Hi, astra, welcome back! We've made quite a few changes over the last few years, so I hope you find the site more compelling than the last time around. If you have any questions about the site or need some help finding your way around, feel free to ask me.

I'm doing pretty good, still learning how to navigate the site and stuff (hence why I was so slow to reply), but enjoying looking around and stuff. The reason why I joined this site way back when is because it's much more geared towards pleasing users than gaiaonline for example, which is entirely geared towards money. ^^;

True that! Of course, sites have to make money to stay operating, but it does get annoying when sites or games are constantly pressuring you to buy stuff and always shoving it in your face. Maybe I'm stubborn, but it makes me want to buy even less. :lol:

and yeah, i do understand the concept of needing money to keep the site running, and i was happy to purchase monthly collectibles when they came out, but making the gaia cash shop with limited time only premium items pressures users into buying cash and buying it now. then there's chance items that encourage people to waste real money on the 'chance' they'll get a good item. and of course it's been made so that normal items can't compare to these premium ones, and thus users who can't afford to spend real-life money are automatically labeled as noobs because their avatars aren't decked out.

yes, the site needs money, but it's still unfair to users how money mongering the site has become. I'm kinda iffy about the money on this site too, but from what i've read of it, it seems like you admins/moderators/important people are keeping a level head about the difference between needing money and screwing your users over.... of course, i can't really afford to buy monies currently anyways. TT^TT

ha ha, that makes me feel a littttttle bit better about it then. ^^;

We have absolutely no interest in being money-grubbers! We'd like to make enough to be able to keep the site running and pay coders and artists to give you all pretty new stuff, though. ;)
