I'm going to say no, because I haven't ever starved myself in order to deprive myself of nutrients/calories (to lose weight, or whatever). But I have participated in religious fasting before, when I was living with folks who did so.

Oh gawd.. those things freak me out so bad! I have not, nor do I ever want to be on one. If I didn't get old lady whiplash and a broken pelvis, I'd be the one case where the harness detaches and it launches me into the next town.
