sure makes infinitely more sense in my head than out loud, since I can see it in my head. |
Wow, you really thought this through! I think it's totally possible, but I don't know if they'll do it any time soon since they do have two already but it would be neat.
|
I hope they do though...I want something AWESOME! I hope next months CI's are AWESOME. :)
|
Actually, I didn't put any thought into it. That's just kinda...how my brain streams.
There's very little conscious effort behind it. |
quasievilgenius: >> sweeeet.
|
not really. it NEVER stops.
It's one of the reasons I have trouble sleeping. I can be exhausted, up for 48 hours ready to die, and if I lay down and I'm not careful, I'll start thinking about story ideas, world ideas, characters, magic systems, or I'll have pre-emptive conversations that I'm going to actually have in the future with people in my head trying to figure out angles of approach and the overall potential worth of the exchange. my brain...never...stops. Which is why I smoked a lot of weed for a lot of years. It slows me down to one or two or three thoughts at a time. ---------- I'd probably be a hell of a chess player, if I'd ever learned proper chess strategy. Unfortunately I'm...not bad at it, but I'm not really good at it either. Solitaire, on the other hand...record time as of this morning for three-card draw solitaire: 52 seconds. |
You sound like me when I'm manic. I mean, you might want to consider seeing a psych. Even if you don't get depressed, I think you can have mania. I think it's under-diagnosed because people don't always think it's a problem.
|
hai guyssss!
-is not exactly sane-- |
Actually, brain activity is the exact same whether I'm depressed or not. It's not mania, so much, as ADHD. I don't have the physical hyperactivity, I'm incredibly lethargic actually, but my brain runs on jet fuel or something.
|
*would so say what goes on in her head but wont because she doesn't want people to think she is even more insane then she already is*
|
Trust me, the odds of it being that much worse than what goes on in my head on an average day...are less than 30%.
