- Arechi & L4D - "I didn't mean to!"
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/w.../Madhatter.jpg Name: M "Melony" H "Horrors" Age: Immortal Personality: She's sly and a trouble maker. She likes making a mess of things. She, of course is a demon, so causing trouble is her 'thing'. She's a terribly good liar, and thief, and she doesn't seem to care about anybody but herself. She get's what she wants, and that, is that. But other then that she is very laid back, and lazy. BIO: She was taken from the Underworld because she was summoned by accident. Usually when a demon is summoned, that purpose is to make a bargain with him, or her. But they are never in a good mood when being summoned unexpectedly. If they where summoned by accident--Well you wouldn't have a happy demon on your hands. But when it comes to her past, she won't tell you. |

Name: Ashton "Ash" Prenstone Age: Recently 20 Personality: He's a rather studious boy with a rather kind and gentle, though fairly clumsy, soul. Some might call him a slight 'neat freak' in some cases since he tries to keep everything he owns organized in some way. As a wizard he claims that it is important for him to keep things organized so that if he were ever in dire need of a particular spell or incantation that he needed to look up, he'd be able to quickly find it. He's rather gullible and is generally easy to deceive since he believes in the 'good of all living things'. Bio: Ash had been studying most of his life to learn the magic of sorceresses and wizards, dreaming that one day he would be good enough to be included in history and fantasy books like so many others before him. He was taken under the wing of a rather old wizard that had been looking for a successor to his magic and was taught the ways of spells and incantations, though told never to use them to actively harm someone or use his knowledge for wicked deeds. On his eighteenth birthday, the one he had called his mentor finally passed, leaving behind his books and spells for the lad to continue studying. During his search had had encountered a particularly ancient tome that dealt with summoning, but chose to wait until he was a bit more adept at magic before attempting anything like it. Now on his twentieth birthday he had decided to give it a try, believe that even if he didn't have the power that nothing would actually happen. He had flipped to a page that was suppose to summon an animal such as a small bird or cat, but a rather mischievous gust of wind had turned his page without his knowledge, and so had unknowingly said the incantation and preformed the spell to summon a demon instead. |
In the underworld, screams where heard from dead evil humans, with a mix of laughter from the other demons. But one demon, away from all the torture, was in her Gothic castle, with ghosts flying about, and pumpkins at every corner.
The Demon who lived in this house, was named, MH. Short for Melony Horrors. She was quite the mischievous little devil. But unlike the other demons, she liked being in her house, rather then watching humans get tortured. Not like she didn't like watching them suffer, she just liked being in her mansion, reading books. Not the usual books though...The type of books that the actual story characters pop out. If the book is title "The fearsome tornado" well that would pop out too. But of course, on the occasional day she did go out of her manor. "Draco, I'd like my usual tea." She said, her legs crossed as she sat down on her comfy looking couch. Draco, a headless man, bowed, and turned to follow her orders. He was probably the result of a deal he made with her. If she fulfilled his wish, then he would become her slave...Guess it didn't end well from the looks of it. MH flipped through the pages of her books. She loved the fine print of black and white. But something interrupted her from her reading. She heard a small squeak. She turned over her shoulder to see a small rat. "Oh, Melvin, how nice of you to visit me." She smiled as she reached over and patted its head with her index finger. "Still reading I see?" She nodded as a reply. "Yes. But this book is rather boring. It has no magic." "No one has summoned you for a bargain?" The rat ignored her talk about the un-magical book. "You know just as well as I do Melvin. No one has called for me in six hundred years." No joke. "My book must have been lost in an attic." She, and the rat sighed. It was boring without no one to trick into one of her bargains. ((Is the color too bright for you?)) |
(Lol no it's fine. I just looks like regular black to me. ^.^)
In the world above known as earth there stood a house that was old and worn, though still livable. There had been rumors going around that the old sorcerer that had once lived in it had passed away and that his home, books and spells were passed down to his apprentice, a young man by the name of Ashton Prestone. Now of course if one went to go to investigate they would have found these rumors to be rather true, but of course this had been spreading around for about two years now, and were rather old to the ears of Ash. However these old rumors were the last thing on the black haired boy's mind. A few days ago he had turned twenty and as part of an agreement with himself he had finally decided to attempt a summoning spell in a book he had discovered shortly after his mentor's death, and today was the day he was going to actually try it out. He had spent the last few days preparing and gathering all the materials that he needed, such as certain herbs, and a special kind of chalk that had taken him hours to locate in the random chests that was filled with various magical items. Currently he was finishing up the pentagram that he was drawing, completing it only a few minutes. "There...diagram done, incense burning and candles lit....Alrighty now I just have to double check that spell..." the male said turning to glance at the book he had placed down before starting his diagram. A frown however crossed his face as he realized that the book wasn't where he had last placed it. Quickly standing, and almost knocking down one of the tower of books that was currently surrounding him, he began rapidly searching for the missing tome. After a few moments, and a few stumbles later, he managed to locate the book that had 'migrated' to the top of a table that was a few paces away from the pentagram drawing. "Now how did that...never mind...Point is I found it finally" Ash said to himself, grabbing a hold of the book and flipping it to the correct page. He was going to attempt to summon something simple first, a mouse. Walking back towards the diagram, though tripping over his own feet, though managing to catch his balance before crashing into the ground. After he managed to make his way to his diagram he carefully set down the book, opened to the page that held the spell that would summon a mouse, on the floor and turned to check on the candles. One of his windows in the room were opened and he wished to make sure that they were still lit and burning strongly, however he failed to realize that a gust of wind blew through and the page of his book turned. "Ok looks like everything is set" he said triumphantly picking up his book before he started his chant. He hadn't bothered looking at what spell he was currently saying, confident that it was the one he had left it on. After he finished his gaze quickly glanced up at the pentagram that was now glowing. "Any moment now I'll find out if I was successful" he said joyously to himself as he waited anxiously. |
The demon was still on her chair, legs still crossed. The only thing different now was that she had a teacup in her hands, and Draco was at her side. "Isn't this cozy, Draco, Melvin?" "I would rather have cheese then be here now." Melvin squeaked, and Draco, ". . . . . ." Well Draco just stayed silent. "Thank you Draco, at least you enjoy being here." MH raised the teacup to her lips.
But before she could even take a sip, a sudden gust of wind surrounded her. "What the--" The rat jumped off her shoulder, not wanting to get involved in whatever she was involved in. "Draco, take care of the house for me!" She shouted, and then she got swallowed up by the wind. The Tea cup shattered against the floor. Draco, and the rat turned to each other. "Ya got any cheese?" ". . ." "Guess not." ~ "Gyaa!!!" MH screamed in the border between worlds. It was a rough ride to where ever she was going. But she was not pleased when her bottom hit the hard wood floor. "I didn't even get to take a sip of my tea." She muttered under her breath, her legs spread apart. She took the time to look at her surroundings. She saw a dark haired man holding unto a book that she immediately recognized. It was a summoning book. MH stood up, and brushed the dust off of her shorts. "Hello there, you summoned me? What is your wish dear boy? Want power? Wealth? Bring your loved one back?" She started to talk very fast, obviously wanting to get this over with. |
Ash couldn't help but feel excited as, what he presumed to be a mouse, began to appear. He frowned however as the shape was relatively...large rather than small. As the shadow finally formed into the solid and complete being, the dark haired male couldn't help but fall over backwards in surprise. Large eyes gazed at the female that had appeared instead of the mouse, and judging from the looks of her she was no ordinary female. Quickly he glanced back down at the book that was in his hands, finally taking a look down at the page that was opened. 'Oh no...What have I done?' he mentally asked himself as he glanced back up at the female with a worried and fearful gaze.
He would have perhaps frowned at the words but at the moment he was trying to figure out just how to tell the being before him that it had all been a mistake? That he hadn't meant to summon a demon but rather a mouse? And what's more he wasn't entirely sure how to send her back either, and he figured that, that would not go over well. "I-I apologize. I-I'm afraid there's...been a m-mistake..." he stammered out as he attempted to scoot back, running his back into the stool he had previously tripped over. |
MH chuckled as she watched the man squirm. "You're funny." She laughed as she started walking closer to him. Her heels clicked against the old wooden floor. But as he managed to stammer out the words, her amusement in him vanished, only to turn into boiling anger. "A mistake you say?" Her eyes turned red, which wasn't her natural eye color, silver. "Young lad, don't you know that these trips are never easy? Especially when you least expect it? I missed TEA for this lad, and you tell me that this was a MISTAKE? I was summoned to make a bargain with you. You where supposed to gamble your soul for something pathetic like bringing back your deceased girlfriend." She got closer, and closer to him. Looking more angry by the minute. "You'd better send me back now before I decide to stay and make your life miserable." She thought that if she got sent back now, then her tea would still be warm. But if she stayed to make his life miserable right now--Then when she got back her tea would already be cold.
|
Ash couldn't help but let out a nervous sounding chuckle as she started laughing, although it quickly silenced as her amusement turned to the rage that he had feared. As she angrily approached the human male attempted to try and put some sort of distance between them as he squirmed backwards as far as he could, at least until his back came in contact with a wall with a firm thump. Quickly he held the book over his head slightly in an attempt of a shield. "I-I truly am s-sorry. I-I didn't mean to s-summon you here honest! I-I'm also afraid I-I'm not exactly s-sure how to s-send you back. T-this was my first time summoning and you were suppose to be something simple like a mouse. M-my page had turned without my knowledge" the young man attempted to explain. He knew that his answers would probably anger the female demon even more then she already was, but then he couldn't entirely blame her.
He knew he had to think quickly if he wanted to come out of this possibly alive. "If...if it's tea that you desire I-I could attempt to make some. I truly truly am sorry" the boy offered, his body quivering behind the book and fearing that this would be the end of his life. 'I haven't even gotten through most of my mentor's books...I don't want to die now...' he thought fearfully and silently prayed to whatever deity could hear him that this would not be the way he was to die. |
". . ." MH stopped walking closer to him. . . . Didn't mean to summon me? . . . Doesn't this boy know that summonings---Especially a summoning of a demon are. . . Hard. How could he--- One who obviously looks totally unfit to summon me. . . I mean there is an easier way to summon a demon, but that way is for the humans who couldn't use magic. She turned her head to look behind her. These markings are such a high level use of magic. I wonder. . . I wonder. . . Who-- MH looked back at the clumsy boy. "Who is your mentor?" She asked, and as he spoke of tea, her eyes turned back to Silver. "Well it has been a while since I tasted tea of the human world. Shall we. . . Converse over the 'attempt' of tea you give me?"
|
Ash was rather relieved when the demoness ceased her approach, and thus allowed him at least a few more moments to live. He cringed as she opened her mouth to speak, fearful that it would be the declaration of his death and impudence, but was almost pleasantly surprised that it was merely a question of who his mentor was. At this question he couldn't help but blink in surprise a few times, after all out of all that he had expected to be said a question of his mentor was not one of them. "H-his name was Huitzilli Wild...Most knew him though as 'Huitzilli the Great Wild Fire Sage'...W-why is it you wished to k-know if I may ask?" he asked as he hesitantly lowered his arms and the spell book.
Again relief filled him as the female seemed to approve of the idea of receiving tea, though was a bit hesitant about the conversing part. 'Well better conversing than tearing me to pieces' he thought to himself as he shakily stood, still a bit nervous. Keeping as careful of an eye as he could on the female demoness he stumbled his way to what could be called a sort of 'cooking area', although it mainly was a room filled with books that consisted of a fireplace and a rod to hang things over it. Above the fireplace was a rather deepened shelving unit that contained various pots and even dishware, including a kettle. Not too far from the fireplace held a rickety cupboard that contained various herbs, spices and other necessities for food and drink, without being anything that could really spoil. Within the center of the room contained two chairs and a small table that had various books stacked around them, or in the table's case on it. A stool rested relatively near one of the chairs, with a book on top of that and flipped to what looked to be a marked page. As carefully as he could he made his way towards the cupboard at the far end, tripping a bit over the stool and almost having a rather painful meeting with the floor. Opening it up he reached in and retrieved a few items, such as tea leaves and aromatic spices, and made his way towards the fire place. A palish arm then reached up at the shelving unit to retrieve a small kettle and hooked it to the metal rod above the fireplace. "Fill and alight" the male quietly murmured causing a spark to leap in the fireplace, causing a fire to slowly begin, and the kettle filled with water as he pointed to both respectively. Bending down slightly he began adding the tea leaves to the kettle, as well as some of the spices, so that they could boil with the water. "I-it'll probably be a few minutes before it's ready...Is there anything else that I c-could get for you?" Ash offered, hoping not to upset the demoness more than he already had, as well as being as courteous as his frightened mind would allow. |
MH didn't reply to his question. She just simply pulled out a chair, and sat down. Surprisingly--Patiently waiting. . . .Huitzilli Wild. . . She seemed to be in deep thought as she was waiting for her tea. But suddenly, her eyes grew big, looking as if she thought of something. . . . I . . . She went back to her bored expression. . . . Have no clue who he is. Have I not been on earth for THAT long? That I don't know a powerful wizard's name. . . Or maybe he's one of those 'I have power but I won't show it to the world' type of wizard. Well, he's probably passed away from this kid using 'was'. She let out an small sigh.
A little bit later the clumsy wizard came up to her. Seemed as if he was using every bit of his strength trying not to upset her anymore. "I need a name. Your name." Before he could speak, she held up her right finger. "No! Don't tell it to me. Write it down." She snapped her fingers and a paper showed up. It looked blank. "Right down here at the bottom." Suddenly a feather pen appeared. "Now! I don't have all day." |
Ash noticed that his own question went unanswered, however chose to leave it be for the time being. She appeared to be patiently waiting for her tea, however that didn't stop the young wizard from trying to speed up the boiling of the water. Once the water had boiled and the leaves had adequately added their herbal flavor the young male quickly retrieved the kettle from the fire, burning a finger slightly as it brushed against the kettle accidentally, and made his way as carefully as he could to the nearest table space. Once the burning pot was set upon the space and secure enough he went to retrieve two tea cups and saucers from the shelf that the kettle had originated from, stumbling once again over the rather bothersome stool in the process.
After retrieving the dishware he returned again to the table, almost dropping one of the cups in the process, and carefully set them down. Lifting up the kettle again with a bit more caution than he had, had when taking it off the fire so as to avoid another burn. The aroma of the tea soon seemed to fill the house, giving it a nice spice and minty smell but not enough to be overpowering or overwhelming. The raven haired wizard knew that the tea would taste rather similar, after all if there was one thing that he benefited from in being a wizard it was his ability to mix things so that whether it was food or drink the tastes complimented each other quite nicely. Once the two cups were filled with tea, he carefully picked up one and set it near the demoness, hoping she would at least approve enough of it not to kill him at least. He then quickly returned to the other cup and took the other unoccupied seat. His hands were shaking slightly as he picked up the cup to take a sip, and almost spilled it on himself from the surprise at her sudden demand for a name. He opened his mouth to reply, but was quickly halted as she held up a finger and demanded for it to be written. He had just begun to glance around for a pen and paper when both suddenly appeared causing him to jump in surprise, causing some of his tea to leap from the cup and onto his hand. He flinched at her demand again and the impatience she seemed to show for him to write his name on the parchment, and after quickly locating a nearby cloth to wipe away the spilled tea on his hand, shakily took the pen in his hand and began to etch his full name onto it, revealing surprisingly good handwriting. Once he had finished writing his name he glanced back up at the demoness nervously. "I-if I may be as so b-bold to ask...why is it y-you wished for me to write my name...instead of s-saying it?" he asked as he continued to nervously stutter of his words. |
MH gave the young wizard a mischievous smile. Her eyes glistened at the thought of her plot. "You certainly are bold to sign an agreement with a demon, dear boy. Or should I say foolish?" Suddenly words started to appear on the 'blank' paper that he signed. "You should of had the common sense not to sign something given to you, unless you properly examined it. Any good wizard would see through this little trick." On the paper, it read a little something like this:
I agree to be a loyal servant under the Demon who I summoned. But not all of the hidden letters on the paper where revealed. It left out the part: I agree to be a loyal servant under the Demon who I summoned, for one wish, and I will not be set free until that demon has been sent home back into the underworld. But MH knew that it would be a long time before this wizard knew how to send her back home. Just enough time to make his life miserable for this little accident. She then took the paper, and looked at his name. "My, My, you have some good handwriting." She gave a grin. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mister Ashton, we are going to spend a lot of time together from now on." |
