Misaki thought about it. Yeah, he remembered that day. It was hard to forget. But the brunette didn't the fact that he was crying was a good reason to love somebody. "How could you possibly be over Takahiro so quickly?" he asked, needing to know.
Usami let out a sigh as he looked at the brunette in front of him. "I was over him as soon as he told me that he had a fiancée. I knew for a while, though, that he had no feelings for me. It was rather foolish if you think about it. Either way, as soon as I saw you crying about this for me, something that I wasn't willing to do, I fell in love with you. I was completely taken by you. For now and forever," said Usami as he let out another sigh. What else did he have, other than the truth.
Misaki thought about that. If it was true, then it was nice to hear. "Tthat doesn't change the fact that we're both guys. No matter how you look at it, its weird." he said. The brunette wasn't into guys. He knew that for a fact. So, naturally, there was no way he could be with Usagi.
Usami sighed again as he looked at the brunette. Just because things were always black and white with Misaki, didn't mean that it was the same for Usami. "Does gender really matter when people are in love," asked Usami. Then it hit him like a bolt of lighting. Did Misaki even love him, or even return his feelings? He had to ask, he had to know. "Misaki, do you even love me or return at least some of my feelings?"
Misaki was surprised by the question. Did he? No, more likely not. The brunette was positive that he didn't like guys. But then agian, he's also never really been into girls either. Or dating for that matter. "I-I don't know... Maybe?" he found himself saying. Though he wasn't sure why he would.
Usami smiled a little bit as he heard the brunette stutter a little bit, but it was wiped away when he thought that he was getting enjoyment out of watching Misaki struggle with trying to come up with an answer. "I see," said Usami as he went back to the table and sat there. "I don't want to force you or anything, but can I ask why you've never tried dating? What is your ideal date?" He hadn't meant to say the last part of it, but if he could show Misaki a good time then maybe that would sway his decision. He knew that he was acting selfishly, but he needed to know.
"I don't know why I've never tried dating. Its kinda hard to do when nobody will talk to you." Misaki stated. As for his ideal date? He had to think about that for a moment. "I guess my ideal date would be dinner and a movie. Mabye go out on a trip somewhere." the brunette eventually said. "Why do you want to know?" he asked, a bit curious.
Usami thought a moment and then nodded at the brunette. "I was wondering because I was wondering what you would want to do. Do you want to go out with me to a dinner and a movie some night this week? Maybe sometime after school." asked Usami as he looked at the brunette. He wasn't going to bring up the fact about his lack of dating, it didn't make any sense. I mean he understood that people didn't approach him, meaning that it wasn't his fault, but he didn't understand why. Misaki was very attractive.
Misaki blushed lightly when he heard Usagi ask that. A part of him wanted to say no. But it really wasn't like he had anything else he needed to be doing. Sure, the brunette could get a job and start saving up for his own place. He would take a look for that tomorrow. "S-Sure." he found himself saying, stuttering slightly.
Usami smiled as he heard the brunette say that he would love to go on a "date" with him. "I have a meeting later today with Aikawa-san so I need to go to the publishing company building later today." Usami began heading up the stairs so he could go and get changed into something more presentable. He was talking with his boss and his editor about an upcoming event where he would be getting presented some award or another. Something that was a complete bore for him was more like it, but he knew that it would skyrocket his book selling, and he knew that that would make his editor and publisher happy.
Misaki nodded. "That's fine. We could go tomorrow." the brunette said. Plus, that would give him more time to mentally prepare for the upcoming 'date.' It was already hard enough for him to deal with. "I should get started on my homework.." he muttered, mainly to himself. He grabbed his bag before heading up to his room.
Once he was upstairs he quickly dressed in something that was more presentable. Coming back down the stairs Aikawa-san was already by the door waiting for him. She was dressed modestly in a simple dress. Walking over to him she looked at him and sighed as she went to go and fix his tie. Usami let out a sigh when he knew that she was doing this for him. "Stop treating me like a kid," thought Usami. As soon as his tie was done he went to the bottom of the stairs and said,"Misaki, we are heading out now. Aikawa-san left you some chocolates. I will be back late tonight." With that being said Usami and Aikawa-san left the condo and went to the awaiting car.
Misaki called 'goodbye' when he heard Usagi say that he was leaving. He did his work quickly before going downstairs and sitting on the couch. He noticed the chocolates that Aikawa-san had brought and began eating them. Even if they did have alcohol in them. He ended up asleep on the couch, holding one of Usagi's shirts.
((Haha, I was wondering if you would catch on to that one. I was watching that episode last night, and went.. "hmmm I wonder"))
Usami grimaced as another group of girls came up to him crying and screaming that he was so hot and that they loved him. He didn't want them to love him, he wanted them to love his book writing. He loved one and only one person, and that person was Misaki. He went to get up from the table, but immediately stopped when he saw Aikawa-san give him a disapproving look. He hated this, utterly hated this. He wanted to be at home with Misaki. As the people in the room began to dwindle down his mind wandered to what Misaki was doing. |

Misaki had a strange dream. One that involved Usagi. That was probably because the older man's shirt was close to his face, the smell infiltrating his senses. The brunette didn't wake up though. He just rolled over so that he was facing the back of the couch. |
Usami let out a sigh, this time of relief, when all of the people were done fawning over him. He wasn't some piece of eye candy. Alright scratch that yes he was. Even though he pretended that he liked this kind of stuff, he really didn't. He wanted to return back to the safety and comfort of his condo with his soon to be lover. As the last group of people left the room Aikawa-san approached him praising him on a job well done. "I just want to go home," said Usami as he looked at Aikawa-san. She nodded, knowing that sending him home was going against her bosses wishes, but she cared more for Usami than she did for her boss. They looked out for one another. Leading him to the car they both got in, and soon he was in front of his condo door.
Opening the door he walked in as he was immediately assaulted with the smell of warm chocolate and a hint of alcohol. Walking over to the couch he noticed that there was an open box of chocolate, half of which was gone, Misaki passed out on the couch and his shirt on top of his face. Usami walked passed him, but then stopped to look at him. Shirt?! Usami let out a laugh as he removed the shirt from Misaki's face and then kissed the brunette's lips softly. |
Misaki didn't wake up when Usagi came home. He started waking when he heard the other laugh. And the brunette woke completely when Usagi kissed him. His face turned red and he backed away from him. "Usagi-san! Your back!" he exclaimed. He really wasn't expecting to fall asleep on the couch. He didn't even remember falling asleep. "What time is it?" he asked.
Usami backed away from the brunette when he felt the other male stir. He laughed out loud again as he saw the stunned reaction, and the redness, of the brunette's face. "It's about 10 o'clock right about now, but more importantly. What are you doing cuddling one of my shirts?" He really wanted to see Misaki's reaction and response to this particular question so he sat down on the couch that was across from the one that Misaki was laying on.
Misaki was a bit confused. He was doing what? "I don't remember doing that." he stated. The brunette was a bit surprised by the time. He had been expecting it to be much later then this. Yawning, he stood and rubbed his eyes. "Well.. Its getting late. I need to go to bed." he stated, moving past Usagi.
Usami looked at the brunette not really expecting that kind of reaction from him. He was expecting something at least a little more surprising, a little more "Misaki like." He watched as the other male went walking passed him, and he turned around as he grabbed the arm of the other male, thus spinning him around. "You have to be doing it on purpose. Curling up with my shirt like that." He leaned in closer as he inhaled the smell of his own cologne on the brunette and something was uniquely Misaki. Leaning down he caught the other male's lips in a searing kiss as he pushed him backwards and into the stairway railing.
Misaki definitely wasn't expecting to have Usagi suddenly grab him like that. Nor was he expecting to be spun around and pinned to the railing. But the brunette kinda expected the kiss. That's all the older man's been doing for the last few days. His hands automatically moved to Usagi's chest and tried to push him away. But his arms felt weak. So it wasn't very effective.
Usami felt the brunette try to push against him, but he shooed away the other male's hands. "Stop it," he said in a rather stern tone. "There has to be a reason as to why you curled up with my shirt. What is it?" He was becoming practically neurotic about this, but he had to know why the brunette was doing this.
"I wasn't curled up with it! I was... cold.. And that was the only thing that was close." Misaki stated. It wasn't true, but it wast the only thing he could think of. There was no way he was going to tell Usagi the actual truth. It was just embarrassing.
Usami listened to the brunette talking and threw back his head as he let out a bark of laughter. "You honestly want me to believe that?" asked Usami. "You can't be serious. You really are doing it on purpose." Bending forward he took Misaki and slung him over his shoulder as he made his way up the stairs. It was happening tonight. He was going to get to the bottom of this. One way or another.
Misaki really wasn't expecting to be picked up suddenly like that. "Usagi-san! Put me down!" he exclaimed, struggling. This was not a comfortable way to be carried, that was for sure. And the brunette wanted to be back on his feet. Once way or another.
