Worst Birthday Present EVER?
 

My birthday is tomorrow and I was wondering what is the worst birthday present you have ever received, how old were you, and who gave it to you?

For me it has to be my first job. For my 14th birthday present my parents gave me a job. Yep. I was told yesterday that I will be starting work ON MY BIRTHDAY! Yay for me! LOL! Just Kidding! I'm actually excited for working for my dad's business. Running a tanning salon...and when I'm on break I am working on skipping from eighth grade to tenth grade. This birthday is going to ROCK I can just tell! C:

Worst gift is easy... a bottle of used nail polish from my step dads parents. :no: I forgot to add that it was for my 16th birthday. Also, happy early birthday!

I don't think I've had a worse gift. But, I had the worst birthday ever. It was when I turned 22 nobody Wished me a happy birthday. Not even my bf at the time :( so a day passed by and they remembered. And no there was no surprise party or nothing like that. But best birthday was when I turned 30 was just awesome :D

Worst gifts for me (and please, don't freak out- I'm not going to explain the long story of hypocrisy of this gift) were a Bible from my dad (again, I'm not explaining the hypocrisy of this gift here) when I was 16 and my first job on my 18th birthday (:P I kid about the last one, too). xD I technically had already been a staff where I work now, but they could not officially hire me until I was 18. :) I had mixed feelings about the job, but all in all, it was sorta neat.

My worst birthday present was for my 16th birthday, I got a broken camera... oh and it was also my Christmas present too.

One of my Aunts is an expert at giving bad gifts.

In the past she's given me :
A Crossword Puzzle book - when I opened it, half of them were already completed! lol
A Christmas Cracker (for my birthday) and inside it were Boxer shorts with snowmen on that were for a 5 year old - I was 15!
A Glass. Yes, a drinking glass. Not a special fancy one. Just a regular glass that didn't even look new o_0
A Birthday book for someone born in 1967 with all the facts about the year they were born - I was born in 86.
Thankfully she's stopped gifting me anything now :)

I never really cared about the presents that much on my birthday, though, unless there was something specific that I wanted from my parents, which they usually got for me if it wasn't anything too expensive or unrealistic. I was more interested in getting to have parties and invite friends from school over and all of that.

Used Nail polish? Wow! That is new...never heard of that before. LOL. And Thank you!

Worst gift was this ugly sweater my aunt gave me. My best "gift" was easily my kitty. I had just lost my cat and my mom thought it was a good idea to let me go look at kittens. A few days later my kitty came home.. I swear she picked me. She's such a mommy's girl.

Parties are the best about birthdays! Somethimes I like spending it with my friends then with my family because my friends actully know what I like! XD

Yeah. My birthday is the day before Christmas. So I'm used to getting shafted for gifts, but a broken camera as a shared x-mas/birthday gift was by far the worst I've gotten. Although I do have one grandmother that gets me reject As-seen-on TV products that I would never use. like a Cigarette purse thing. I don't smoke...

I remember when I was little I would always say it would be great to have my birthday on Christmas or on a major holiday. But then I realised you would only get half of the gifts and about half of the people would remember your birthday. Do you usually celebrate your birthday on Christmas Day?

Yeah, she was defiantly supposed to be my cat. She never lets me out of her sight and screams whenever I do leave the house. XD She's so spoiled rotten but I love her anyway. XD

My Worst birthday present was actually a few years ago.
I do believe I was turning fourteen, I'm really not sure though what age I was.
My parents are actually dead now, but that year I had a miserable birthday in general.
I didn't get any presents but I also didn't want any.
We were really poor and I didn't care for material things.
The issue was I wanted one gosh darn happy day for myself.
My parent person though, decided the night before to do a bunch of drugs which caused her to have a seizure. It lasted all through the next day making her whine and act like a four year old and tell me how much she hated me and such.
Wow, what a wonderful birthday present that was.
So yeahs, worst gift ever would be that.

I don't know why I said day before. I was born on the 26th, So I think I meant that Christmas is the day before my birthday. But I'm happy to say that I have never celebrated my birthday on Christmas. But I hardly ever got parties when I was young.
@Aerie, WOW that Sucks. You take the worst birthday cake on that. I really hope things are better now, no one deserves that sort of birthday... I'm so sorry.

I never had a 'bad' birthday present. I don't think I can narrow down which present was my worst. But compared to the ones I've read here, dangggg: used nail polish? a broken camera? a family member whining? No acknowledgments? D:

Although my first birthday present was my younger brother. I wouldn't say it was my worst (although I joke about it) it was rather strange that as a 1-year-old, my mother was in the hospital, giving birth to my brother xD

It wasn't so much the Bible that pissed me off, but the person who gave me the Bible.
It was like a slap in the face. >__>

But I do appreciate the gift now, and still own that Bible. It's actually a few feet away from where I'm sitting now. I can see it. :)

I would be eternally grateful if I didn't have a job and someone gave me a one.

Hmm let me think...the worst birthday present that I ever got.
Probally would have to be on my 13th birthday I beleive.
My uncle bought me this video game intended for my brother.
Which was kinda just disappointing, then he decided to get drunk.
Also he brought over his "Girlfriend" at the time now its his "Wife"
Who is just evil, so she just kinda rained on my parade.
But also in general I think the worst thing that could happen on a birthday is no one saying "Happy Birthday"
I had that happen a few times to me , which totally sucked, then a few days later they remembered and it just wasnt the same.

Been there. My 18th birthday happened to fall just before the last day of high school in my senior year and right when everyone was freaking about graduation. No happy birthdays for me. I got a car for my b-day present and that was supposed to be sufficient enough happy birthday from my parents. (It was. But I still don't remember hearing happy birthday from them.) None of my friends told me happy b-day either. Not even my best friend for all four years of high school. Apparently she hasn't yet managed to get the date into her head, lol. Still. Even. >.> Ah well. I do keep her around for a reason.

I can't really complain about bad presents. I'm an only child and my parents get me whatever I want within reason because they don't have to worry about supporting any other kids. I did get this knock-off coach purse that is...okay...but it's too huge and the person who gave it to me knows I don't really use purses. It's in between a carry on bag and an oversized purse. I have no clue what to do with it, lol.

I usually get nice things for my birthday, I have had a really bad birthday though, it was my 16th birthday and I was throwing a party and none of my really close friends came just "drifters" lol, anyway, some kid got his butt kicked by my boyfriend's sister and everyone went home by 8. That birthday was a mess. ) :

I am Christian and I don't take offence C: And that is so damn rude! They should have respected you! That is just effed up! If they were trying to convert you they couldn't even have the respect to picka diferent day and a different present! sad. :/

I generally don't get bad birthday presents, since family gives me money and friends give me cute stuff that I like, like a group picture of all of us framed. ^^ But my last birthday sucked in general. It started out so nice, my ex boyfriend threw me a surprise birthday party with all my friends, and when I arrived I was so happy! See, that was the best present ever, all I wanted was to spend that day with my friends, you know? But after, he gave me his little "present": "So listen, I'm engaged to be married..."

Needless to say, I ain't celebrating my birthday this year.
