Axel glared at Maria when he saw that Roxas only came in for her but his gaze softened. She couldn't help being nice anymore then he could stop drinking blood. "Are you feeling any less hard headed after some sleep?"

Roxas reluctantly turned to Axel when the redhead spoke to him. It would be rude if he didn't. "No.. I don't think I am." the blond stated. He was always going to be hotheaded. No matter how much sleep he got.

"That really is too bad." He put his head on his hand. "So why don't you tell us about yourself? I like to get to know my people. Feels more like a family that way right girls?" He winked at Maria.
Maria giggled and Anna chuckled. |
"And what exactly is it that you want to know about me?" Roxas asked. For the most part, he would tell the truth. Unless, of course, it was something that was personal. Then he would probably lie about it.

"Oh, anything really. Your age? Hobbies? Family? Goals? For example this long haired beauty," Axel waved at Anna, "is 25. She came to me at 20. She had been married for two years and had spent them being beaten. Maria here," he waved at her, "is 16 and came here at 13. Her mother died when she was born and her father beat and starved her." He pointed at several people in the kitchen. "Darren was a runaway. He was addicted to many drugs. Emily had a good life but was kidnapped on vacation and sold several times. In two years she will be set free. Sarah's family sold her to slavery and she loves to read." As he talked he looked at each of the slaves in turn. When he was done he turned to Roxas. "So what is your story?"

Roxas looked around at each of the slaves as they were spoken about. Once Axel was done speaking, the blond thought about himself. But when he tried to think of it, his mind came up blank. "... I don't know..." he said honestly. Why was his mind blank. Sure, he couldn't remember anything before waking up in that cage. But he did remember his name. Why was that? He had no idea.

Axel leaned onto the table and turned too look closer at the blond. It doesn't look like a lie. Axel could tell to a certain extent when a person lied. The heart rate changed, they looked away but nothing had changed with this boy. He could be a very good lier but I doubt that. He moved his head to one hand and started druming the fingers of the other hand on the table. "Sounds like amnesia. I wonder what caused it? If it was when the captured you and made you a slave. Or if your former master did it to you. He stared at the boy for a moment. This really is interesting.
"Well then, you can't tell us about that so how about something easier? What is your favorite color? Do you find anyone here attractive? Did you sleep well? I hate not knowing anything about someone." |
Former master? Roxas was sure that he's never been a slave before. If he had been, he wouldn't be so mad at the redhead for buying him. So it must have happened when he became a slave. That had to be it. He thought about the questions. "I think that my favorite color is blue...I slept fine... And... Maria is kinda cute.." he said, nodding towards her.

Maria giggled and blushed but didn't speak.
Axel sighed. He likes the girls. To bad. Then he smiled at Maria. "Aw, isn't that cute Maria? I'm glad you slept. Some of the slaves were unable to sleep after coming here. Some because of their pasts, some because it was day, others because of what I and many in this house, are and a few because life had changed so much. I am glad to see you are opening up though and not just running out yelling You can't control me!" He winked then gave a low chuckle. This has been fun. "Well, while this has been fun I should get to the others. I believe Fang is coming before me today." He looked at Anna and Maria. "So make sure all of the girls stay in the family room. I'll send Ember or Ice to stay with you." The girls nodded and got up to gather the others. "So would you like to come with me Roxas? Don't worry, nothing will happen to you and I will ask nothing of you." |
Roxas was a bit surprised that Axel invited him to come with him. Sure, he really didn't want to go. But wouldn't it be rude to refuse. Then again, he didn't really care if he was rude to the redhead or not. "No.. I don't want to go with you." the blond stated. If he had a choice in the matter, he wasn't going to do anything Axel wanted him to do.

Axel stood and sighed again. It would have been a little fun with him there. Oh well. "Fine you do not have to. I just thought you might want to learn more about this world." He looked the blond over carefully for a moment. "Your pretty... I would suggest not walking around alone today. Or being alone at all. You may be male but your still pretty. Fang and his family are not nice. They are rotten even for my kind." He turned to leave but said over his shoulder, "I don't wish to lose my newest slave so quickly."
He left and went to find Ember and Ice. They were both high ranking vampires and could have been masters themselves had they wanted the responsibility. The only difference between him and them was that he had control of this land. Because of that he could draw on their power but he had to protect them and this land. Axel's family was different then most because he hadn't made all of the vampires. But all the ones he had made shared powers like his own. Ember and Ice were the first of his children. They had changed their names to match their powers. They were his most trusted. He finally found Ice. She dyed her hair again that weird shade of light blue. She spends so much on her hair. She was faced away from him but turned to him a moment later. Her knee length braid swished around her. "Hello Ice. Find your sister and go to the girls. Fang and his family are here." She simply nodded and went off. They all knew Fang. |
Roxas nodded slightly to what Axel had said. He would keep that in mind. But he wasn't just going to sit around doing nothing and let some vampire and his family intimidate him. He finished eating before standing up.
The blond wiped his hands on his pants before leaving the kitchen. Time to do some more looking around. And paying more attention to where he was going. He was sure that if he ran into anybody that would give him trouble that he could handle it. Unless that person was a vampire. Then he probably couldn't. But he would try anyway. |
Axel put on a strong face and walked into the audience room. Fang had sent word that he was coming to ask about making another vampire. Fang was not under Axel. He had his own land but he was not a master. Because of that he had to come to Axel to ask to bring in more slaves or make more vampires. I should have just killed him those many years ago.
He sat on his raised chair and looked at his own two male vampires standing on either side. He gave them a smile then turned to Fang's family, expect Fang was not there. "Where is Fang?" One of the vampires stepped forward keeping his eyes down. "He said he would be right back." Axel stood up with fear. "He knows he isn't welcome in my home. I will go look for him. If he returns tell him I have declined his request. He will learn to obey me. And you will leave." He turned back to the door and walked through it. I hope he tries to get to the girls. Ice and Ember will freeze then burn his butt off. He quickly made his way to where the girls were hiding and walked inside. No Fang. Then he noticed that Roxas wasn't there either. He turned to Ember. "Fang is out. Watch out." He turned around again to start the hunt. |
Roxas was a bit surprised to see nobody as he walked around the castle. He had been expecting to at least see some guards. But the hallways were empty. Which was fine by him. That would make getting out of here so much easier.
The blond figured that everybody was in the audience room, so he made a mental note to avoid that area. He didn't want anybody to see him and ask what he was doing. He couldn't say that he was looking for the way out of here. That might get him in trouble. And since the halls were empty, he was surprised to run into someone. And this wasn't somebody he's seen around here before. But then again, he hadn't seen very many people before. "Excuse me..." he muttered. |
Fang always was trying to find a way to overthrow Axel and he had found that Axel cared too much. He cares too much about his little toys. And really Fang just liked to hurt people. Axel always has the prettiest girls. He found where the women hid but could feel the power flowing off of the two vampires inside. He knew those vampire and knew he couldn't beat them. I'll look for easier prey.
He turned and walked away. After a bit he felt a lone heartbeat and started stalking it. He finally came upon the person finding a blond boy. Aw, well he is kind of pretty. He'll have to do. When the boy ran into him and spoke he grabbed the boys arm. "Slaves shouldn't speak to their betters boy." |
Roxas automatically jerked his arm away from the man who grabbed him. He didn't like to be touched. By anybody. "It's not up to you to decide who I can talk to." he stated. Besides, he wasn't planned on being a slave for long. All it took was finding the way out. He knew that he shouldn't be talking to this man. Or anywhere near him for that matter. He could tell that he was dangerous and he wanted to get away from him. It wouldn't be smart to stick around for long.

Fang laughed as the boy pushed him off. He grabbed the boy again and shoved him against the wall. "Oh don't think you can get away that easily. Axel really is too soft on all of you." With his other hand he touched the boy's face. "You aren't really my type but you'll do."

Roxas winced when he was pushed against the wall. He glared at the man as he flinched away from the other's hand. "Don't touch me." he stated. He reached up and pushed the guy away from him. He really needed space to breath.

Fang growled. He needs to control his slaves. This one does not know me so he must be new. He needs to be broken in. He went to slap the man but his hand was caught a hair from the blond's face.
Axel noticed a heartbeat of a single person. He started moving quickly towards it. Everyone knew better then to be alone. It must be Roxas. He turned the corner and saw Fang holding Roxas against a wall. He watched as Fang raised his hand to hit Roxas. Axel ran over and grabbed Fang's arm. He could hear sizzling and he could see that his hands were covered in flames. He pulled Fang away from Roxas and threw him against the far wall. "You know better then to touch my people. You will leave now. Your people will be sent after you. Your request has been denied. You will not be granted another slave or vampire for 25 years." He stepped away from Roxas. "Now go!" Flames sprang up around him. He watched as Fang turned and fled. As soon as he could no longer see him he turned to Roxas. "Are you alright? I am sorry he got to you." He tried to look him over but couldn't really tell. The flames still covered him and he slowly brought them back under control then put them out. |
Roxas' eyes shut tightly as he waited for the blow to hit him. When it didn't, and he heard a sizzling sound, his eyes opened. It was was Axel. Thank goodness. He relaxed when the man, who he now assumed was Fang, was pulled away from him.
The blond was actually glad to see the redhead. But only for this instance. "I'm fine.. He didn't hurt me." he told him. He knew that this was probably his fault anyway. He should have just stayed with the others, but he, of course, couldn't. |
"Good." He started to reach out to grab Roxas's but dropped his hand. My hand might still be too hot. Instead he waved the blond forward. "Come on your coming with me. I need to make sure he and his actually leave and I can't leave you here. I would take you to the others but I don't want to give him anymore time to cause problems." Roxas will be safe with me there but I don't want to take him into that den of snakes with them all poised to attack.

He was surprised that Axel didn't grab him. But he figured that it was a smart idea, seeing as how fire just came out of the redhead's hands. "Alright." he stated. The blond moved in front of the redhead and began walking, though he wasn't sure where he was supposed to be going.

Axel turned and followed Roxas. I should lead since he doesn't know the way but I want to keep an eye on him. "Turn left. Third hallway on the right and it is the first door you come to." He followed till they reached the door then he reached out his hand and opened the door stepping in first. Fang was inside and arguing with his family. Axel's guards were looking agitated. "Enough. All of you get out. You are no longer welcome in my home. Next time you wish to speak to me it will be done else where. Go!" He threw power into his voice and watched as they quickly left.

Roxas followed Axel's instructions to the door. When he saw who was in the room, he glared at the vampire, Fang. He really hated that man. Though the blond couldn't help but smirk slightly at how Axel spoke to them. It was pretty amusing. And it was definitely something that they deserved.

Axel caught the smirk Roxas had on his face. Hey at least he hates him more then me now. When they were all out he turned to his guards. "Make sure they leave." He turned to Roxas. "You were looking for a way out earlier weren't you? That is useless. The exits are always guarded. It is for your safety though. There are many like Fang who dislike me. If they saw you leave they wouldn't pause to use you to hurt me." He stopped and stared out. After a moment he continued. "What would you like to do now?"
