Shiki looked to him and smirked.'we dont die that easyly... when ill you learn that?"
Abby smiled giong over to him."you know ,your pulling the same I did, and you know as well as I do ... that didnt work that well ... so weither you like it or not ... were helping you out as always" |
Xing nodded, still miserable. "Damn it...he probably knew I was in Japan anyway!" He said miserably. "Guess I can only hope he doesn't find out where I'm staying...."
|
Abby smiled some."that house has a protective berrier on it, very strong set there long agao, if someone try to do ill harm to it ... there in for a nasty surprise...',she said calmly.
|
Xing nodded and forced a small smile. "That's good," he said. "Was it placed by the Asakuras?"
|
Abby nodded."yeah it was",she said smiling some.
|
"Then my father may not be able to get through." Xing said. "Now all I have to do is stay holed up in there for the rest of the tournament."
Elliot frowned and placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "You can't run from your problems, Xing." She said. |
Abby nodded."she's right, but no mader what , were all going to stick together...."
|
"Yeah, you've told me." Xing said. "I just...I don't want to see you guys die...."
|
Abby smiled."if you dadnt noticed, im hard to kill"
Shiki smiled."she's got a point there" |
"Yeah, I know..." Xing said. "I just hope I won't have to face him in the Shaman Fight......"
|
Abby frowned at him worriedly."if yo do, we'll be there for you",she said holding up her pinky."i promise..."
|
Xing smiled wanly and took her pinky with his own. "Thanks," he muttered.
|
Abby smiled softly."good"
|
"Now, you done going into emo mode?" Elliot asked.
Xing smiled at her wanly and gave her a small nod. "Hopefully I won't have my next Shaman Fight against him." He replied. "Oh my, I was hoping I wasn't too late." A voice said from the door. Looking around, Xing saw who it was: Faust. "What're you doing here?!" |
Yukina looked to Faust and gave a glare."yes, what areyou doing here, your not welcomed!"
|
"Can't a necromancer be concerned?" Faust asked, his face a mask of innocence.
"Says the guy who put me in the hospital." Xing said icily. |
Abby nodded.'agreeed",she said stubornly."and why would you be concerned anywase?",she asked suspisously.
Shiki looked to Faust as well."what do you want?" |
Faust shrugged. "I would hate to see a girl as strong as you killed in this tournament." He said. He turned to Shiki. "I happened to overhear young Mr. Tao here mention about his father."
"And?" Xing prompted, his voice ice. "And, I have a proposal for you." Faust said with a small smile. |
Abby looked slightly surprised then glared."what kind of proposel could you possibly offer Xing?",Abby said with a scowl.
'And what makes you think either of us would trust you?",Shiki said standing up. |
"A way to be stronger than his father, of course." Faust replied cooly. "Of course, I won't be offering this for free. I believe it would be a good idea to have an...apprentice."
"I'm with Shiki." Xing said. "How do I know I won't end up one of your zombies?" Faust laughed. It sounded weird, to say the least. "I won't do that, since you're asking." He said. "No, I'd much rather have a living apprentice. They're far easier to teach that way." "And how would this make me stronger than my father?" Xing asked. |
Abby glared."why would you even want an aprentace?so they turn out like you? one of you around is enough",she said with a glare.
Shiki looked to Abby worriedly.'Abby try not to get into a fight just yet",he said looking to Xing."id be carefll Xing" |
"Oh, I don't intend him to be like me." Faust said. "What Xing does with the power is his own decision. Once he's finished with his apprenticeship of course."
"Forget it." Xing said. "I don't want to be a necromancer. It might not creep you out, but summoning dead bodies from where they belong isn't something I'm too hot on." |
Abby looked to Xing and smiled then looked to Faust."yeah, the dead should be aloud to rest in peace Faust"
|
"The way I see it, their bodies are useless once their spirits have left--especially when the flesh has rotten away." Faust replied.
"Then why is it you're a dead man walking--literally?" Xing asked. "Because I found a way to bind my soul to my body, even after my death." Faust replied. "And as long as my body is still in use, even if it is dead, it won't rot." |
Abby shivered at the thought.'still its a wrong thing to do"
