I don't like my work place right now either, trying to find a new job that has a slower pace of work because I work at McDonald's which is the military of fast food. : / Managers get really snippy with crew, crew get snippy with crew, everyone just seems angry all the time. Not a very happy place to work, especially since WE are suppose to be serving up smiles, yeah right.
I got written up for being 3 minutes late off of my break. My break is like, 10 minutes long. Apparently they don't have to give you a break in the first place but it is their corporate policy so whatever. : P |
My first few jobs were being a dishy at a couple different restaurants and at every one of them, I was treated like dirt.
Right now I'm a freelancer graphic designer and am working in a office. It's very relaxing work and I'm treated quite well and I love it. |
Muskrat, I worked at McDonalds too! for two whole years.
Everyone on the staff was pretty nice, although there was a lot of relationship drama and a lot of the kids knew eachother from highschool. I liked working there overall. Yes the pay was terrible and the managers bribed us with free food if we opted to work though our unpaid 15 minute break, but it wasn't too bad. And the staff christmas parties were amazing. :D |

Crew I don't have a problem with but I tend to be the one yelling things across the store even though I do tell people that I don't mean to yell at them if I seem like I'm yelling. I try to keep everything as positive as possible because it is not an easy environment to work in and I think that sometimes crew and managers tend to forget to keep things positive. Our store is like a big family for the most part though. Sure, there's drama with a few crew members but you get that in any work place. I do have a problem with organization and have had to talk to my store manager about the store being such a mess. Thankfully she let me fix a few things up so the store isn't as bad as it was. She doesn't seem to understand that organization saves the store money and the employees time if everything is easy to find and right where you can see it. My last job however, I had to work with an ex that for whatever reason pretty much hated me even though I should be the one hating her but I don't. That was pretty rough because she'd try to get me in trouble all the time even though I was her boss. It was rather annoying to say the least. |
What exactly is it that you do? And what are the issues that you are having? I think that I have had problems with the majority of places I worked when I was younger. But now, if it's really such a problem, I just leave for a while.

I just started working (actually I'm still in training) and I feel so young!! I'm ten years younger than anyone else there (I'm 18), and most of them are in their 40s and 50s!! I don't fit in whatsoever, cause they all sit and talk about their kids at lunch break, and i feel misplaced.. Kinda wondering why they hired me in the first place, when I so obviously am young and inexperienced in comparison to everyone else.. >_> and the work is really hard, and comes with A LOT of responsibility.. It just doesn't make sense why I'm even there.
I was thinking about quitting, but i really for once want to complete something I've started.. and the pays amazing (at least for anything any 18 year old could earn XD) |
