"No Ben, I don't want you getting hurt." She said, smiling as he kissed her cheek. She leaned her head on his shoulder. "You hungry? I could make you some brunch once we get back.. then i'll have to take a shower and get ready for work." She groaned, then looked back at him. "But I'll have plenty of time to help you and spend time with you." She said, lacing her hand in his. "How do you feel?"

Benjamin wrapped a arm around her and pulled her close to him. "how about if I help you make brunch." he said to her softly and kissed her head gently. "and I am tough, I dont get hurt that easily." he said as he smiled at her. "and that sounds great." he held her hand close and tightly. "I feel fine Scarlett, it is like nothing ever happened." he said to her softly and kissed her head gently.

She looked towards Ben's mother, wondering what she thought of all their kissing and lovey doveyness. "I know your tough, I'm just worried."She said, taking her phone from her jeans pocket and checking her calendar. "Odd.." She mumbled, quickly shutting her phone. She'd have to ask Ben's mother to take her to the store later as well. " But it did happen, and I'm not going to have you go and get another heart attack just by taking me to work." She said, rubbing his shoulder.

Ma sighed when she saw them kissing and let it go. She and Ben had a very rough few days and now they coudl be happy so she would let them have their fun. Benjamin smiled when he heard her and kissed her head gently, "I know your worried but there is no need to be." he whispered softly. He then looked at her phone, "and what is odd?" he asked as he looked at it and then looked at her. "and I wont have another heart attack by driving. I haven't gotten one from that yet and I dont think I ever will." he said and smiled as she rubbed his shoulder and he held her closer to him.

"Nothing Ben." She smiled. "I know you've never had a heart attack from driving.. but that doesn't mean you won't. " She looked towards Mrs. Winter. "Um... Mrs. Winter, could you possibly take me to the store as well? If not I could walk there.."

Benjamin sighed when he heard her and looked down at her, "I have been driving for a long time with this problem, I will be fine Scarlett." he said to her softly and kissed her head gently. Ma smield and nodded, "yeah, no problem, it is on the way back home so we will be able to stop there no problem." she said and turned down there drive way.

Scarlett smiled and kissed his lips, giving him a hug. Once they parked Scarlett got out and then opened the door for Ben, taking his hand and starting to lead him towards the house. She pushed the car door shut and then led him to the house and inside, then strait to his room. She made him sit down in bed and smirked. "Stay here and i'll make us some food. I know you want to help but please stay in bed.. then once i'm done i'll come in for awhile before I have to go to work."

Benjamin sighed when she made him sit down in bed and looked at her, "fine, but only for today, I am not going to stay in bed any longer." he said as he pulled her into his lap and kissed her gently. He didn't want to be treated like a fragile little child for any longer.

She kissed back and giggled, getting off his lap. "I have to go make you lunch." She said, giving him another kiss before turning and leaving the room. She quickly made them both eggs, bacon, and toast and then went into his room, handing him his plate and then sitting down beside him and taking a bite of her food.

Benjamin smield as eh watched her go and soon she came back with his food. he happily took it and started to eat it happily. Once he was done he kissed her cheek gently and smiled, "that was the best food I have ever eaten." he said as he looked at Scarlett. He wished that she would let him tak eher to work but knew she just wanted to keep him safe.

Scarlett smiled and finished her food, then kissed his cheek. "Okay, I'll just take my shower later.. i'm runnign late so Ineed to go now." She said, kissing him goodbye and then going to her room. She got into her waitress outfit and then went to Mrs.Winters room. "Can we go to the store before you drop me off? I kinda need to get something before my shift.." She said, biting her lip.

Benjamin sighed as he watched her go and knew he wasn't going tomstay in bed all day. He would go crazed ifhe did but he had to wait till scarlett left so he could move. So he forced himself to wait. Ma smiled at Scarlett and nodded, "sure, let me just go and get my keys." she said and soon she had her keys and was ready to go. "now let's go." she said as she smiled at Scarlett and was ready to go.

Scarlett nodded, grabbed her purse and started to head for the door. "Bye Ben!" She called, opening the door and going outside. She then headed towards the car and got in the passenger seat, looking through her purse to make sure she had enough money for what she was going to buy. She counted twenty bucks, knowing that was over enough money so she sat back in her seat, humming softly.

Ma smiled as she got into the car with Scarlett and turned on teh car. She saw her counting her money and looked at her, "so what are you planning on buying anyways?" she asked as she pulled out of the drive way and headed into town. She had no clue as to what scarlett was going to get and wondered if she should lend her some money.

"Oh um.. just some random things." She said, knowing she couldn't tell Ben's mother or she'd be furious. She leaned back in her chair and looked out the window.

Ma looked at her when she heard that and knew that she wasn't going to tell her. As she drove she smiled as she pulled out a few bucks and slipped it into Katies Purse without her knowing. She then smiled as she got to the store and parked the car, "okay, go ahead in and be quick about it." she said as she smiled at her.

Scarlett went into the store and bought two of what she needed, then she came back out with the stuff in her purse so Mrs. Winter wouldn't see it. She didn't need Ben's mother yelling at her or Ben. She leaned back in the seat and looked to Ma. "Ready." She said, smiling.

Ma looked at Scarlett, "are you sure your okay?" she asked as she started to drive away and headed towards the resturant. She wasn't to sure what was going on but she wanted to help. She was apart of her life even if she wasn't to thrilled about it.

"I'm fine.. it's just something I had to get. Just some ingredients for something i'm making Ben tommorow." She said, smiling a little though she lied. "When did you and Pa have Ben?" She asked, looking over at her. "And get married?" She asked, curious since she had never bothered to ask about her and Pa that much.

Ma looked at her and raised a eyebrow. She oculd tell a lie a mile away but she wouldn't ask anymore if she didn't want to have a answer. When she heard her question she thought for a second. "Well when I met pa it was right after high school. We fell inlove with each other and after about a year of dating him I found out I was going to have Ben. When I told him he said he wanted to marrie me and i have been happy ever since." she said and then looked at Scarlett, why do you ask?"

Scarlett frowned. "Was it hard supporting Ben?" She asked softly, her voice cracking a little from wanting to tear up. She looked away. "Oh no reason.. I just never really knew much about my parents.. well my mother anyways. She was too sick to say much, and when I was younger I never wanted to bother her with asking about my father." She said, looking out the window to see if they were close to the diner.

Ma smiled and shook her head, "yes and no, when you raise a child there is hard times and wonderful times. Your with the ones that you love and your happy. But then there is money problems. My parents didnt' help when it came to the money but if anything ever happens with Ben I am going to help." she said and nodded. She then patted her hand when she pulled up to the dinner, "well you have us, even though I was made at you before your still part of the family. When you have a kid it does changes things but never for the bad. It is always for hte good." she said.

Scarlett smiled and went to work. The time flew by and she found out many things that she had been puzzled about. She was a bit nervous to go back to Ben's house after finding out something that could possibly get Ma to kill her. She changed out of her uniform and waited outside for Ben's mother to pick her up. She'd have to start doing a lot more overtime, and working every day possible.

Mas car didn't pull up to pick up Scarlett. Instead a motercycle came and Ben was soon looking at her, "I know your going to be mad but I couldn't help myself. I had to come pick you up." he said as he looked at her and waited to get on. When he saw her face he knew rigt away something was the matter, "okay what is up? I know something is on your mind." he said as he looked at her worried.

Scarlett smiled when Ben pulled up, though she was a bit mad since she didn't want him getting hurt. She got onto the back of the motorcycle and wrapped her arms around his chest, putting her bag on his lap. "Nothing.. i'll tell you as soon as you get better okay? I can't have your heart rate go up or anything so it'll have to wait." She said, leaning her head into his back. "Though were both going to have to start working a lot more.. or at least me anyways." She said, closing her eyes.
