The Ipswich Code (Open & Accepting)
╔════════════════════════╗ THE SETUP ╚════════════════════════╝ At Ipswich Academy Boarding School, students enrolled are just like everyone else. Only, all the students are in fraternities. But, these "frats" are different from your typical Greek Housing. These special housing groups were actually created around ones' species. You read that right, species. Sons and daughters of different factions of witches (like Wiccans), warlords (dark mages), vampires, werewolves, psychics, and anything imaginable, and, of course, a human or two. However, all the students enrolled in the school act and look as humans because, should they be caught using their powers or in their true form, they would be expelled, or worse... killed. Ipswich Academy, the religious private school, seems to attract just about everyone. Yet, only those with superior grades and service are accepted. |
╔════════════════════════╗ FIVE OR SIX YEARS LATER ╚════════════════════════╝ After Ipswich fell to the arms of the wicked, the students were scattered about the planet. Each learned how to perfect his or her own skills alone. Given a book of spells and magic that would assist in the development of unique talents, the students were told to never seek out each other. However, times have changed. |
╔════════════════════════╗ TIMES OF WAR ╚════════════════════════╝ Letters were mailed out to all the surviving students, calling for students to gather and rebel. Oppression and death has fallen to the hands of some of the most beloved students. The youngest of the five brothers personally delivered letters to each student who once attended his grandfather's school. The letter contained information about the trials that were underway. The common folk, the regular humans, were out for blood. Fearing the demise of the supernatural kind, Chad "Ace" Yasui pleaded for his fellow friends to come together to prove that not all supernaturals are evil. |
╔════════════════════════╗ DECEPTION OR TRUTH ╚════════════════════════╝ Knowing that evil exists, Ace prays that the students will help him fight and win a war against darker beings. These uncivilized and uncultured monsters are the creatures that are tainting their kind. However, Ace knows that some of the students have turned toward that dark side. He has heard rumors that his presumed dead brother, Deka Yasui, is the leader of this devious group. These traitors are going by the name of DEATH, and they seek to rule the world by destroying all the humans. |
╔════════════════════════╗ D E A T H ╚════════════════════════╝ The DEATH clan is made up of darker creatures - demons, vampires, warlocks, and other creatures who tend to land as villains in childhood stories. The leader of DEATH is said to be a dark being that is out to destroy the humans. They see humans as an inferior race that destroys the planet by creating weapons that hurt the earth. DEATH is trying to convert people to their side. To do this, they capture people and imprison them. Forcing them to stare into the moon for 3 days straight, the prisoners are moon-washed and are able to be manipulated. Anyone who is moon-washed is unable to be saved. Once the moon taints your eyes, you lose any sense of compassion. Darkness forever fills the heart. |
╔════════════════════════╗ THE IPSWICH CODE ╚════════════════════════╝ Bound by a blood contract signed years ago, any student enrolled at Ipswich vowed that should darkness fall onto the earth, he or she would fight. The time has come. War is upon the students. Even though they were unable to finish their schooling, the students are the only hope. Humans like Varick V. Walker need help. Unable to fight creatures with supernatural powers, the humans are creating a series of trials which kill anyone suspected of being non-human. Should a non-human be caught, a needle is injected into the spine and a lethal toxin kills the victim. This weapon was designed by Varick, as he no longer trusts anyone. After all, who could trust someone that can shape shift, read minds, create fire with bare hands, or heal a wounded soldier. Nonetheless, the Ipswich Code states, that no matter the end result, students must do all they can to protect the lesser race - humans. |
╔════════════════════════╗ THE GIST ╚════════════════════════╝ This roleplay is about a war that has been waging for years. The war between humans and non-humans. Much like the Salem Witch Trials of the past, the present is now conducting the Ipswich Supernatural Trials. Anyone found to be a non-human is prosecuted and killed, unless they offer their body to science. However, the supernaturals are rebelling. Those who have joined the ranks of DEATH are trying to kill off all the humans and any other weaker races of supernatural. DEATH will kill anyone who opposes them. But, in a world of darkness, there is hope. The students enrolled in the school of Ipswich can do something. They can stand up against the evil and do what's right. The students of Ipswich had about six years to experience life on their own. Some went onto college and now work amongst humans. Others have spent six years hiding in fear. A small few have departed and moved on to the after life. |

[IMGRIGHT]http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/143/8/4/Yoite_Icon___Water_4_by_xLilith_Skiesx.jpg[/IMGRIGHT]Varick V. Walker looked up into the darkening evening sky. It was odd how everything changed. He was once such a well respected and adored young man, but now he hid his face from the world.
He swindled away hours of his life working on new creations, but more specifically, a cure for non-humans. It was to be injected directly into the spinal cord of said being, but the accuracy needed was far too challenging. Seeking out an easy kill trigger, Varick worked on creating weapons that glowed with such a power. Should a bullet be fired from the barrel of a gun, the bullet's coating would kill on impact. Made of silver, it would thwart any werewolf that dared cross his path. For vampire creatures, Varick was working on creating blades whose core harnessed the power of UV light. One slice and the foul beast would die. Hands crossing under his chin, Varick looked up at the tower of books that surrounded him. "Butler," his hollow eyes glistened in the dimming candle light, "add wood. It looks like I'll be pulling another all nighter. I must finish these weapons for war is upon us." |

Alika walked the streets under the evening sky. She had been in this city for probably a week so far. Hiding in plain sight. She wore brown contacts in order to hide her bright purple eyes. Some humans did have purple eyes, but it was better to look as normal as she could. Normal to humans that was. Her hair remained the same. Simply because she could have dyed it to be that color after all. So it worked in her favor. The darkness crept up very fast, as the streets slowly became more and more silent. She would be heading back to her hotel for now. |

The evening was bright, the sun gleaming in the sky as it set with so many so many colors, the only time the girl would go out and play. The girl looked around the territory they had won so long ago. The workers as she called them, kept up the integrity of the building and made sure it shined enough for her to see her face on the floors. DEATH may have won the battle against the stupid students who had tried to defend it, but they were not going to let it be demolished due to the fact that it was their new home. She had made most of the newbies who had just joined the group clean the buildings and there were a lot of them so the job would get done very easily and it never took too long. Since the day was so bright, she thought about making it gloomy. Maybe she would go out and kill a few humans. See if they would hunt her when she was the one that was going to hunt them. It was such a boring day without fighting or killing someone. Just a normal day. With a new kind of feeling inside her, a sort of feeling of determination, she went down to the city near Ipswich and looked to pray upon the most beautiful couple or some stupid girl that had gone out to party just because Tylic had the abilities to. Going down into the town she did find a couple that seemed to walk through the park. Instead of just killing them like she usually did, she decided to play a little prank on them. The girls hair became an entire slither of snakes which made the man scream in terror. A horde of spiders seemed to crawl all over the man's skin as the girl tried to figure out how to get the snakes off her head, getting bitten in the process. It was an illusion of course but a very real one to them. The girl had been hitting her barrettes furiously instead of a bunch of snakes which is how her hands got cut. The man started to roll on a bunch of twigs thinking it was the concrete in order to get the bugs off of him. Tylic smiled then laughed in delight at the sight of all that was happening. The spell she put on them would wear off in a matter of days, but for now it was more fun torturing them then killing them like she usually would have done. What was even more fun was the fact that the people would quarantine the couple just for going from being healthy to hallucinating. The girl went back towards the school, leaving her defenses up in case someone tried to attack her on her way back to Ipswich. |

Cherie Cosmos Corelle gazed down at the human, who was trembling in fear like a scared mouse. She had lured the human here, into a field of flowers, with an offer of fine clothes and an elegant home. How foolish the human was...oh! Cherie realized that she hadn't even bothered to learn the human's name yet. She always asked them their name before finishing them off. "Sweetie." She drawled out the word so that it ended up sounding like sweeee-teh. The girl's eyes just darted around, looking for a possible escape route. Cherie chuckled. Oh, how cute. "I forgot. What's your name?" Leaning down, she cradled the girl's cheek, making sure to freak her out as much as she could. "I-I...I'm...I'm Lizzy." This was the girl's answer, spoken barely above a whisper. "Lizzy, huh?" Cherie drew back a bit, wanting to toy with the human, making her think that she was going to let her go. Oh, this was fun. "Y-yes. W-who are you? I thought you were going to give me the...riches?" Lizzy found her voice, speaking up a bit. "Who am I?" Cherie made a sad face, mocking her. "You don't need to know..." she wrapped her arms around the frightened girl so that it seemed like she was hugging her. Bringing her face to the girl's ear, she whispered the rest of the sentence. "...and you'll never find out." "What?" The girl furrowed her brows, then widened her eyes, bringing her head back and howling in agonizing pain. Cherie wrinkled her nose. Thank god she chose to kill the human in a deserted flower field, or else that would've had the authorities racing in. She pulled the blades out of the girl's now bloodstained back, retracting them back into her black gloves. "Ahhh, kill of the day, finished!" Cherie dug a hole in the fields and buried the girl, leaving one arm sticking up, like a zombie in one of those zombie horror movies with bad picture effects. She picked a bloodstained lily from the field and examined it, tilting her head from side to side. Cherie decided to take the flower with her. Yawning and stretching, she headed her way back into town. |
[imgleft]http://i335.photobucket.com/albums/m464/The_Midnight_Sun290/23223346.jpg[/imgleft] The stars overhead were brightly lit up as a girl with blue-green hair walked alone on the sidewalk. She was heading no where in particular, and had no where she had to be. Pausing in her slow pace, the girl looked up to the sky to watch the sky for a moment. She counted a few stars before continuing on her walk. The crisp night air felt good against her warm skin. Just a few days priro, she had been overwhelmed by a vision, one that sent her not only into a panic attack, but also gave her a fever. The fever still hadn't broken, but the overwhelming ill feeling had subsided. The fever should have broken by now, but Lain just shrugged it off. She had run worse fevers before, for longer periods of time. There had been weeks where she had been ill, running freakishly high fevers, and yet, here she was, struggling with a small fever.
"I wish Ipswich was still open...." she murmured, realizing she had no idea where she was. She was in a part of town that she didn't visit very often. The buildings were getting more and more spaced, as the lawns became cleaner, greener, and prettier. A small look around herself told Lainey that she was near the park she used to go to hang out at when she was merely a child. Heading in the direction that she thought was right, she continued on. It wasn't long before Lainey was utterly, completely lost. "Lainey, your are absolutely hopeless when it comes to directions..." She said, her voice tense. She knew there was someone else around.. Well, not exactly someone. It was more like something. Whipping around at the slightest sound of a soft hum, she brought her fists up in defense. Damn, I forgot my dagger at home... she thought, cursing herself silently. A few seconds later, and a much tenser Lainey, something materialized in front of Lainey. It was a young woman, a beautiful one at that. Tilting her head, Lainey looked at the girl... rather spirit, in front of her. "May I ask who you are?" She asked, her voice rough with tension. The spirit merely looked at her and with one ghostly hand beckoned her to follow. Lainey hesitated at first, but soon reluctantly followed her. The spirit lady would take off ahead, only to stop and wait for Lainey. This continued on for quite a while, eventually stopping when Lainey stood outside a park, huffing and panting due to weak lungs; this was caused by the constant fevers she ran. When she looked around, the spirit lady seem to have vanished. "You are not a normal one... " "No, I'm not." Lainey said, catching her breath. "You must help us. We in the after life fear what may come... We saw what happened to the school of Ipswich... If you do not stop what is coming, all of the humans will be gone..." The woman started fading. "Wait! What do you know about that!?" she yelled. But it was too late, the woman had already faded. "Dammit!" she exclaimed, slamming her fist against the nearest wall. That was when she realized she had been shown the way to the park nearest her home. Shrugging it off lightly, she wandered around the park aimlessly, trying to figure a way to contact the spirit who had shown up in front of her. |

"You have got to be kidding," The snake demon protested, looking at the front of the receipt. "There's no possible way that honey dijon mustard prices have risen in the past few years. This world is crazy." Medusa was wearing a kindergarden girl's dress and her yellow eyes were hued brown with her own magic, making her seem like a young girl. Her scarf, a possessed demon itself, quieted itself and was disguised as one of those HotTopic animal scarves. It was the only disguise she could pull off, her height three feet off the ground and even that was a little too short. "People here have to make a living somehow, Medusa~" Mo explained cheerfully, shuffling through the back of groceries until he found the cookies. He wore everyday street clothes, dark jeans and a black t-shirt to match his jacket. The two walked along the sidewalk seemingly as brother and sister. "Shut it, sparkle-boy, it's your fault we're in this mess. I would have preferred staying back in Russia." 'Sparkle boy' was a new term Medusa had begun to call her partner ever since he discovered a fascinatingly inaccurate book about vampires after they emerged from hiding in Moscow, Russia. Medusa, being a snake, may have hated the cold there but it was nothing compared to going back into society altogether. "... And did you ever buy anything to use for a dinner besides cookies? She added, it was getting late already. "Nope!" Was the response, which received a punch in the stomach from Medusa. "That hurt you know." Mo pouted, puffing out his cheeks in a upset manor. "It should have, now lets get home before you eat whatever meal I have." -------- They arrived at the apartment, Mo set the groceries down and looked out the window to the darkening sky. "You know, Medusa," He said, "I think deep down inside you want to see everyone too." The demon just gave Mo a hard glare to that comment, then retreated into her room. |
куℓє & ℓєχι "ωнєяє єχα¢тℓу ιѕ тнє ƒυη ραят?" "Take it. I insist." Kyle offered to his sister. Lexi had clumsly dropped her food on the ground, and the two hadn't eaten in days. Lexi shook her head, "It's yours, Kyu." Lexi refused to deprive her brother's food from him. They'd been lucky they had any money left after having to pay this weeks apartment rent, enough to buy food at that. Lexi had normally aways won these fights, but Kyle refused to let her win. He stared at her seriously, and without any words Lexi took the food from his hands. "I have to go now. My job starts soon. I'll be back in a couple hours." Kyle said to Lexi, before hugging her and walking off. Lexi hated her brother leaving for work, but it was for the best. They had both been trying to get jobs for a while now, but they had always been told they were to childish, which they were. They'd been lucky when Kyle landed a job at some store, just asking people if they needed help. It was very little pay, but Kyle willingly took it, determined to make sure his sister and him had a decent place to live. "Bye Kyu...." Lexi murmured, before sighing. She'd always been so bored and lonely when he was gone. She smiled, reassuring herself that it'd go by fast. Lexi began skipping, deciding to explore around a bit. She had always loved telling her brother when she found a new place. |
