I don't celebrate Easter, but I am getting ready for Beltane.

Beltane, let's see the only thing I can recall is hopeful couples jumping over fires.. XD Tough I know that isn't all there is or was.

Beltane is the fire festival that marks the beginning of the planting season, on May first. There are many ways to celebrate it, but we make flower wreaths, have a 24-hour bonfire lit, make a feast, and have ritual to welcome mother nature back to the cycle of growth.
I don't know, really. She just showed up like nothing was wrong... I don't know what to do, but I hope this gets figured out too. |
I'd probably bungle any wreaths I tried making... Though this now makes me want to try and learn how to make one. It sounds like a good time, and a nice way to welcome spring.
Hopefully just talking things trough will be able to solve what ever problems might have come up. Sounds like something complicated... |
I've got a friend of mine who celebrates Beltane as well...sadly, I'm not going to be there to celebrate with her.
On another note, I looked up an online tutorial to help me draw a dragon I've had in my head for some time. You'd think that someone who can draw so well would be able to draw dragons better..... |
Ooo that reminds me, I wanted to try making up another dragon that isn't black. Because right now I have Onyx and Tempo of that coloring. Lilith is an opal dragon, and Ameraceth is an amethyst.

I'm not the best at them, but Ky has gotten really good at it, she makes wreathes for most of the other Sabbats too.
It is a pretty complicated thing... There isn't much she can do, really, but it's hard on the heart. I pray to get this taken care of quickly and as painlessly as possible. I can't say I've ever had a dragon character before.... Wait, yes I did XD Drakina had a Pern Rp for a bit, and I had a Green Dragon rider. |
Pern! You mean you've read the books too? XD A green! lol I have no clue what coloring I'd get... A queen would be lovely, but a blue would be nice too. Drawback with a queen is the fact that they can't flame...
Where do you find flowers for winter? Or do you use pine branches and that? Just reading about it makes me wince. You must have really liked her at one point. Sorry I probably hit a nerve with that one... |
I love the Pern series, I keep meaning to go back and read more of it. If I remember correctly, My rider was Silthryk and his Green was N'Teira. She was a runt, and super small, but then again, so was Sil XD
We use branches and winter berries for winter solstice/Yule and Imbolc. Hai, the saddest part is, I still do for some reason. My heart isn't very intelligent, I think. It's fine, I have no problems talking about, you haven't over-stepped any lines. |

Those sound very nice. Hearts are silly, I wish mine would stop reminding me of this guy I fell for first year of university. That was a mess in more ways then one... Kind of slightly funny now that I remember it. :D But I think part of that lingering feeling might be because she is Ky's mother, it only makes sense when you factor in that she gave you this daughter that you obviously adore. And just tell me if I do. Cat- I have no clue how you do it. *shakes head* |

They are, we just have to keep the dog from eating the berries.... Hearts are very, very strange things and have a nasty habit of going completely against all logic and preservation of sanity.
