A War In A World Of Wonder <3
THE WAR THAT'S NEVER ENDING.. http://i1.trekearth.com/photos/72376...ada-urskog.jpg In a land that's never been found or touched by humans live thousands of mythical creatures. Their was once a time when every creature loved and cared for each other.. until a Faerie boy killed an Elven boy during an argument. That's when the war started. The faeries were banished to live on an island like mound in the middle of a small pond for the rest of their lives while the elves stayed in their tree homes next to the pond. The Faeries eventually built a kingdom and huts for everyone to live on the island and completely forgot about the elves, until an Elven boy killed a Faerie boy. Then war broke out. A law was made saying that if a Faerie or Elf was found trespassing or communicating with one another they would be killed immediately. Now a hundred years have passed and the war is still going on. Its a whole new generation of Elves and Faeries.. yet, the war continues. But what happens when the Faeries have a masquerade ball for their eldest daughters eighteenth birthday and Elves sneak in to crash the party? Will their be death? Tragedy? Kidnap? You decide. The Faeries are expecting other faeries from all around the world.. so all the elves have to do is take a boat to the kingdom, wear a mask and walk in, as long as their good actors. They have to be able to dance Faerie styled. So it is your decision whether someone gets hurt, falls in love, steals, kidnaps, or etc. The Faeries are very small people that are able to have wings come out of their back at any moment of the day or night. Their about a half of a pencil tall and have never seen creatures larger than them since the Elves are the same height as them. To the Elves and the Faeries, the world looked exactly the same size to them as it did to us. Just grass for them is trees and a pond is the equivalent of a lake. The Faeries act as though their better then the Elves but are one with nature. The Elves: The Elf kingdom lies in a huge tree that they have made into a huge home. The Elves and Faeries lighting is made from lightning bugs and crystals found in the ground that glow. Both have Victorian furniture and outfits and are much alike... yet very different at the same time. The Elves crave for power and are one with nature like the Faeries. Scarlett sat in front of her large vanity mirror while one of the many people her mother hired brushed Scarlett's long green and blue hair. Her teal eyes looked at herself as she got ready for the masquerade ball. Her mother had been nagging her lately about letting a man court her but each time she refused. She gave a small smile to Henny, an old faerie that was looking Scarlett over. "Do I look nice?" She asked, twirling so Henny could make a comment. Henny nodded and hugged Scarlett and slipped Scarlett's black mask over Scarlett's head and over her eyes."Thank you Henny.."She said softly. Henny nodded and left a few minutes later and then Scarlett was dressed in her best. She was wearing a black dress that covered her feet and had golden trim all along it, then for the sleeves it had a maroon puffed out fabric. Her mask was a small black mask that only covered her eyes with small holes for her teal eyes to see threw. Then on the sides of the mask were purple butterflies to match her butterfly pin in her hair. Many people were arriving downstairs to the point where the guests could be heard threw out the whole palace. Scarlett made her way out of her room and down a long hallway with marble black in white flooring and red walls covered with paintings of their ancestors. When she reached the end of the hallway she slowly stepped down the grand staircase that led to the party. Most eyes were on her but she didn't care. She made her way down, ignoring men that wished to dance with her. She wasn't ready to be married, let alone gain any power. Why have riches and power while the people of their kingdom were in war? She watched as couples danced around the large circular room that had a dome like ceiling with a large chandelier. ((Shes wearing the exact same things in her picture. )) |
Natelie walked out of the kitchen. She walked over to the table and sat down a tray of snacks. She stood by the table silently waiting for any trays to become empty. She watched the guest dancing. She wished she could dance but she had to serve the guest. She noticed the princess come down. Natelie thought the princess was the most beautiful faerie here. However, they were aloud to dress up for the event. Natelie's dress was white with a pinkish-orange corset. It was long sleeved too. Her clear wings glistened in the light. She heard her name called from the kitchen so she went back in. She was given a tray of drinks and was told to walk around offering them to who ever wanted them. She did as she was told and walked around giving people drinks. She noticed the princess and walked over. "Can I offer you a drink your highness," she asked offering her a drink.

Alice was sitting in her room with her hair done, she looked at her dress and at the mask she was going to wear and thought to herself 'the dress really isn't me' she stood up and walked over to it. She picked up a pair of scissors and started to cut the dress, when she was done she stood back and looked at it saying "Now that's more like it". Her dress was a a dark purple colour and now had no sleeves and it was not a full skirt, instead it tied around her neck had cuts on the sided and the skirt now looked like it had been torn apart.(Same as in my pic) She smiled and slipped into it and placed her dark purple mask on, it had a black outline and small slits for her emerald eyes to see through. She stepped out into the hall and then decided to not go down the stairs into the ballroom, she walked back into her room and left through her bedroom window and walked around to enter throught the doors. Alice walked through the doors and saw Scarlett walking down the stairs and saw how many people were stairing at her, she was now glad that she didn't go for the traditional way.

Reithar knocked on the Elven Prince's door, his long blonde hair falling down to his mid-back. For a few seconds, he looked up, staring at the ceiling. Then, he shifted to his right side, and yawned. It's been such a long day already, and he wasn't sure he could handle any more. He has been a servant of the Prince for years, now, and they had a special bond. Whenever Robin was in trouble, Reithar was there, to help. They were connected by specific Elven Alchemy. Slowly, he knocked again, a gloved hand hiding the markings. "My master, are you in there?" he called out, shifting back to his left side. He blinked his baby blue eyes a few times, and turned the doorknob, pushing the door open. He stood there, looking around the room. It was gold and silver, with a splash of deep, blood red. 'Red ... Such a beautiful colour ..." he thought and smiled to himself, his eyes looking around the room. "Master?" he called out, in a sing-song tone.
[[ I have been watching Kuroshitsuji. >;D ]] ~ Silvia was outside, playing in the small spring that ran through the light woods. She enjoyed dancing in it, and forgot her worries. When she came to, she stopped and squealed. "THE BALL!" she yelled, and quickly grabbed her shoes. Then, she ran to the castle, and burst into the back entrance, where the maids and servants entered and left, then slid across the marble floor, her feet still wet. Waving to all the people she passed, she finally reached the back stairs and climbed up, ignoring people's stares. "I can't be late!" she yelled, and finally reached her room. When inside, she grabbed her forest green ball gown and her yellow-green stockings. The dress came just above her knees, and it had full sleeves. It was a deep green, but not dark, and had lace lining it, all around. It was slightly Lolita-ish, and when she tried it on, she squealed and yelled, "So cute!" Putting it on her second time, she squealed again, and struggled to get her stockings on. Her tongue sticking out, her face twisted into an eager expression, she finally accomplished the wrath of the girly stockings. Grinning happily to herself, she slipped on simple dark green flats, and brushed her hair out. She quickly braided it to the side, and rushed out of her room, running down the hall, to the stairs that lead to the ball. She smiled and slowly made her way down, watching everyone watch her, and compliment how mature she looked. These comments made her laugh, because she knew she wasn't mature. She was outgoing, and quite frankly free-spirited. She loved being outside, and she thought love was a myth ... Because it was. |
"Hello Alice. Would you like a drink," She asked offering a drink to the younger princess. She liked alice because she didn't act royal. Her older sister didn't either but she just liked Alice better because she was the same age and got along better. "Are you enjoying the ball," Natelie asked Alice. Her drink tray was almost empty. Soon she would have to go back to the kitchen and get more drinks. She watched the couples dancing on the dance floor. It was kind of boring being a servant to the royal family.

"Please don't call me that Natelie, I am the same as you. No different." She said, frowning a little. Being royal always seemed to trouble her. "No thank you.. If I get thirsty I will get my own drink. As should my family.." She mumbled, glaring in the direction of her parents. "Be sure to have a little fun tonight Natelie, for life can come and go very quickly." She said softly. She knew that she had been ordered to serve.. but Scarlett had a say didn't she? "You can be off duty tonight, and if anyone comes and tells you different just tell them to come talk with me." She smiled, looking around the room.
The thought of dancing with one of the men here annoyed her since every male there only wanted her money, not her. They just wanted to be the King of Faeries. Not just her husband. She sighed one of her sad sighs and looked to the floor. |
Alice heard the voice and said "I was hoping that nobody would reconize me" she turned to see Natelie and smiled saying "Oh, it's you thank god". She sighed and said "A ball is a ball nothing ever happens at them so it is alright' she paused "How are you enjoying it anybody been rude to you, I can take care of them if they are" she smiled. She noticed Silvia come down the stairs and smiled shaking her head and said "Why do they always come down the stairs then everbody knows that it is them and it ruins the affect of the mask", she lookd back at Natelie and said "That is why I came throught the doors". She smiled and then said "I just hope this one doesn't last to long I just want to get out of here", she was glad that she didn't act like a princess because she liked being herself and being a princess just wasn't her. She picked up and glass and said "Thanks" she took a silp and waited for Natelie to answer.

"Thank you Scarlett," Natelie said relieved at what she said. Natelie sat her tray down on a table. "Yes. It is a little crowded in here it would be nice to get out," she said. She put on her red mask with orange trim over her stormy greyish-blue eyes. She was happy that she wuld be able to mingle now. She had never seen the ballroom this crowded even when they normally had balls. "It is a little more crowded than the last ball was if you ask me," Natelie said.

Gavin waited outside of the kingdom for his brother and all of the other elves that were going to catch up, he had on a black suit with a white shirt and a dark purple tie on and he was holding his black mask in his hand. He was standing in the shadows so that if anybody walked by they would hopefully not see him, he leaned against the trunck of the tree and looked up at the sky and though to himslef'crashing this party will be fun'. He heard somebody comming and he ducked further in to the shadows seeing that it was and elf on patrol, he thought to himself again 'Robin better hurry up or we will be late'. He looked out at the lake and saw the faeries castle in the distance and saw that the party had already started, he sighed and continued to wait for his brother. It was getting dark and he looked back at the castle and thought 'this party has to be worth it'.

Clara wandered around her palace with a bored expression on her face. The fairies were throwing some sort of party and she knew her kingdom of elves had better not ever think of invading. Her husband was nice enough to the elves she supposed. Personally Clara did not mind the fairies. When she was a kid she snuck off often and played with a fairy friend of hers. She loved her friend but when her parents found out. They killed the boy and she was threatened with banishment if it ever happened again. She had only been married to her husband for about a week now and she did like him a lot. Some of his choices did not please her but she would never contradict him. Everyones husband makes bad choices at any given times and every couple disagrees on certain things. It was not her place to do such a thing. She sighed. Sometimes being queen was rather boring. When she was young she used to run off outside the city but now she could not leave the city unless she snuck out.
That was a thought. Her eyes brightened and she smiled. Sneak out and have a little fun on her own. She knew it was probably not a good choice but it would be rather fun. She wondered where her husband was anyways? He usually came to her to check how her day was going right around this time. Then he would tell her what she had to do for the day. It usually involved checking orphanages and hospitals to make sure that the city was thriving as it should be. It would at least give her something to do. (If this post seemed to controling of the king lemme know katie and I can change it. Its just you never posted with him so I was trying to make my post long enough lol.) |
Scarlett nodded. "I'm pretty sure mother invited at least thirty or forty men just for me to talk too." She said, slightly disgusted. "But if you see any that appeal to you then feel free to mingle with whoever." She said, her teal eyes glancing around the room. There was no one that caught her eyes, no one that stood out amongst the snobs that usually came here. "I wish I could've snuck in the front instead of making my entrance down the stairs.. but since the parties for my birthday I was being watched like a hawk by my parents.." She said, running her slender hand threw her hair.
She looked at her sister and then at then at Natelie. "You both look very pretty. I hope you both enjoy tonight. " She said, her eyes glancing at her other younger sister that was coming downstairs. If only she could be next in line for the throne so maybe Scarlett could find a real chance at love instead of a man wanting her families riches. ((Oh and Taliha, the Queen and king have no clue about the elves going to the party. And Ace isn't a mean husband >.< he wouldn't have his wife do anything for him.. xD And the kings and queens cant sneak to the party because their too noticable.)) Ace made his way down a long hallway in their kingdom. Both their sons had said something about going somewhere tonight so of course he had no worries about them. He looked around for his wife, sighing slightly when he wasn't able to find her. He looked out the large window in the hallway and stared at the Faerie kingdom in the distance where you could see that they were having a party by all their decorations. He knew it must've been their eldest daughters eighteenth birthday. He shook his head and continued down the hall. "Clara?" He asked, calling down the hallway. He was wearing a black suit as usual with a blue shirt underneath and a black tie. He ran a hand threw his black hair and sighed. |
Rylee knocked on the younger blue-haired Elven Prince's door with an gloved hand. "Master? Gavin?" He knocked again, two times. "Gavin, are you in there? I'm going to come in at the count of three. One...two...three." Opening the ornate door, he arched his slim blonde eyebrows. He wasn't in the room, and was probably sneaking off to crash the faerie's ball tonight. Rylee didn't really mind the faeries that much, since both faeries and elves were very similar. Rylee had been Gavin's servant for so long he didn't even remember when, and they were more like close friends or brothers than servants. It was funny though, how Rylee always looked skinnier and younger than Gavin even though he was a year older.
Walking face-paced down the corridor, he came to a stop at the older prince, Robin's room. He saw that Reithar, the other Elven Servant, was inside, so stopped to chat. "Is he in there? If not, then they've already gone to crash the ball...probably. I'm going with them, by the way. King's orders, and you're coming with me." [xD Haha Kuroshitsuji...it does get stuck in the mind. And sorry for the bloody picture of Rylee (Len from Vocaloid) there wasn't a single picture of him with open eyes or without Rin in a servant costume except for this one xD] |
(ok i edited it. You wont have to change your post. I just took out a few phrases and inserted new ones to replace them. See if that is better. I didnt mean he was a mean husband but he does have to make sure the queen has her assignments for the day. Any kingdom has to be run by the king and queen and they are in charge of keeping things going smoothly. Just as the king must speak to the people well the queen has to be in charge of stuff like civil service I guess you would say. lol see if its better now.)
Hearing her name being called Clara ran towards the sound. She smiled at her husband. She slowed to a walk as she approached him and gave him a hug. "What have you been doing today my dear?" She stared at him a moment trying to decipher his mood. He seemed to be in a well enought mood and she figured there was nothing bothering him. Running a kingdom was rather hard on any person and she had only been here a week but she knew that it can cause him to get upset if something goes wrong. Not that he ever took anything out on her but it was rather nice when he was in a good mood and everything was going smoothly. "I was thinking about taking a walk through the garden. Were you interested in joining me?" |
Alice smiled "Thanks sis you look great too", she looked around the room and said "You know he could be here tonight, you know the one you will fall in love with you never know". She smiled at Scarlett's comment about the front door and said "Well thats what I did and I can asure you not a lot of attention so far", she felt kind of sad about Scarlett having to always be the more responsable one. She then said "Oh and don't tell mom that I destroyed the dress" she paused "Oh and have a good night to it is your birthday after all" she smiled and then looked at Natelie and said "Your mask suits you". She glanced over at the door hoping that she would be able to leave soon without her parents noticing, she looked back at Scarlett and smiled again. She looked around the room again and smiled thinking that it was getting closer to ending every second counted in her mind.

Ace gave her a hug, kissing the side of her face. "Sure.. a walk in the garden would be nice." He said, giving a small smile and putting out an arm for her. He was a little on the edge thanks to the Faeries and their party. "Oh yeah, the boys said they would be going out tonight. Probably to the local tavern." He said, rolling his eyes slightly. "But I sent a few servants with them to make sure their activities didn't involve those idiotic Faeries.." He mumbled, looking over at his wife.
She laughed. "Dear sister, you know that no man here is looking to love me. Only our families money." She said with a small frown. "But I do hope you enjoy yourself and be lucky that your not of age for the throne." She said, her hand going to her neck and running over her silver locket. She felt someone tap on her shoulder to dance but brushed him off. "I don't feel well.. i'd rather not get someone so handsome sick." She said, lying to him so he'd go away with a smile on his face. She bit her lip and patted down the sides of her dress. "Have either of you seen the royal pains?" She asked, meaning the king and queen. |
"Are you certain that the servants will be able to stop them. you know the boys will not miss out on any opportunity to mess with the fairies. You know how boys are. I may only be a stepmother to them but I know enough about them to know they tend to misbehave when given an opportunity. Why do we carry on with this war anyways? It is a waste of time and energy. The fairies have done nothing to hurt us."
She walked down the hallway with one arm looped in his as she led the way slowely to the garden. It was a lovely night and standing out in the breeze might releave her of her slight claustrophobia of being stuck inside the palace. She made it to the entrance to the garden. She stared up at the bright moon and smiled. It was indeed a lovely night. |
Gavin looked back at the tree and sighed his brother was going to make them late, he walked back into the castle and avoided as many people as he could. He was walking down one of the halls when he heard his parents talking he looked around the corner and saw them, her quitly walked across the hall into another hall and into his brother's room. He saw the two servants and said "Where is he I have been waiting for him and he never showed", he looked around the room and waited for them to reply. He stepped out into the hall and saw that his parents were heading towards the garden and then stepped into the room again saying "We will have to find him soon". He looked around the room again and then looked at the two again.

Ace shook his head lightly. "My sons know their place. They wouldn't dare go over there. And how can you say they have done nothing to us? A few Faeries came from the island a few weeks ago and killed one of the guards who tried to stop them." He left out that the guard had killed one of the faeries before they killed him. "And they think their so much better then us.." He said, gritting his teeth. His emotions softened when he noticed her feel so relaxed outside. "You know you can tell me anything that bothers you.. I know you might not love me because of the circumstances of our marriage.. but I do love you and care for you." He said, frowning slightly. He didn't think she wanted to marry him but after his darling wife died Clara was the only girl that brought him happiness again.

" believe they are by the stairs," Natelie said. She had seen them there when Scarlett had come down. She didn't know if they were still there. "They may still be there but i don't know if they are still there. If they aren't then they probably are by the door," she said. She knew if the king and queen ran into Scarlett, they would urge her to dance with one of the men. She knew that was the last thing Scarlett wanted to do.

"You've got to be kidding me..." Rylee stared at the empty room that belonged to the Elvin Prince. So, Robin was nowhere to be found, and the Faerie ball had started quite a while ago. If they even got to go, they were going to be late. Gavin was surely pissed by now. Spotting a familiar blue-headed prince from the corner of his eyes, Rylee whipped his head around so that he could see clearly, and his soft blonde hair fell into his eyes. "Gavin! Didn't you leave already, what are you doing back here?" Seeing the Young Prince glance at his older brother's room every so often, Rylee immediately understood. "...You can't find him either, Master, can you?" Sighing, he shook his head and cracked his neck, leaning against the wall.

Alice smiled and said "There is always one you just have to find them" she looked around the room and then thought to herself 'if only there was something interesting were to happen'. She smiled when Scarlett mentioned the age for the throne and said "It is a good thing I guess but only becasue I don't like a lot of attention and this seems like to much attention". She watched at Scarlett told the man she wasn't feeling good and then said "Always thinking of others" she giggled and little then said "Maybe if you tell mom nad dad that they will buy it and say you can leave early". Alice smiled when Natielie answered the question about thier parents thinking she hadn't seen them all night and was going to leave it that way. She looked around the room again and then smiled looking back at Scarlett.
