Fairy Stone Magic (Remake) Open & Accepting
Fairy Stone Magic Within the hills of Virginia there are special stones. These stones are called Fairy Stones. Legend has it that these stones were created when an elven messenger brought news of the death of Christ to the fairies who once lived here. After receiving the message the fairies cried and their tears that fell crystallized into the shape of crosses. The fairy stones come in the shape of St. Andrews, Roman and Maltese crosses. The St. Andrews cross is the most common to be found, then the Roman and the Maltese is the rarest. It's said that if one is lucky enough to find one of these crosses that they will gain magic power. The magic powers range widely from divine protection to the ability to control/manipulate an element, but some of these powers come with a cost other then the risk of losing your mind if you ever lose your stone. So will you go forth into Patrick County, Virginia and hunt for one of these little charms? If so be warned once you have found a Fairy Stone you must always keep it on you. If you lose your Fairy Stone you will be in grave danger. For those who have lost their charm are said to go mad. http://cdn.content.compendiumblog.co...1cae_w640.jpeg The Legend Quote:

Lexi stood by the car, stretching in the early morning sun. The warm sun felt good on her cheeks as she stood there waiting. At least the sun helped to take a bit of the coolness of the morning away. The day that she got to go on her long awaited trip to Patrick County to hunt for fairy stones had finally came. “Come on Jamie hurry up. Aren’t you guys ready to leave yet?” She was growing impatient as Jamie, Ash and Nikki finish putting their stuff in the trunk of the car. It wouldn’t take them too long to reach their destination if she could get her friends to move faster. The drive was about four hours so they should arrive in Patrick County around lunch time.
Lexi’s friends finally finished getting things packed in the car. “About time,” she teased them. “Yeah yeah Lexi. Why are you so cheerful? I didn’t think that you were a morning person.” Jamie said as he got into the driver’s seat. She just shrugged. “Normally I’m not, but I’m so excited to be getting away from here.” She sat in the passenger seat. Without much more chatter they others got into the car and the were off on their summer adventure. |
Ember sighed as Elizabeth bounced up and down on her bed. Why did we have to share a room? "Calm down mom and dad will be up soon." She pulled the last pin out of the vest she had just sewn. She turned it right side out and held it up to look. "But I want to go now!" Elizabeth stuck her lip out and pouted. Ember sighed again. Her sister was 17 but she still acted like a child at times. She threw the vest at her sister. "There the final peice to your outfit. See if it fits." She hadn't wanted to go on this trip so she had brought all of her sewing things with her.
A knock sounded at the door connecting their room to their parents. She stood up and opened the door. "Guess we're ready?" They all piled into the car. I'm so tired of this stupid car. On the road to the 'wonderful' park with the cross rocks she looked at her jeans. She rarely wore them but didn't want to ruin her good clothes hiking and looking for rocks. She even had on a plain blue t-shirt. She had tied her hair back and braided her sister's in fear of having to brush out both of their hair. |
As Jamie drove Lexi hooked up her mp3 player to the car stereo. “What kind of music do you guys want to listen to?” In the backseat Nikki had already fallen asleep and Ash just shrugged at her when she glanced back. She let out a sigh then started going through her song list. After I little bit she came to one of her favorite songs and turned it on. Jamie looked over at her when he heard her singing along softly to the song. “Please don’t tell me you’re going to be doing that all the way.” He was just picking on her, but she took him seriously. “No,” she turned her head to look out the window.

Akira sighed as she quickly got dressed. She enjoyed hiking and whatnot, but there was other things she could be doing. Since it was with a group of friends, she decided to come with. It was their last trip before they headed off to college. They had told their parents that they were going to the beach, but something about being left all alone in the woods possibly getting lost and mauled by some animal seemed intriguing to them. Not to mention that their parents wouldn't be able to monitor them when there was no cell service.
Wearing black shorts below a white shirt with a deformed tree printed on the front in black, black fingerless gloves, and black combat boots, she left her room and joined the others by the car. Everything was packed, and all they had to do was drive to where their journey began. She sat in the front with her friend, Nicholas, while Sara (his sister), Jon, and Erica sat in the back. It took them a few days to hike from Central Pennsylvania to the destination of where the legendary Fairy Stones were rumoured to be. Quickly, the girls set up the tent and started a fire, while the guys went out to look for some fish or something to eat. |
They reached the park before long and Elizabeth immediatly jumped out of the car. She had been so exicted about this trip and while Ember found it annoying she understood. Ember got more slowly at the car. They had decided that they would go looking around and their parents had decided they would sit at a picnic table and do nothing. Elizabeth couldn't stand looking around with her sister though. Her sister was extremely religous but she wasn't at all. But the same was true of Elizabeth and quilts or cosplay. Ember smiled though as her sister ran joyfully into the trees.

After about an hour on the road, Lexi fell asleep. It was still going to be a few more hours before they would reach their destination. Jamie sighed to himself. “Great they all went to sleep on me. Who is suppose to keep me awake now?” Even though the others being asleep annoyed him he was glad about one thing and that was the fact there wasn’t too much traffic on the interstate. At least now he could also stop to get coffee without any complaints from Lexi. So he got off at the next exit to get gas and some hot coffee.
Viatrix lounged lazily in the top of a tree. “So bored.” She looked over to the birds, who had also made the tree their home for the morning. “Nothing exciting has happened around here lately, but things usually always get more interesting in the summer. I guess you guys don’t really care about that do you?” She mused about how things use to be before humans started to seek the fairy stones and a war basically started. Really she was for neither side, but chose to help those who she felt needed it. |
Ember turned in the opposite direction her sister had run off in and started walking. Weaving in and out between trees she quickly lost her way. Why is it I can never keep directions straight in my head? She looked around and sighed. So what is this place suppost to be about? Some rocks that look like crosses. Haven't seen anything yet. At least at my cons there is always something going on. She walked on and soon could hear the sound of water. She ran towards the noise and found a small brook. She smiled and quickly sat down next to it. The irony of her name and her love of water always made her smiled. As she sat staring at the water she lost track of time. After a bit she shook her head and looked at the ground she was sitting on. I'm suppost to be looking for rocks not water. She hadn't seen any rocks let alone cross shaped ones. She looked along the ground and saw something under a leaf. She reached out, having to stretch slightly, and picked up the rock. I guess this is what I'm looking for. It was a rock that had a look of a cross. Yay, now I can just sit. She returned to staring at the water.

((Just so you guys know. Shadami messaged me last night to let me know she has limited internet access during the week. So she is usually just online on the weekend.))

Isis roamed around the forest, but not on the ground. She was casually jumping from branch to branch on the trees. Why? Because she didn't want to be spotted easily. She preferred spotting others first, instead of the other way around. She kept her wings out, fluttering them lightly as she jumped to keep herself from missing the next branch. Her silver hair floated lightly behind her as she drifted through the air. She was obviously enjoying herself.
She could hear the sound of water after a bit, then decided she might as well stop and rest for a while. Her mouth was dry anyways, and she's been wanting to bathe for quite a while now. As Isis approached the sound of the water, she drifted to the ground, making her wings disappear into a cloud of fine, sparkly dust. She strode up to the brook, at first not noticing that she wasn't alone. She leaned down, cupping her hands, and picked up the cool water so she could drink. |
Ryoma Tatsuyoshi was a hard worker, she was just getting out of her secretary job and was off to her free time job. She worked as a librarian at the local library, filing papers and books, bringing in the new newspapers and magazines and stamping them for the shelves. She let her bangs down and changed out of her contacts to her glasses. When she worked in the back room at the library the dust tended to get caught in the contacts and it was uncomfortable. "Morning Betty!" She called cheerfully as she entered.
"Sweetheart it is afternoon like it is every time you get here. Change up your speech once in awhile." Ryoma shook her head with a smile at the older woman, they had a playful relationship, the old lady always keeping an eye on her like a grandmother. "By the way there's new magazines darling, mind starting with those?" The next few hours dissappeared as Ryoma went through the motions of the job, while holding a magazine to her nose reading up on all the new discoveries and her mouth dropped as she finished the last bit. A rumor that people would soon be flocking to Patrick County Virginia because of some recent EMF readings by some ghost hunters, and this one guy had even brought a tv crew in and swears up and down he got some voice clips of some fairies. Of course, being a Tatsuyoshi, Ryoma rushed the rest of her chores as assistant librarian kissed Betty on the cheek and rushed out in an excited blur. "I've got to go check this out, i'll be back soon, tomorrow maybe, but i have to go." "It's okay sugar, you do what you do. See you next week." Betty waved her hand dismissively. The moment she got home she tore apart her room looking for some gear she could use in the plethora of magical hunting gear the family had used for generations. She grabbed some cameras and flashlights, as well as a sifter, a small handheld shovel, and a voice recorder. She tossed all the gear into an over-a-shoulder bag which she swung on and was back out the door jumping onto her motorcycle. A quick type into her gps and hooking the headphones up so she could hear the directions over the roar of the bike she took off on the trip, if she really needed to she'd return home again. After all, the site wasn't too far away. |
Ember had lost herself in thought. She was peicing together her next oufit in her head and trying to figure what she would need to buy. A girl crossed her vision and she gasped. By this time the girl had bent over and was drinking water. It was a suprise for someone to walk in front of her here.
|
Isis, hearing a gasp from the other side of the brook, straightened up and gazed at the girl across from her. She didn't notice until now, but her sensed were telling her that there was a stone in the area. She tilted her head as she looked at the other girl, there was a Roman stone in her hand.
"Hello." She finally said, smiling. "I see you found a Roman stone." She said in a casual tone. I wonder if she knows the consequences that follows.. She thought. |
Ember looked down at the stone in her hand. "Hello. Uh, yeah, I guess so. Don't really know much about this stuff. Sis is the one who knows all about it." She looked at the girl's outfit noting that it was a weird choice for hiking. She evaluated the fabric trying to figure out what it was. I've never seen fabric like that. She simply sat there staring at the girl wondering if she would talk more or leave.
|
Isis noticed she was staring at her dress, she looked down at herself, her dress was made of a special fabric that never stained or dirtied. It was one of her mothers favorite things to do; make clothing out of fabric that supposedly never existed.
She looked back up again, mentally shaking herself from thoughts of her long gone mother. Her smile came back. "My name is Isis." She introduced herself. She was unsure if whether she should mention she was a fairy or not. Her sister knows about the stones? She thought. Then began to wonder where her sister could be. Is she lost? |
Ember shook herself out of her thoughts when she saw that the girl wasn't going to leave. "I'm Ember." Speaking of her sister made her wonder where she was. I hope she found one of these stones. If I found one and she didn't she'll be so upset. "So, do you believe in the myths too or just out for a hike?"
|
Ryoma cruised down the road, excitement building within her. Why didn't you change clothes silly, she teased herself. She was still in her work clothes, a white v-cut, her glasses, and this short skirt and halter stockings. Though she did adore the red vest. Mentally she added doing laundry to her to do list before she went back to work. After all, she was about to be trekking through the woods in search of the rumored stones and the fairies that were sure to follow the discovery of one.
Probably 20 minutes later she entered the state park and turned off onto a dirt road that would lead deeper into the forest. She revved the bike as if it was a dirt bike instead of a motorcycle and zoomed down the now dirt road. Her plan was to park some where excluded that no one could steal her bike while she explored, but she'd still be able to find to get back to. |
Isis continued to smile as an angelic light grew from her back, and after a few seconds, the light disappeared and her wings were in it's spot. "Of course I believe in myths," she said happily, "I'm usually part of them."
She knew that this person was of no danger to her, so it wouldn't hurt to tell her that she was a fairy, right? She just hoped that the reaction to follow was a good one.. |
Ember watched as wings appeared on the girl. "Hm... nice effect. Do you have some kind of switch that triggers the light? The wings are nice too. What are they some kind of shiney fabric?" She put her head her hand as she looked. Well, it looks like I attract all the dress up people. She makes a really good faerie though.

They were finally nearing their destination. Lexi finally woke up when Jamie poked her repeatedly as he asked if she wanted to stop somewhere for lunch. She batted his hand away. “No, I packed us a picnic lunch so we could eat at the park.” She let out a yawn as she looked out the window. A smile spread across her face when she seen the 5 mile sign to the park. “Hurry up Jamie we’re almost there.” She was excited again and hyper. “You guys back there wake up too.” As she shouted at them she was half tempted to turn up the radio loud to wake them. She decided against it since she’d end up hurting her own ears too. It was a few minutes before they reached one of the shelters. “This seems like a good spot to start.”
They climbed out of the car. Lexi quickly went around to the trunk to get out her back pack that had stuff for spending the day hiking. “I’m not really hungry so why don’t you guys go on to the campsite and eat. I’ll meet you guys back there around dinner time.” Before they could even say anything she had already headed off into the woods. Viatrix sensed that a stone had been found recently and could also hear talking in the distance. She stretched a little before hopping out of the tree. She landed lightly on her feet near the base of the tree. A robin can and chirped at her telling her a girl who had found a stone talking to another fairy. Whistling she told the bird thank you. She didn’t feel like bothering to hide her wings since the girl was already with another fairy and she’d have to explain things to her anyway. She made her way to the stream where the robin had seen the girls. When she arrived she lingered in the tree line to watch for a little bit. |
Isis blinked, her head tilting. Then her smile came back and she shook her head, "Nope. No effects." She said happily as her tiny wings flapped slowly, "I'm a fairy."
Thinking that might not be enough of an explanation, she added, "I can prove it to you if you'd like." Her eyes glowed eagerly. It had been days since she was able to use her God-given abilities. She sensed another fairy close by, but she didn't bother to give any notice. If it was a bad fairy, she'd easily get rid of them. But if it was a good fairy, then that would make her day even better. She hasn't talked to another fairy is forever! |
Great, amazing cosplaying talents and she's crazy. Or just one of those that don't break character. God, I hate those. Ask them where the bathroom is and they say 'What is this bath rooom you speak of?' Ember rolled her eyes. "Sure your a fairy and I'm really the Mad Hatter. Just left my hat at home today." She tipped her imaginary hat and stood up dusting herself off getting ready to leave.
