I've never blogged before really, what exactly is the point of it?

Himiko Lamprouge 03-26-2011 03:20 PM

What I get from a blog is just telling random stories that have happened to you. I try to be informative for others at times, but I get a little random.

Like if you like art, you can tell people about it and other artist could follow you and you can learn new things. At least that is why i do it.

I blog about Geek/Gamer fashion. I haven't logged in for a little while though.

I also have a personal blog which is full of . . . anything and everything really. Just somewhere to post my art and things I like.

Himiko Lamprouge 03-26-2011 06:44 PM

There is Geek/gamer fashion!? I have to look this up now! O_O So many things I don't know yet!

jellysundae 03-26-2011 09:35 PM

Just pictures on mine, 99% of which I reblog from other people. Just images that I like.

I tend to stop following people if they start posting a load of personal stuff about their life as I'm just not interested. I just like being able to gather a collection of pretty visuals to look at.

I do find really cool pictures. and I looked up geek fashion and found keyboard flip flops XD I love finding makeup stuff O_O

I've never blogged on Tumblr because I've never really thought of anything that I could talk about all the time or post about frequently, but I do enjoy reading them in my spare time.

I have two Tumblrs but I barely use them. One is about my every day life, and the other is Backstreet Boys-centric.

We've got it going on for years!

I'm not putting my main one out there for privacy reasons, of course.

I blog about my "road to recovery," so to speak. I have been diagnosed with depression and mild anxiety. So, I thought that I could just write about my sessions with my therapist and other things, of course. Really, I just blog about my life, post pictures that I have taken, and really just use it as a place to vent or be creative. It's like a censored, public journal.

Narcotic Dreams 03-27-2011 06:03 PM

I used to be into it but I'd always lack the topics/subjects and plus no one would follow me so I found no real point in it.

NeuzaKC 03-27-2011 06:03 PM

I find tumblr boring. I made one for myself just to see if I could feel the hype, and everyone I've ever come across finds tumblr THE MASTERPIECE OF BLOGGING, but ugh... I prefer Blogger, really. I do occasionally go on a specific tumblr of a girl I met online, but just to look at the pretty gifs.

jellysundae 03-27-2011 09:28 PM

Lol, the gifs people post drive me nuts. I can't stand irritating repetitive stuff

wasabiisweird 03-28-2011 12:26 AM

I do not understand Tumblr whatsoever.
I have tried designing my page on there numerous times, but it ends out coming out really weird, even with my various accounts on there. :l
I GIVE UP!

Knerd 03-28-2011 12:40 AM

I've really fallen in love with Tumblr.

For a couple months I had an account where I just posted my own photography, but that took so much time and work. I ended up boring myself by photographing the same places over and over and over again.

But I didn't want to give up on Tumblr, so now I have an account dedicated to literature and reading: Lit Glutton.
I think it's so much fun. It's a quick, dirty way of blogging that is only as intellectual as you make it. Some people get mind numbing images, others can write novels, and everyone else can get a great balance in between. :)

I think that is a great idea. One day when you are better you can look back and see how you progressed. Not only that personal stories make the best, and more touching stories.

I know how you feel, I went through that during my high school years, and I wrote everyday in a journal. I look back on it now, and I learned that I've grown stronger as a person.

You'll find that you'll grow stronger too, and one day as strange as this sounds you'll be grateful for this hard time in your life, because it will make you the amazing person you will become.

I would love to follow you, and keep up with your story. If you'd let me!

@Knerd: I know what you mean. It is almost like a day-to-day life blog for me, and I love following people lol. I'm going to add you ^_^ look for jackofallbutnone ^_^

@NeuzaKC: I agree it isn't really organized, and i really just do it for fun, and the fact I like blogging. I wouldn't call it amazing, but I do find it fun. Not only that once i get passed all the pornographic things I find some really great artist, writers, and just really great people to learn from.
