Osanna nodded eagerly. She hadn't picked anything, but she had taken note of where the plants were and how much of each there was.

Yukina blinked again, waiting for introductions.

"This is my best friend Osanna," Naomi said to Yukina. She opened her mouth again to introduce Yukina, when she realized that they'd never exchanged names.

"Good to meet you, Osanna. I'm Yukina." She smiled a little.

Osanna gave her a little wave before looking at Naomi. You two have fun, I'm going to go find Genkai again. She was trotting off before Naomi could stop her.

Yukina blinked. She'd never seen sign language before.

Naomi nodded.

"Have fun," she said to Osanna. Then she turned back to Yukina.

Yusuke growled to himself as he went back up to the temple, Hiei already ahead of him. "I hate demons," he muttered, stopping at the top. "No offense." He glanced over at Kurama.

Osanna blinked and looked up from her happy plant gathering.

Naomi sensed the three getting back and turned to look in their direction. She didn't think they would get back so soon.

"None taken," Kurama replied. "Although, Yusuke, you aren't really one to talk."

"Yeah, yeah," Yusuke grumbled. "I'm only part demon." He grumped as he headed for the temple, and then paused when he spotted Naomi and Yukina. He grinned suddenly, while Hiei stood in a tree and glared death at Yusuke.

Osanna just blinked and carefully tucked another leaf into her little cloth bag of plants.

Naomi saw them and grinned.

"Look, I made a friend," she said cheerfully. "Though I'm not entirely sure where Ed and Al wandered off to."

Ed and Al had been exploring around the temple most of the day, and happened to walk back right as she said that. "We're here," Ed grumbled.

Osanna waved briefly to them all before returning her attention to her plants.

Yusuke snickered. "Yeah, I see you met Yukina. You know she has a long-lost brother?"

Hiei glared even more at the idiot detective.

"I heard," Naomi replied. She glanced at the others, and caught the glare that Hiei was sending at Yusuke. She paused for a second. An idea was trying to form in her mind, but somehow, she didn't think she had all the pieces. She paused. Wait a second... She looked from Yukina to Hiei and back, in slight disbelief. There was no way...

Speak one word of those thoughts to anyone and you will regret it for the least of your life, Hiei said in her mind, his Jagan glowing faintly under his headband. Which will, I assure you, be very short.

That made Naomi nearly jump out of her skin. She hadn't been expecting that one at all.

Al blinked when Naomi suddenly flailed a bit. That was random.

Ed blinked a few times, knowing he'd missed something. Something big, from Hiei's smirk as he settled down to sit in the tree. But he didn't quite dare to ask.

Osanna blinked and moved over to Naomi, rather worried.

"I'm okay," Naomi said when she saw Osanna's concern. "I think. Really, I'll be fine. Minor epiphany, nothing important."

Osanna nodded uncertainly, still watching her. She glanced at Hiei, trying to figure out what just happened.

Naomi just shook her head.

"Really, we'll talk about it later," she said.

Osanna still looked confused but nodded her acceptance. Yukina, who had gone inside, popped her head back out.

"Dinner is ready if you're hungry," she offered with a smile.

"Sweet!" Yusuke jumped at the chance to get food, heading inside.

Naomi nodded and went inside.

Al grinned. Dinner sounded wonderful after wandering around all day. He didn't hesitate in pushing his brother through the door when Ed didn't immediately move.

Ed followed everyone else over to go get food, rather hungry himself.

Osanna just picked at her food, frowning a little, while the others ate.

Kurama noticed that Osanna seemed uneasy, but wasn't sure how to ask tactfully what was wrong.

Naomi, on the other hand, had no such problems. While she didn't know complicated sign language, she was fluent enough in finger-signing, and could spell out words with relative speed. She nudged her friend.

You okay?

Yeah, Osanna said after a moment. Just tired, I guess. Kinda stressful switching worlds. She shrugged and sat down, starting to eat.

Yusuke and Ed both enjoyed their dinners greatly and got seconds.

No kidding, Naomi replied. Her fingers stumbled slightly over the letters. It had been a while since she'd used finger-signing. I'm kind of pleased I found someone similar to me, though. Similar enough, at least.

Osanna couldn't help but beam. That's great! You two should have lots of fun.

Naomi grinned slyly.

Like you and your fox-buddy? she teased. She couldn't help that one.
