Oh Dat DeviantART.
I was trying to find a thread about deviantART but only found something about April Fools and a thesis, so I'm like, yeah, this one's official. But if I accidentally missed an actual thread, by all means say it. XD
Anyway, are you a deviant? If so, let us know: do you like the whole community feel? What art do you create? Basically, anything deviantART-related. (: I myself have been there for almost three years, but had to move accounts very recently. I mostly write and play with pixels, but my old account is filled with experiments and failures. I'm now using a more quiet account, as my first one got (regretably) "popular". And you? |
I don't think there's a dA thread here yet. :)
I am on deviantArt, and have been for more than 6 years since 2004. I never really saw the need to switch accounts. I don't really post as often as I used to. Personally, I am a bit meh about the community. DeviantArt has gotten so large that you would be lucky or have to be really good to get more than a handful of comments and even more difficult to get actual criticism on your work, as compared to 4 years ago where the community is more closely knit and more willing to comment and help you out on your works. Previously, I mostly create fanart. Although I still do, I mostly post more commissioned works from avatar sites. xD I was also a little reluctant to post art of my original characters on dA, hence the lack of them in my gallery. |
I was on dA for a while, but then my message box keeps exploding everyday so I slunk off and stopped going there. >_> I go back every once in a few months to clear out messages and find some new pretty pics, but that's about it. I have some pics (mostly fanart) in my gallery, but I rarely update...it takes too long for me to get each drawing done. |
I've been a deviant for about two years now. I originally signed up to see my girlfriend's mature art, that you can't see without an account
I have some stories up, and a stamp for Menewsha that I created. That's about it though. |
I have an account on dA, though, I switch accounts nearly every year. Right now, I don't feel a compulsion to switch, so that's pretty lucky. XD
coconut-berry on deviantART I don't really like the community, but I like a lot of the art I find on there, which is probably why I stay. If I could find a better art site with the same amount of good pictures, I'd probably move. I just get really tired of the bias towards popular deviants. |
I've been on deviantart for six years...although...that is with my old account...my new account which I actually use says I've been a member for four years.
I don't really get involved in the community on dA. Never have and probably never will. What I dislike is probably a bunch of people. Mostly the ones who just join to troll or steal others work and claim them as their own. And sometimes the admin won't get to them unless it is work done by a popular artist on dA. :/ As for what I do...a little bit of everything almost. XD TerrenaAnimula on deviantART is my dA...if you want to see the old one, I have it linked on my journal on there. Oh...and there actually is a thread for devianArt...however...it is for deviantArt links and it is a sticky in the Art Post. |
coconutberry: Storm-Artists is exactly like dA but it's a very close community, maybe you could give it a try. Turns out every once in a while a flock of deviants switch from deviantART to Storm-Artists. So you can probably find a few deviants there too. XD
