Johnny stepped back and put his hands on his hips as he admired his handiwork. The flowers were well-arranged thanks to his flowering arrangement extra-curricular activities back in high school. He was pretty much an all-around type of guy, which makes him useful especially when Matthias has his clothes lying around. He just wasn't sure if Matthias was taking advantage of him or not though but he was pretty sure it was the first.
The man, despite his social status, can barely take care of himself and acted much like a kid. And, speaking of 'a kid', he turned to see the father and son he had met not very long ago and smiled at the sight of the father occasionally leaning over to wipe the food off of his son. Supposing both Rio and Sho can take care of the plates and utensils, he decided to give them a little greeting. "Enjoying yourselves?" he asked with a gentle smile, directed mostly toward the kid who was holding a rather big stuffed toy. The stores except the coffee shop were closed so there really wasn't much to do in the lobby. The front desk clerks are not to report until tomorrow either. "And, that's a very big stuffed toy. Does he or she have a name?" Johnny stood by the table, with his hands behind his back - it was the usual position he was in even when he wasn't standing by Matthias' side. |
Van was surprised to see the distinguished-looking male appearing out of from before, especially the one that Tai played a prank on. Taking a minute to put a name to face, Van finally remembered. "Ah, you're Johnny Romero, if I remember correctly? We apologise for before, Mister Romero. Aren't we, Tai?" Looking at his all smiling son, and wiping off another chocolate moustache. In response, Tai looked up at the taller man from before. "I'm sorry, Mister Romero..." Tai apologised from his spot hugging Masher tightly.
However that all changed when the topic switched to Masher. "Un. His name is Masher and he's Squishy!" To prove his point, Tai gave the rotund toy a hug to which the toy was compressed before going back to its previous roundness. Dusting the crumbs off of Masher, Tai beamed up at the taller man, hugging the toy closer to him. "So Mister Romero, it seems everyone is helping for the party. So, is there anything we can do?" Van asked, finishing his milk coffee and wiping his mouth. He also wiped the last bits of the snack from Tai's face, waiting for the male's response. |
Johnny wasn't expecting the two to apologize. It only made him give them a gentle smile. "Please, call me Johnny." He chuckled lightly and reached out to pat the boy's head, "And, it's all right. I'm just glad it was done to me and not to him." If it were Matthias, he was sure he'd be trying to find ways to make the poor father pay more for the room. Matthias did have a childish streak in him; he'd try to return the favor even if it's a prank or two.
"It's nice to meet you, Masher," Johnny said with a grin and blinked for a second before laughing again. The stuffed toy, indeed, was cute. Surely, Matthias' niece and nephew would ask their uncle for one if they'd see this. And, the boy's like a carbon copy of his dad, the man thought before he'd turned his attention to Van when he'd asked him that question. The man looked like he was deep in thought. The food was going to bed ready on time. The rain might let up later on late in the evening and their fireworks would be set up around eleven in the evening. Was there something the father and son could do? His eyes lit up when an idea crossed his mind and he smiled again at the two. "Well, there is one thing you two can do." Before giving any of them a chance to reply, the man gave a little grin. "How about helping me set up the Christmas tree? We can get the gifts later on once it's all set-up." |
Tai smiled widely when the taller man, rubbed his head like his dad does. That and he really like people rubbing his head. Upon hearing the male mention decorating a Christmas tree, Tai's eyes twinkled with joy and was fidgeting in his seat in excitement. "Oh can we Daddy? Can we? Pleeease?" Tai couldn't wait to actually decorate a Christmas tree, it was much better than exploring the big place and not only that he could do what he wanted without his sister tease him. And hopefully since the apartment was rather big, there'll be a big Christmas tree like those he see at the shops. And decorating those would be absolutely fun, so Tai couldn't wait.
"Sure. We have nothing to do and sitting in our rooms for hours can be rather boring." By the time Van had let the a-okay known, Tai was jumping out his seat and letting out a happy 'Yey!'. Van got out of his seat, chuckling a little at his son's excitable antics. Well, it wasn't all that surprising since Tai had some sweets but then again, it could be from decorating the tree. Getting up from his seat, Van dusted himself off before facing the (indeed) taller male. "Lead the way, Johnny." Tai went over to hold his daddy's hand, still fidgeting and jumping with excitement, barely containing it. In fact, from the looks and size of his smile, which could split his face in two, the little clone was going to burst from happiness. |
Sho smiled when he spotted Rio. Rio seemed to be a jovial type, and they were one of his favorites kinds of people to hang around. Happiness was infectious after all. "Yes. He took some medicine and he was just getting to sleep when I left. I'm no doctor, but I'm sure he'll be just fine."
"Is he really in a bad mood?" Sho jokingly asked with a peer at Johnny. No, Johnny looked a bit to much like a man Sho used to have a crush on. It was probably better if he didn't spend the rest of the evening blushing or thinking of his unrequited love. "I think I better tag along with you then. It looks like you got a lot done already, though I'm sorry I didn't do a lot of the job that I volunteered for." |
As he gazed up at the other, he smiled softly before nodding with a teasing smirk. “Well that is true” Sage murmured before nodding again in agreement. “He’s a very cute Iguana, although I think he took a liking to my shirt” He laughed quietly. “He’s lucky the fabric doesn’t tear easily” With a teasing chuckle, Sage lowered his gaze, staring at Roy thoughtfully before looking away, pretending not to notice as the lizard gradually moved closer.
When he finally felt the tapping of the bowl, Sage glanced down, slowly lifting a hand to run his finger down the lizard’s spine as he picked out a piece of vegetable to place on the floor for Roy to eat. Once he had waited for him to eat it, he carefully lifted up the Iguana, standing to carry him gently to his tank and setting him carefully inside it. “There we go, safe in your tank again” He smiled warmly before glancing over to Matthias. “Did the food arrive?” |
Johnny watched the conversation between the father and the son and chuckled along Van at the boy's reaction to his father's reply. "All right then," he said as he smiled at Van. He wasn't very tall. He was a head taller than Matthias and Matthias, well, stood about the height around past five foot eight inches. "Right this way if you will." The male motioned toward the elevator.
Leading the two to the storage room in the fourth floor, just beside Matthias' room, he unlocked the door with a key and left the door open. The room had the scent of old papers and boxes. It was dark and dry, too. Feeling for the wall on his right, he flickered the light on. "There we go." It was an incandescent bulb that hung at the center of the small room. Boxers were piled one after the other and stacks of papers were set at the corner, near the door. It took a while for him to find the said boxes as he surfed through them and a series of sneezes and excuse me's had left him. The place was a little dusty; it could use some cleaning but it never was wanted to be touched at by Matthias himself. He put out five big boxes and one small one. The small one, of course, were the Christmas decorations. The big ones were the Christmas tree. They may not be using a real one but it was close to it at least. "We need to put these in the elevator." Taking out a couple of keys from his pocket, he held this out in front of Tai. "Little junior, do you think you can stick this into the keyhole and turn it to the right so the elevator doors would be left open?" He gave a gentle smile to the boy. "Your father and I will bring the boxes into the elevator. Can you do that for uncle Johnny?" - - - Rio nodded at that. "Goo'. Guy looks like he 'as abou' ta die." The man bellowed out a laughter and motioned for Sho to come follow after him. He led the way to the parking area in the basement again to open the back of the truck and pull out a box. He handed this to Sho and took his own fair share. Easily tucking and holding it in one arm, he shut the trunk. "Plates are a lot heavier. Ya okay, Sho?" - - - Matthias blinked at the sound of someone surfing through something in the room just beside his own. Must be Johnny, he thought as he turned to look back at Sage. When he'd heard what he had to say about Roy liking his shirt, he sighed and shook his head as he scratched the back of his head. "One of the many quirks of that lizard," he told the other with a nod and smiled when he'd seen how Sage was handling Roy. It looked like the man had, indeed, taken a liking to his pet. That was good. Then, perhaps Sage wouldn't mind coming to feed his iguana some time when he or Johnny wouldn't be able to pass by until late in the morning? "Huh? Oh. Yeah. It did." Matthias sighed again and rubbed the back of his neck as he put his free hand on his hip. "Honestly, this rain is just against me and my plans of putting on a fireworks display for Christmas." |
With a light laugh at Matthias’ comment, he shook his head a little. “It’s sweet, and there was no damage done, so just this time I’ll hold no grudges” Sage smirked over to Matthias, reaching in to lightly stroke the lizard’s head before he turned, crouching down at the same time. Picking up the bowl, he headed back to the tank and carefully placed the food beside Roy so the Iguana could continue eating.
Peering over his shoulder to Matthias, he smiled lightly. “That’s good! One less thing for you to worry about now” He smiled, turning round to face the other properly, his arms folding over his chest. With another smile, he shook his head, glancing out of the window thoughtfully. “You shouldn’t get too worked up Matthias, too much stress can make you ill..And besides, I think the rain will let up in time for the fireworks” He answered with a quiet, warm tone. |
"N-nn..." Claus blushed once more, his arms wrapping around the other's neck. To his surprise, he found that he was also returning the kiss, his eyes gently closed. It felt...nice...it didn't last long, however, as he was soon out of breath. "A-ah..." he gasped, his breath slightly elevated...
|
Sho followed Rio back down to the garage where they returned to the truck from before. Rio handed him a box of plates. It was quite heavy, heavier than the food anyway. Rio of course lifted his with ease. When asked if he was ok, he said, "I'll be alright. We don't have to go too far. I'm a little jealous though," he said quite honestly, "You're a lot stronger than I am."
|
Eroke smiled, continuing the sensitive deed..."Tired already? How droll..." he let out a playful growl and softly petted Claus's cheek.
In the corner,Kenny barked, as if to say, "Oi. No hanky-panky,you two..." |
Todd pulled his luggage through the double doors of the hotel lobby. The bottom one had wheels and so he had piled his other bags on top so high he couldn't see over it. Of course that wasn't too hard since he looked like he was ten with his small stature, and not the almost 18 that he was. The bags kept threatening to topple as well, never mind the weight. Carefully he moved his way toward the elevator, debating if it was indeed a good idea to live on the top floor. he liked high places however, some would tease that he was trying to make up for something and they were probably right. He was overly sensitive about his stature and had even gotten into a few fights over it.
But now that he could leave the house, he was going to do so and happily. Living on his own would be another way to show that he too was an adult, not some puny kid. First he would have to make it to his new apartment though. |
Both Van and Tai followed the male to the elevator, Tai barely being able to contain himself, humming a little tune to calm himself although, to Van it seemed to fuel his son's excitement. Chuckling a little to himself, Van pushed his son forward, snapping the little boy out of his daze when the elevator stopped at the floor that Johnny desired.
Once in the storeroom, Tai stepped closer towards Van, coughing a little when a little bit of the dust he accidentally inhaled tickled his chest. Van sneezed a little when the same dust tickled his nose. "Bless you daddy." Tai responded automatically when he heard Van sneezed giggling a little at the sound of it. Mumbling a thanks to his son, Van looked for a light switch but Johnny beat him to it. Again, when the distinguished male shuffled through a few boxes and papers, sending all males in the room into a fit of sneezes and coughs. Tai recovered quickly and looked to see some keys floating in front of his face. Listening carefully to the older male, Tai beamed happily and nodded vigorously. "Okay Uncle Johnny!" Smiling widely, Van ruffled his son's hair before turning to the male. "So will we be moving the five boxes one by one, Johnny? Or do have another suggestion?" |
Johnny smiled at Tai's reply and turned to look back at Van when he'd asked those questions. "I was thinking moving the boxes one by one," he said with a nod before he'd turned to look to the side. He would've had asked for Matthias' help but he's been stressed enough. At least, he looked like it the last time he'd seen him. If anything, he'd like to prevent that from getting any worse.
Once the boy was off, that was the time Johnny had picked a box up. It was a lot heavier than he'd expected. Putting the box down and crouching by it, he peeked inside and quietly sighed. The trunk. Of course, this box would be heavy. Deciding to get over it though, the man stood back up and ran his fingers through his wavy hair before he'd bent down to pick it up. Adjusting it with the help of his leg and knee, he started to make his way out to put his first box into the elevator. - - - Rio blinked and chuckled. "All ya nee' ta do is practice!" he said with a firm nod and grinned. Making his way to the elevator and holding the door out for Sho while he rested the box on his leg he'd lifted to hold it up, he made sure to hold it with his other arm. Breaking plates was something he'd like to avoid for sure. It'd be a pain in the ass to go back and get more of the plates. That, and he'd probably have to hear it from his five other boys who'd stayed with and worked for him for quite some time now. The man only followed in once he was sure Sho was. - - - Matthias knew that. Johnny has been telling him to relax when it came to such times but he couldn't. At least, it was hard to. "I can only hope," he mumbled with a frown marring his features before he'd went back to the kitchen to get himself a glass of water. He'd also prepared one for Roy just in case he'd want some water before he'd sleep with a full stomach. "By the way," he started as he'd turned to look back at Sage, "I think Johnny and the others are making the Christmas tree." He knew that sound from the storage room just beside his room. That should be him and some other who had volunteered to help. |
Beyond grumbled down stairs to himself. He could tell he was down stairs by all the noise. How he had managed to do it was beyond him. Donny showed up and helped him with the kitten then sent him down stairs. Donny sometimes forgot he was blind though and sent him with out Max. This wasn't good. He could hear really well and was able to dodge people by sound by what about quite places. He needed Max. A couple of people gave him funny looks because he was sitting in the middle of the floor but Beyond couldn't see them.
|
"Uh huh, but I'm far to lazy to practice," was Sho's reply. He followed Rio to the elevator and thanked him for holding it open as he walked inside. He wondered how many times he had ridden the elevator that day, probably more than he had ever ridden elevators in his entire lifetime.
"So," Sho said, trying to keep his focus off the heavy box in his arms, "How long have you been working in town here? You've got a nice place by the looks of it. Except for the flooding, of course." He added with a joking smile. |
Tai was off, with both the keys and Masher as he went into the elevator to do what Uncle Johnny had told him to do. Looking for the key hole for the key he was currently holding onto to, Tai was struggling since there were three keyholes. Deciding to try each one with the designated key, Tai was giggled very happily when he got the right one, before turning it right. About to go off leaving the key where it was, Tai soon remembered what use to happen when his Daddy usually forgets his keys when he was with Mummy.
'VAAAAN! Why did you left the key inside the keyhole? What if someone were to steal it?! They can get into our house and mess things up! Or worst steal our things!' echoed his mummy's angry voice. Not wanting someone to steal the key, since it wasn't his or daddy's but Uncle Johnny's. Not wanting to get in trouble, Tai stayed behind to 'guard the key as it were. But he needed to tell Uncle Johnny and his daddy about the door. Soon though Tai had a good idea. So sitting where he was, Tai opted for what every kid did from time to time. Tai went for screaming. "UNCLE JOHNNNNY! DAAAAADDY! THE KEY IS INSIDE!!!!" Soon, Tai closed his mouth, feeling very satisfied with himself and stayed where he was hugging and hiding behind his big round dragon. Giggling cheerily all the while. ----------------------------------- "Are you sure you don't need help with that?" But Johnny was handling the heavy load quite well by himself, so Van busied himself with picking the other loads. Hearing Tai use, what Van dubbed, his tantrum voice, Van winced a bit as he picked up his load before heading towards the elevator along with Johnny. Placing the box into the elevator, Van spotted the bright blue plush toy Bobbing down to see Tai hiding behind it with a happy smile. Shaking his head little, charmed by Tai's contagious smile, Van shifted the toy a bit to see Tai's face better. "Tai, try not to scream. We're not in a house any more. We're living with other people now." Van said gently, nudging his son up to standing. Tai looked up aghast, his idea was a good one! And his daddy wasn't appreciating it. Although, now that Tai thought about it, he and his daddy were living in a small house with other people in small houses in a bigger house. Now his idea before wasn't so great. "But Mummy said someone takes keys to mess things or steal things! I don't want anyone to take Uncle Johnny's keys...." Tai replied, looking down at Masher mumbling the last part, toeing the floor with the tip of his shoes all the while. |
Gabriel was sitting on his couch in his apartment. He was waiting on a Red Velvet Cake that was in his oven and would be ready to come out at any moment. The boy flipped through the channels on his small tv that was donated to him. There was nothing on, nothing good anyways and he was all too excited to finish up his baking and get ready for the party that would be starting in about 3hours.
When the oven timer went off, Gabriel got up and opened the door, grabbing a hot pad and pulling the pan out. he then grabbed a toothpick, sticking it in the middle of the cake and pulling it out again to see that there was not cake particles sticking to it. he smiled and flipped the pan over and pulled the cake out of it to let it cool down quickly. the smell of delicious cake was leaking it's way out of the bottom of his apartment door, filling the hall way. Jack's alarm went off for the 5th time and the man looked at his phone grumbling. He turned off the alarm and laid back down only to stare at the ceiling. He yawned and stretched and got up, walking out of the bedroom into his kitchen and grabbed and AMP energy drink. The man drank half the can before setting it down and getting into the shower. Once he finished, he got into some skinny jeans and sweater that seemed to have two layers. the top being black with large cuts in it, showing the under layer that was a beautiful blue. He skipped on combing his hair for the time being and went out to finish his drink and grab a bagel. he ate his breakfast in four bites and walked back into his bathroom. He combed his hair only to put molding gel in it and mess it up again. Jack put a couple rings on and gave himself a quick glance over and when he decided he looked great, he stepped out and proceeded to the lobby. |
Alice slept rather peacefully most likely due to the medicine. It would probably be a few hours before he woke up. He twitched slightly and rolled over. Murring something softly under his breath in his sleep to the otherwise empty room. He shivered a little and snuggled a bit deeper into his lush blankets. Getting comfortable again and slipping into a more restful sleep almost immediately after. Alice's sleep was rather dreamless, it was too deep and restful to harbor dreams.

Todd had somehow managed to get to the elevator and relieved he eagerly pushed the button for the elevator to come down and get him. He could just see the arrow above the elevator sliding doors. He would be happier once he was able to settle his bags. Now was the time to show his family what he was made of, that he was strong and not some fragile little teddy bear.
|
Jack was in the elevator on his way down. He held another energy drink in his hand and was sipping it so that it would last him longer than the other drink he had when he woke up. The elevator got to the bottom floor and the doors opened. Just before he stepped out, he noticed a cute boy standing somewhat in his way holding a few bags. Jack looked the boy over quickly and smiled.
"Hey, do you need help?" he asked, hopping that the other would say yes. Jack's seen some cute boys out there but this one seemed to catch his fancy. ((Gabriel will be in next post)) |
Beyond rubbed the back of his head once the woman was gone. Some lady that was most likely visiting a relative had noticed him sitting in the middle of the floor and tried to lecture him. Beyond in return insulted her and got hit with a purse. It was worth it though. Beyond felt around a bit and just knew he was getting odd stares from people in the lobby. He finally found a chair and lifted himself from the ground. He needed Maxamillion. Beyond groaned and walked toward the desk. He had memorized this spot and how to get to the desk from there. He was irritated now. He found a bell however and pushed it a numerous amount of times. It was childish but it helped his mood.
|
Todd paused when he heard the voice of the Elevator occupant. he paused thinking if it would be unmanly to accept help and yet he had obviously just come down.
"uhm I'm sure you have something else to do, I think I can manage though." He said a little nervously. he looked over the other man. He was tall and very cool looking. A little punk or goth in style but he wasn't sure. he decided It might be fun to draw him though, he liked the angles of his face. Realizing what he was thinking he blushed a little. |
Johnny smiled at Van as he stepped out the elevator. The question the man asked him told him enough that the man cared. "Thank you for asking, Van." It was all he'd said before he'd turned to look at the boy who had shouted out loud to tell him about the key. Chuckling lightly at the conversation between the father and the son, he decided to make the little boy see his appreciation.
Kneeling down on one knee in front of Tai, he gave him another charming smile as he reached out to put his hand on his head. "You did a good job, Tai," he said, his voice soft as he moved his hand down to the boy's cheek to give it a little pat. "Uncle Johnny appreciates what you did." The man slowly got up back to his feet to dust off his pant leg and turned to look at Van. "Shall we continue putting the boxes into the elevator?" he asked as he made his way back to the room. - - - Rio let out another boisterous laugh and a bright grin. "Far longer than ya havin' learned ta walk, tha's for sure." The man leaned against the elevator walls and shook his head. "My place wasn't like that before." |
Tai preened himself on having been praised by Uncle Johnny, hugging his plushie tightly to hide half his face he was sure donning a slight red blush. He looked up to his daddy with an all-knowing gleam in his eye, "I told you soooo!" Tai cooed happily, rocking himself on the balls of his feet and heel, alternating every so often, beaming brightly up at his daddy. Van chuckled ruffling Tai's hair, letting the boy bask in his glory of pulling a fast one over him. Since Van was rather use to moving things, since he had been doing a few hours ago, Van rolled his shoulders to relax them a bit, knowing that he was going to be sore tomorrow since it has been awhile since he had exercised what with the move and divorce proceedings, for the past few weeks.
"Of course. Tai do you want to stay here and guard Uncle Johnny's keys?" Van asked the little miniature of himself, who was blissfully still in his state of gloating. Tai nodding vigorously, throwing Masher up and catching the big ball of blue, standing in front of the keyhole, like the bodyguards in some of the spy books his daddy reads to him sometimes. Van chuckled once again, charmed by his son's antics. Van was grateful that he got at least one good thing out of his marriage which was Tai, his bundle of joy and happiness. Walking out of the elevator and into the musty storage room to help Johnny with his party preparations. After another set of sneezes, to which Van mentally noted to go to a doctor about taking an allergy test, Van bent down to take another box that contained another part of the tree.Whilst being mindful not to hit anything in the storage room or damage the big box in his arms in case there were some important items in the room. |
