Mordecai kissed her back. "Yes, I realize that, My Lady. "he said.

" Good." Finx smiled " Maybe some day you'll make an honorable woman out of me." she chuckled then looked like someone had slapped her " my mom and brother are dead." she started crying.

Mordecai held her close. "Are you sure?" he asked her. Normally, there were fall-back plans for this sort of thing.

" The human ones can't be saved." Finx buried her head into his chest. The woman who had raised her since her rebirth was gone along with the boy who had become her brother.

"I could grab them before fernir kills them...."

" no its to late and humans can't stand the trip here." Finx sobbed.

Mordecai held her close.

FInx cried herself out in his arms drifting off.

mordecai laid her down, and left the house, going to have a look around. He then decided to claim a small valley as his own, and started writing weird symbols in the earth.

" What are you doing?" Pen asked watching him " Shouldn't you be with sister?"

"She's asleep. Don't want to disturb her." He said, holding his hands up. You watch an Ancient skeleton appear. It was Nito, the first being to ever have died.

" Stop that" Pen slapped his hands terrified

"What? I've been friends with Nito since I was a kid." He said, pointing to the Skeleton.
since it lacked proper vocal capabilities, it only bowed. |
" But that's not right." Pen looked like she was going to be sick " dead people belong in the earth."

"He's the first of the dead. He's stuck between the worlds of living and dead." He said.

Pen still looked sick " Well you shouldn't dig up skeletons."

"He was never buried." He said.
|
" You still shouldn't wake people like that." Pen shyed away from the skeleton.

"He wasn't asleep either. Nito is technically the king of the dead. Hades rules the underworld, but the dead answer to Nito."he said.
the skeleton offered a Drake Fire flower, which only ever grew in the underworld. |
Pen took the flower her weakness being plants. "It's so pretty."

The Skeleton cracked its jaw, using a strange form of magic to speak. "It is......a Drake Flower. It grows, in the farthest reaches of the Underworld.....Its petals can save someone from the brink of death. "he said.

Pen frowned " Will it live by itself or do I need to plant it? What about watering? Sunlight?"

"It is meant to grow in Dead earth...in the dark.....It is a symbol......even in the darkest hour.....there is hope. "he said.

Pen nodded " I'll take care of it." she hurried off looking happy.
