Jake nodded at her and kissed her, when the pushed passed his anger level was dangerously high, he hated these guys but when they called them freaks he growled "thats it! wait here... i will be right back" he said teleporting in front of the boys "freaks huh?" he growled as he summoned fire in his hands "next time think before you call a demon a freak... you might not be as lucky" he growled then teleported back to Ayaka "sorry about that my dear" he said kissing her

She tried to stop him, but couldn't, so instead she watched hoping he wouldn't do something he could regret later. Ayaka smiled slightly as he returned to her side and kissed him. "Don't worry about it next time, really it doesn't bug me."

Jake sighed and nodded "i know, but it does bug me" he said as he knelt down and began exaimening it "it looks ok them me" now was the perfect time to "Ayaka..." he looked up to her and pulled out a ring "will you marry me" he said smiling

The workers and the second group of people who came in all turned to look at them. Ayaka's hand came up and covered her mouth in shock. She couldn't speak for the longest moment, almost frozen in complete shock. A smile slowly came upon her face. Ayaka nodded her head, "Yes. Of course." She managed to say, still shocked. Sure, Ayaka loved him with all her heart and knew that they would always be together but she never actually thought about getting married.

Jake smiled as he took her hand that wasn't covering her mouth and slipped a ring with a small but pure dimond onto her finger while standing up and kissing her "thank you" he said with a huge smile on his mouth, he hated to show it but he was excited and happy "thank you much for saying yes" he said kissing her again but for longer

"I couldn't have said anything else." She whispered kissing him back and wrapping her arms around his neck. "I couldn't ask for a better husband than you." Slowly she pulled away and blushed, noticing all the people watching them.

Jake smiled at what she said, his heart was soring through the skys and for once he felt good "that amazing, i couldn't have asked for a better wofe either" he said kissing her and nd chuckled seeing everyone watching "lets go home" he said as he held out his hand for her to take

After taking his hand she didn't move and said, "Hang on a second." As if on cue one of the workers walked over with a to go bag of their food and drinks. "Have a lovely evening the girl stated smiling at the two of them. Ayaka took the bag happily and looked to Jake. "Okay, now we can go."

Jake waited and looked confused "huh?" he said and saw the worker walk over to them and chuckled a bit "oh" he said as he hugged her and started to walk her home

Quickly she followed him, linking her arm into his and taking his hand. Her tail curled back around him. One hand held the food in it and had her ring on it, Ayaka kept stealing glances at the shimmering piece of jewelery. Her mind still hadn't processed all that was going on.

Jake chuckled as he held her and felt her tail curl around him, he smiled as he quickly kisses her and he unfolded hiw wing to cover her "when we get back we can sit on the sofa and watch a love movie if you want?" he said holding her slightly closer so their hips touched as they walked

"Sounds good to me!" Ayaka said with a grin. "I have to make you dinner first though. Yummy pasta while I eat my fish, then a romantic love movie. 'Kay?" After speaking she curled into him and smiled, his wing around her was keeping her nice and warm. That was until the skies opened up and it began to pour down rain on them. "Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear!" She exclaimed, looking upward.

Jake smiled and she spoke "thats a perfect plan" he said as he kissed her and smiled more, he was one of the only demons to smile, when it began to rain, Jake grumbled a bit and used his wings like a unbrella "and humans say wings are only good for flying" he chuckled and began to walk a bit faster

"Nah, they're good for everything." She smiled and stopped him, gently leaning up and kissing him. "I've always wanted to do that in the rain." Ayaka grinned and kissed him again, not minding if they got a little wet.

Jake turned and kissed her back, he lowered his wings with out know and kissed her more "i really cant wait to get married to you now" he said as he looked up "and now we are wet" he mumbled and smiled "but oh well... it is worth it" he said kissing her again

She laughed and put her arms around his neck. "I love you. So much, you have no idea." Her lips met his again, knowing full well that he probably did know exactly how she felt. As they were kissing her fingers became we and the engagement ring slipped off. As Ayaka noticed she pulled back and chased after it, not realizing she stepped onto the middle of a street to find it until a loud honk sounded just behind her.

(*dramatic music* or a commercial break. Either would work to build susspence :))

Jake was happily kissing her until her ring fell off, he didn't notice it fell off of her finger until she pulled back and chased after it, he watched her and tilted his head "uh..." when he saw the lights of the car and the sound of the honk he froze slightly "... AYAKA!!!" he called out and diving grabbed her out of the way, when they were out of the way and the car had drove off he hugged her tightly "never do that again"

As she looked up when he called her name Ayaka let out a scream. She curled into him, shocked after he grabbed her. "But.. The ring.." She whispered, not sure where it went to. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to lose it." Ayaka whispered crying softly. She wasn't sure why she was crying- he wasn't going to be mad at her. Maybe she was just pushed over the edge by the fact a car almost hit her.*

Jake smiled as he kissed her "the ring can be replaced" he said as a tear fell from his eye "but you cannot be... i thought i was going to loose you" he said and went back to hugging her "promise you will never do anything like that..." he said as tears began to flow from his eyes and glide down his cheeks "...please promise, with out you im nothing"

She looked at him and wiped his tears away. Although she didn't promise anything. Being Neko she always had that chasing after something syndrome. "I guess I don't get my fish either." Ayaka mumbled noticing the soggy wet bag had gotten run over. "You don't have to buy me another ring. It's all my fault that I lost it. I was stupid, I don't deserve a ring. Really I don't deserve someone as kind as you either." Her voice was quiet, and Ayaka was on the verg of tears again.

Jake heard her words and sniffled a bit "you know... i have always thought of going back to hell... but when i met you... i am glad i never did" he said kissing her "as for the ring..." he walked over to the small shiny ring and picked it up "... you shall always deserve a ring" he said giving it to her while kissing her softly "you are my heart and soul, with out you i would be nothing but a true demon"

Her eyes widened slightly as he gave her back the ring. She held it in her hand. Still trying not to cry. "You couldn't ever be a Demon." She whispered touching his chest. "I know you don't believe it, but there is a heart and soul inside of you. Trust me." Ayaka grasped onto him, standing up shakily. "I love you, so much." Her voice trailed off as she leaned into him hugging him tightly. The clothes she had on were soaking wet and almost see through, it was good it was rather dark out.

Jake chuckled slightly "me? soul and heart? look at what i am..." he sighed, he smiled "i love you too, your my world" he said embrasing her hug and kissed her forhead "we should get you home, if you get ill i will never forgive myself" he said as he took her hand and began walking her home "and you should get changed too"

"You can't love without them." She smiled slightly taking his hand. "I won't get sick. Don't worry about me." She whispered looking down at her clothes. "Maybe I shouldn't wear white in the rain anymore.." Ayaka tried to laugh, hoping to lighten the mood. Although she wasn't sure that would work.

Jake chuckled a bit and stopped "im not sure, you look hot to me" he said looking at her "very nice" he said chuckling and continued to walk "i mean it though, you are hot and are nice, your like the girl from any mans dream and for you to love me is a mirical, im the luckiest guy in the world... well... luckiest demon"
