Nika snorted. "Well, get Seth over here to tell him more about Hermes, and that'll be four. Plus I know at least a little about all the gods."

She walked back over to her car, not looking forward to the long drive over to Wyoming.

"Well, you might as well get going," Dawn replied as she walked out to the cars with Nika. "When you get back, we'll go out and see a movie or something. Let me know if you need an extra pair of hands, alright?"

"Sure thing." Nika touched her shoulder. "Thanks, Dawn. I'll see you as soon as I'm done. Hit Jason a couple times for me."

"I will," Dawn replied. "I'm sure he'll do something that requires me to hit him at least once." She paused as she caught the tail end of another vision and snorted. "Or hogtie him, apparently. I'll have to wait and see what he does to deserve that one."

Nika laughed. "You'll definitely have to tell me about that when I get back."

"I will," Dawn promised. "You should probably go. Best not to keep the higher-ups waiting."

Nika rolled her eyes. "No kidding. I'll see you in a couple days, then." She got into her car and backed out of the driveway.

Dawn ended up spending a few more hours with her family before ultimately going back to camp. It was time for her to deal with her brothers.

Asclepius was still there when she got back, which didn't surprise her. She was sure he had plenty to teach the boys.

"You," she said when she saw him, "we need to talk." Asclepius looked surprised, but nodded and followed her.

"What did you want to talk about, little sister?" he asked. Dawn glanced back at her brothers, and then at him. She was thinking about her vision from earlier.

"If you care about our brothers at all," she said, "then I want you to do me a favor and give Jason the power to be able to heal Nika when she gets back from her 'assignments.'" Asclepius raised an eyebrow.

"And you want me to do this for free?" he asked.

"No, I want you do to this because Jason and I are two of the ones who killed off the Void and it's a really small favor to ask compared to that," Dawn replied. Asclepius seemed to consider that for a moment.

"Alright," he said.

Nika drove straight to Wyoming, never once stopping except in drive-thru lines to get food. By the time she got there she parked somewhere remote and started hiking, looking for the monster. Ares had said that a chimera had gotten loose, somehow, and now she had to take care of it. She grumbled to herself as she hiked, looking around for the damn thing.

By the time she found it, night had fallen again. She'd been gone for over 36 hours now. She hid behind a bush, watching it as it stalked a wolf. A wolf, of all things. Shaking her head, she crouched there for a little while longer before she threw a dagger at it, managing to get the dagger in the eye of the goat head. It screeched and turned towards her, now obviously pissed off. Nika took one look at it and started a strategic movement towards the rear, dodging attacks as she went.

Dawn was actually kind of glad to be back at camp, at first. After two days of hearing the same song from Jason, though, she was at the end of her patience.

"If I have to hear about her green eyes one more time, I'm going to hogtie you and throw you into Ares cabin!" she finally threatened by the end of the second day. She blinked. At least now she knew why she was going to hogtie him.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Jason replied stubbornly. Like all of them in Apollo cabin, he was a terrible liar.

"You're pining," she said. "At least pick another song!"

"I can't help it," Jason replied.

Nika managed to kill the chimera, with a considerable amount of trouble, scrapes, and bruises. Luckily she didn't get stung or bitten. Just scratched and thrown around.

She watched it discorporate before she sighed and started the hike back to her car. It took her another three hours to get back to her car, and then she slept for twelve hours before she headed back to camp. It took her four and a half days roundtrip.

Dawn was about ready to pull her hair out. By now, the entire cabin was completely sick of hearing the same song from Jason nonstop, and they'd all hit him at least once for it. Dawn almost wanted to kick him out of the cabin and make him sleep outside for a day or two just to give them all a break.

Nika finally wandered back into camp, bloody and bruised and battered and half-asleep on her feet. No one saw her at first, and she started to sneak back towards the Ares cabin to get some sleep.

Dawn was up on the roof of Apollo cabin, trying to catch a bit of silence before she had to threaten Jason again. She saw Nika, almost exactly as her vision a few days before.

"Welcome back," she called.

"Thanks." Nika waved a weary hand in greeting, dragging herself up the steps to the cabin. She made it inside and down to her private section in the back before she fell face-first into her hammock and passed out.

Climbing down from the roof, Dawn went into the cabin.

"She's back," she said to Jason. "So I really mean it when I say I'll tie you up and put you in a bag and leave it on the Ares cabin doorstep if you don't stop pining over her now."

Jason just kind of blinked, and Dawn sighed. It was obvious by the look on his face that he hadn't heard anything past 'she's back.'

Seth had already been heading over when he heard Dawn. "Who's back?" he asked, blinking. "And why are you threatening your brother? Anything I need to worry about?"

"Nika's back from her assignment, and if I have to hear the line about her green eyes one more time I'm going to go crazy," Dawn replied. "He's pining and I'm about ready to do something drastic."

"Ah," Seth said wisely. He turned to Jason. "Take some advice: go check on Nika before you drive your sister nuts."

"Nobody goes into Ares cabin except them," Jason said, sounding a bit disappointed. "They hate everyone."

Seth let out an exasperated noise and grabbed the back of Jason's neck, not hard but enough to propel him forward. He pushed him over to the Ares cabin, up the steps, and inside before he shut the door with a bang after Jason.

Nika woke up at the bang, still groggy. She attempted to get up and that's when she really felt all those bruises. She sank back to her hammock with a little groan.

Dawn blinked, a little stunned. That was the single most impressive thing she'd ever seen.

"I could kiss you for that," she said when Seth came back.

Jason got up from where he landed on the floor, grumbling about shooting the Hermes-spawn next chance he got. Then he heard the groan and his attention was immediately drawn to Nika. He winced in sympathy when he saw the bruises, and he went over to her.

"You look like you could use a bit of help," he said.

Seth grinned but didn't quite comment on that. He just kissed her cheek.

"So what song was he thinking while he was pining?"

"I'm fine," Nika said immediately, getting up with a little wince. "I just need to take a bath, soak for a bit."

"Taylor Swift's Sparks Fly," Dawn replied, blushing a bit when he kissed her cheek. "Which is a pity, because I actually like that song. But there's a line about green eyes in there, and that's the line that he kept bringing into focus the most. I plan on getting revenge at the next bonfire, I'm going to play the song."

"You're lying to me," Jason chided gently. "At least now I know why Asclepius suddenly decided to do what he did... Just relax." Softly, he started to hum a hymn to Apollo under his breath and he called on his healing powers to gently ease away Nika's bruises. There were a few fractures that he found, too, which took a bit longer to heal, but he managed to get it all fixed.

"Good, cause I have no idea how that song goes." Seth grinned in an embarrassed way. "It'll be fun to watch him, though."

Nika held very still, kind of awed by what he was doing. She stretched carefully after he was done. A little lingering soreness, but nothing major.

"Wow. That's... a lot better than I've ever had. Thanks."
