"I attend art classes during my free time." Ric said to him in a flat voice as he continued to draw, adding mo0re details, the rabbit had stopped to watch them a bit to see what they were going to do before he made his way slowly towards the water. "Never said that you had to call me that. Just asking why you stopped calling me that and if you go and try to save that bunny your going to be the lake monsters lunch." he said to him as he didn't miss a beat as he continued to draw, meaning it when he said that the lake monster was going to eat him instead.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." he muttered. It hadn't been really more than a thought. It was rather odd how Ric knew that. Maybe he saw more than one alternate possibility. It wasn't a very pleasant thought. To be its lunch. The rabbit could just be its lunch."Well, you called me by my first name, so I figured I'd return the favor." he explained.

"Your not that stupid to play stupid." Ric said a little harshly to him before taking a deep breath to calm down, the rabbit had finally reached the water and started to drink out of it, the lake monster promptly reached out of the water and snatched it into it, the bunny putting up a fight but was drowned anyways and the tentacles didn't help it much either. "I have never called anyone by their last name that i can remember."

Shadow raised an eyebrow. That was a bit rare for Ric to lose his cool. About what, he wasn't sure. Maybe it was just because of earlier. "I suppose." he muttered, shaking his head. He watched as the giant squid take the rabbit, almost sighing. "Well.. You also rarely call me Shadow." Mostly it was Sha or some other form of his name. Never his full first name.

"You hate when i call you anything else." Ric said to him, turning the page to start drawing a bird, mainly because he needed something to do so he could stay calm, so that he wouldn't have to look at Shadow. If he had too he would call him by his last name but that would show how much distance he was putting between them, basically saying that there was no hope for them.

Shadow nodded slightly. While he was right, for some reason it bothered him. "Normally I would agree.." he said, shrugging. He watched the other male draw a bird. "Anyways, since when did you ever care about what I hate?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "That's what was interesting about you."

"Then agree now." Ric said to him as he continued to to draw the bird, working on the wing, which was more difficult and intricate than any other wing on any other bird. "I don't care about what you hate, never have and i don't care if that is what is interesting about me." he said to him as he moved to working on the tail, adding details to it as he tried hard not to look up at Shadow.

Shadow rolled his eyes. "Well, that'd be lying if I agreed. For some odd reason it feels strange when you don't call me by that nickname." he muttered. "You probably already know all of this." Shrugging he sighed. "Whatever. I don't even know why exactly I came to talk to you. I'll leave you alone." It was obvious that Ric wasn't going to do much besides draw. And that he wanted to be left alone.

"Well you should agree.....odd or not i won't be calling you that for a while....." Ric said to him as he sighed slightly and finally looked up from his drawing and finally looked at Shadow. "Yes i know all this already but your hear because you want to actually tell me your self and try to make things better between us." he said to him as he tried hard not let his emotions leak out or try and hurt him for what he had found out from Travis. |

He raised an eyebrow before sighing. "I suppose I deserve that." he replied. He would've expected something worse. "Well, I am not sure how to do it. But yes.. You did probably figure it out. I slept with a few girls while you were sick. Only because you weren't there, and honestly... We weren't Really together. I had needs, so I took care of them. It's how I am.. Travis also forbid me from seeing you." he stated bluntly, glancing down. For some reason, he felt a very tiny tinge of guilt. |

"A few? five a day is a few?" Ric said to him, it was clearly a skeptical look as he closed his sketchbook and set it a side and fully faced Shadow. "Yea, good thing we aren't really together or else you wouldn't be here right now." he said to him as he ran a hand through his blonde hair before he made sure the bandage was still in place over his nose. |

"It wasn't five a day." he protested, making a small face. "It was like, one every other day or less." he explained. "Leave it to Travis to mess it up." he muttered, rolling his eyes. Of course he would exaggerate. Now while he did have needs, he wasn't a nymphomaniac. He could stand a few days without sex. "True I guess.. What's up with your nose?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. |

"What reason would Travis have for lying to me?" Ric asked him as he narrowed his eyes slightly at him, getting defensive of his friend since he trusted them, then again the only time people could get away with anything when they know him is when he is sick, so you could say that, that is why he was waiting for Shadow to ask about why he didn't know this already. "Nothing....just a fashion statement." he said to him, he was so clearly lying about as he made sure that it was still on his nose. |
"Because he hates me and wants me to drop dead." Shadow said, smirking at Ric. It wasn't the most hidden thing in the world. And quite obvious if anyone paid any attention. "Why don't you know this already?" he asked, frowning. "Normally you would be right on top of this or something." He narrowed his eyes. "Lies. What is it?" He was rather tempted to just rip the bandage off to see what it was. Probably just some form of cut or something.

".....because when i am sick i stop seeing things....." Ric mumbled to him as he turned his head away, not wanting to see the look on Shadow's face when he realized that when he is sick that he sees nothing and that when he is back to normal that he doubts what had happen during those two weeks. "Nothing.....don't worry about it." he mumbled as he made sure that the bandage was firmly on his nose.

Shadow stared at him in slight disbelief. "Oh. Well.. That would explain it." he said, wondering what else he could say to that. Now he could see why Travis had been exceptionally vicious to him the past two weeks. "You're better now though, right?" Giving a small look at the bandage, he quickly pointed his wand and thought a spell to take the thing off. Thank goodness some lessons were paying off. He had the grasp on voiceless spells. Or at least the most basic ones. "Who said I was worrying? I am just curious."

"Explain what?" Ric asked him as he gave him a curious look trying to figure out what he meant by it, he thought about it but he was about to answer his question taken by surprise when the bandage was gone, which revealed a very distinguished mark across his nose. It was a small moon with a an eye behind it, it was the mark of the seers in his family and it only showed up on him after he was sick. "You ass!!" he called him as he quickly covered his nose, digging in his pocket for another bandage.

"Why Travis was so vicious while you were sick.." he explained. His eyes widened in surprise as he saw the mark. That was completely different. For some reason he had expected something else. Maybe some form of injury. Not a mark like that. Replacing the bandage with another spell, he gave a somewhat sheepish face. "I'm sorry.. I didn't think it'd be anything like that. What's so bad with that?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Travis....it is the only time he can do what he wants and get away with it...." Ric said to him as he finally pulled the bandage out his pocket and was about to put it on his nose before Shadow had put it back on his nose for him. "It is a mark of the seerer......it isn't good for me to allow people to see it. If they did see it well it wouldn't be a good thing and my family will find me." he said to Shadow as he tuck the other bandage into his pocket and made sure the one on his nose is on tightly.

Shadow looked at him curiously. "So, is it a bad thing that I saw it?" he asked, suddenly concerned. He hadn't meant to cause any real trouble for the boy. It would be really bad and Rics friends would probably curse him. "Yeah, he really took advantage of you not being able to see what he would do."
Travis sneezed a few times before shaking his head, frowning. "I think someone's talking about me." he muttered to Lavi. They had more or less just been chatting. And he had brought him the last weeks homework along with his notes. Studying. |
"Yea....now my family can find me.....no one has seen it not even lavi or travis." Ric said to him as he looked away touching the bandage once more, looking around to see if anyone else had seen the marking on his nose or if family was watching him, he had left his family once because of what he is and he wasn't going to go back.
"Bless you..." Lavi said as he gave a yawn, thinking about what travis said, he was tired and wanted to get some rest at the moment. "Maybe it is a good things they are saying about you." he said to him as he gave a smile. |
"Oh. I'm sorry." he said, frowning. He had thought that his parents let him come to this school. Apparently that was not the case. "I could forget about it. Would that help?" He was worried that he had done something really bad. This was proving to be a very odd day for him. Maybe something in the food. Or something like that. Nobody else had seemed to pay attention to him or Ric, so they were safe from others seeing the marking. It was odd how the boys friends didn't even see the thing. Considering Lavi had always been with him.
"Thanks." he said, smiling. Somehow he wasn't so sure about it. "And maybe, who knows. Now, get some sleep and we shall do this later." he assured his friend as he packed up some of the papers. |
"Nah it is done and over with now so stop talking about it before i am found out by my family." Ric said as he shot Shadow a look that would make anyone go silent, okay so it was a secret about him that no one knew about, yea his family traveled around a lot but there was a dark side to his family that had always tried to keep tabs on him until he disappeared off the map so that he didn't have to be a part of what they were.
"You going to stay here?" LAvi said to him as he smiled, it was clear that he was getting a little bit better since the skin on his face wasn't as sunken in as it had been the first time he was admit into the hospital wing but since it was taking so longer he was going to be in the place a bit longer. |
He of course, shut up. Not that he wanted to but just because the look sort of freaked him out slightly. "Okay then." he muttered. Shrugging, he pulled out his homework again to try and finish some of it up. He had already come to say sorry, and did so. Now he wasn't so sure what to do.
"Course I am." he said with a light smile. "I'll be here when you wake up." Travis finished packing up the supplies and fluffed Lavis pillow a little before sitting down again. It was a relief to see his friend looking better already. He just hoped that he would be better by the end of the weeks that followed. They would be having a small Hogsmead visit by the end of the month, and while they could go on their own time.. It was better when they didn't have to hide from others. |
"Look i am not trying to make you feel bad or anything but it isn't something that we should be talking about." Ric said to him as he sighed slightly and took the book from him as he started to read it, basically letting him know that he will help him as much as he could.
"Good........i hate being here alone....." LAvi whispered as he laid as close to the side of the bed that Travis was at as he reached a hand out and held onto Travis's hand. "night..." he mumbled as he cuddled into his bed and went to sleep even more. |
