Toasty laid on the plate after hitting the tanning bed. Now, he was a nice golden colour and slightly crispy. "Man, this is the life," he said to no one in particular. The grapes never replied back to him even when he did try talking to them. Neither did the plastic apples or the dish cloth across the kitchen.

Bacon Jr looked around to make sure the coat was clear before he climbed out from under the stove and stretched his aching strips. "Huh?" He looked around hearing the voice and smiled as he gave a yell. "Hello there!" He hurried to meet the piece of toast. He had never been out from under the stove before.

After hearing voice he'd never heard before, Toasty stood up and walked over to the end of the counter. By the stove, was a piece of bacon. "Greetings, sir. Who may you be?" He didn't remember there being a piece of bacon within the kitchen. How could he have missed that?
