Profile Background - Still running into problems
 

Why do you think it would be that, having decided to change out my profile background on a whim, and having followed the necessary steps of uploading the chosen image to one of my albums, the url would be deemed invalid? I copy and pasted the url mene generated for the image. I even tried the BB code without the image tags. I tried multiple images in multiple albums. I've tried logging off, giving it several hours, then trying again. All to no avail. I keep getting the same message: Main has invalid properties: Background Image. All very frustrating.

Is the album set for profile pictures?

It's not a profile only album, no, but the picture I had before wasn't from one of those either.

Well that must have been just a glitch for it to be able to display then, art for your profile does have to be in a profile specific album :)

Alrighty then. Guess that was the problem, I had a faulty frame of reference.

Well, no it's not the problem. Made a album just for profiles, set it as such and what not... still tells me the pictures with in it are invalid.

You have to reselect ALL the photos/images you are using every single time you want to resave your profile.

Yes, but I only have one image, and it's only in one of the options.

So, I thought I'd try it in a different browser. After all, google chrome and Mene don't always jive. But no, still the same problem. I even uploaded different pictures to play around with. I'm perplexed, and even a bit pissy over all this, I've got to say.

I really don't know how to help you because I haven't touched my profile since I set it up forever ago, so I've never run into any problems myself :(

The last time I updated my profile, it was being a bit touchy about the image URLs. I had to redo them after every non-image change I made. Are you trying to change the colors on your profile when this is happening, or can you just not get the images to go in at all?

Not changing the colours from what I set them to initially, just the image(s). In the preview, after I've uploaded, nothing is different from what it's currently set to, and when I go to save it, I get the error message I mentioned in the first post. And if I go back to rectify it, the url is highlighted in red.

Primary content area allowed me to add an image. This was just after background wouldn't so I don't know what to tell you. When I tried to change the text colour within primary content area, it gave me some trouble about it being invalid, but as i didn't save it, it didn't undo it. So, yeah. Still processing what happened.

Hmm, well, I just hit "save" on mine without changing anything, and it tells me that every image has invalid properties as well. So the problem isn't isolated to your account.

This is probably something caused by a vBulletin software update. Or, what I think could also be a possibility, we have out of date templates for some areas. As in, vB has updated, but we haven't.

Let's annoy Insomniac: about this. Can you shed any light, Inso?
