Johnny only smiled as he watched the man leave after handing him his luggage. He, of course, only stood where he was while he glanced back and around the place. Three seemed to have gone up to the elevator, to a tenant's room, he was guessing. He was just about to keep his gaze on the moving light as the elevator got from one floor higher to another when the pet cat of Zero had started to do what she was doing. Of course, he didn't dislike cats nor did he like them. Pets were a neutral thing to him. Sometimes, he'd even be the one asked to take care of his boss' iguana.
"I hope you aren't leaving any of your fur on my pants," he said gently as he smiled charmingly at the cat again and reached out to rub the underside of its chin. Moving to scoop her up with his free arm, he looked up at Zero and put on his charming smile a third time for him. "Your owner's back, little cat." |
"Awa..." Claus gazed in amazement, slightly jealous as well, but not for the same reasons, of course. Claus did well to keep his apartment clean and tidy, but...he was rather amazed. It looked so formal and inviting, rather than his. His wasn't the opposite, it just would've been overwhelming, considering the mass amounts of bright velvet and stuffed animals...
The smell was also favorable. Claus's room has the scent of a neatly kept apartment and a draft of fruit. Justice's had the simple aroma of a place lived in...the young man didn't know why but he so loved that scent... |
Sage didn’t see Alice’s annoyed expression in his eyes, however he did smile cheerfully as he was handed the papers. Glancing up to his friend, he smiled faintly, glad Alice seemed to be relaxing a little more around the others. It put him more at ease and meant Sage could concentrate better on the paperwork Matthias had handed to him.
With a slight frown, he bit his lip in thought before grimacing slightly. “Just curious, how many of these sort of things do you have Matthias? I pity you having to deal with just these, let alone any more!” With a soft chuckle, he brushed hair back from his face. “Do you ever get any sleep?” |
Matthias blinked as he turned his gaze to Sage. He had almost forgotten about the folders until he'd been reminded by the man. "A lot," he assured the other with a nod and a sigh. Running his fingers through his hair again, he pursed his lips and shook his head. "Not really, no. I'm even lucky getting an hour's rest. Reading isn't really my thing and Johnny's not the type to bend to my every whim." The male pointed at Sage. "So, I'll be leaving the reading to you while you bring up some keypoints for us to discuss."
If Matthias had someone to read the documents and summarize them for him, he'll be sure that whoever it was, he/she will have a hard time dealing with him. He'd often be found sleeping on his desk to which Johnny enjoyed hitting or tickling to wake him up. |
Isis just meowed in reponse to the fur statement.
When Zero saw saw that smile once again his slight frown went away, once in hearing range he asked "Oh, hope she didn't give you any trouble?" Zero took out his key card that he had put in his pocket on the way back to his truck. "Fifth floor right?" It took some time for him to notice his cat was in the others arms. "You don't have to hold her, here I'll take her" he said as he reached for his cat. (( Sorry! D; Don't know what to say! )) |
Eroke looked around the room, watching Claus's response with a slightly covetous expression on his face...
"Shall I make the tea? I brought Japanese green tea, citrus, berry, earl grey, and white." he asked, trying to push the envy out of his mind... |
Johnny shook his head a bit. "Not at all," he said as he gave the cat a little rub with the tip of his index finger, "She's quite the friend." Following after him to the elevator, he gave the cat a small smile and then handed her to Zero. Who was he to take a pet away from its owner? "Yes, the fifth floor and I didn't mind holding her." The secretary of Matthias held the door open for Zero while he carried the bag in just after Zero had gone in. Pressing the fifth floor button, he only let go of the doors when he was sure no one else was going to join them up to their ride.
|
Isis' purr was quite audible when Johnny gave her one last rub before handing her over.
"Ah.." was all Zero said in response, then said "It would seem she likes you alot". After Johnny had pushed the button Zero mentioned "I don't believe you told me your name...?" looking at the other for awhile until the doors closed. In the short wait time it took for Johnny to reply he thought about how the Gonrei Apartment Complex looked. Even with the dreary heavy downfall it seemed to loom brightly over all the other buildings in the area which is quite surprising. "How long have you worked here if you don't mind me asking?" Zero asked as the Elevator finally reached it's final destination. Once the doors were open he quickly moved out of Johnny's way so he too could come out and point to exactly where his room was. While waiting for Johnny, Zero looked down the hall to see how many rooms they had on this floor. |
At the sound of Japanese tea, Claus pounced upon Eroke. Quite literally, at that. "You has Nihon tea???" he asked rather loudly, his face having the expression of upmost intent. He, again, adored all things Japanese, even though he was (fairly) certain he came from Germany. The tea wasn't as exquisite there...
"Please tell me you do...~" |
"She's rather friendly," he started before he'd smiled again and reached out to give her a little rub behind her ear. Surprise was apparent on his face when he'd heard the question and he'd raised his eyebrows a little before his smile turned rather sheepish. "It's Johnny Romero. Please, call me Johnny, sir." When the elevator doors had opened after the announcement that they had arrived the fifth floor, he held the doors open for Zero and stepped out after him. "We have four rooms on every floor and your room is this way..."
The man made sure he kept a pace that Zero could follow. There was a hallway after the elevator that stopped in the center for an intersection, an X, that led to four different rooms with short other hallways and gold-plated numbers on the doors. It was like this in every floor. "Room XIII." Motioning to the golden-plated room number, he stepped aside for Zero to slide the key card in and held out his hand to take Isis from him. "I'll hold her for you," he offered with a polite, kind smile. |
Justice walked over to them, a silver teapot with hot water standing on a silver tray that he sat down aside of the cups. "White tea... Wow. I haven't had that in quite some time. I would like a cup of that one, if you don't mind." He leaned back in one of his favorite chairs, his cat purring into his neck. Justice couldn't help but to notice Claus' and Eroke's reactions to his apartment. Though he didn't consider it amazing, something about it obviously was.
|
Sage raised an eyebrow slightly before he grimaced a little. “And you don’t have anyone helping you normally with this stuff?” Shaking his head, he smiled faintly to the other. “Why not let me help you more often with this stuff? That way you’ll get more than an hour’s rest, then you can enjoy stuff like the party tonight even more” He suggested, glancing down at the papers again.
Personally, Sage found it a shock that someone didn’t enjoy reading. He had always loved books, although with the parents and grandparents he had had, it was unlikely he wasn’t going to like to read. As he continued reading through the papers, he grimaced again. “A lot about finance, stuff you’ve bought, things that need your signature...Not much is very important though” He grimaced slightly. |
"I'm afraid not," he said with a slight chuckle before he'd leaned back in his seat. Letting out a quiet sigh, he was just about to move his gaze to see who was in the lobby when the other had asked that question. It had him turning to look at him in surprise. "Why, you're very kind." Matthias gave him a smile. "Perhaps it's that patience of yours that makes you a great teacher." Pausing for a few seconds when he'd heard his next words, he frowned and leaned over to see which of the papers he was talking about.
Humming thoughtfully, he leaned back again on the chair and tilted his head a bit. "No debts, hopefully?" he asked as he put the paper back to their stack and raised his eyebrows a bit. "Does that mean all I have to do is sign? No need to reject anything?" |
Eroke smiled and nodded. "That's what I said." he leaned down to his dog, made a few clicking noises, and gave him a snack. The dog yapped and ran off, with a panting smile.
"Alright. He's on his way to get the tea." |
"Johnny it is then! It may be your job, but don't mind me if I do say that you are truly kind." He said handing over Isis to Johnny, then reached for his key card to slide it inside of the mechanism at the door he took him to. Room XIII it was, and he didn't know what to expect, so when he opened that door it was quite pleasing to see. "Ah, you guys have such wonderful accommodations." Zero stepped inside to place his suit case in the living, helped Johnny with the rest of his things.
|
Johnny blinked when he was called 'kind'. That was quite pleasing to hear and he wasn't able to stop himself from having his polite smile turn to a gentle one. Rubbing the cat's chin with his index finger, he carried what he could inside Zero's place. "We only give the best," he started before he'd put Isis down to have her explore her new surroundings, "If you need anything from the administration, please feel free to contact the front desk with the phone and by pressing zero. To your right is your bedroom and bathroom while to your left is your kitchen and dining room. A laundry room can be installed as well if you'd prefer it. It should be the door beside the pantry in the kitchen."
|
"Alright thank you Johnny, I appreciate the help. And I'm sure my cat Isis is thankful as well...one more thing if you don't mind. Is there some sort of Christmas Event about to happen in the lobby or is that just decorations?" Zero thoughtfully inquired as he looked around to the right and left of him. He was already figuring out where to put some of things her brought as he looked. Once he was done surveying the room, he look at Isis for a moment. It surely took her no time to find her way to the bedroom. Zero then looked back to Johnny for his reply.
|
Johnny looked a little surprised. Was the other not aware that Christmas was just around the corner? Scratch that. It's a couple of hours away. "Yes," he replied with a little chuckle, "Hopefully, the rain stops for the fireworks. I believe it'd be quite a sight once you see it." The man smiled charmingly again. He really was gorgeous with his smile on. Turning to look about the room, he noticed that the cat had gone. Romero looked over Zero's shoulder and raised his eyebrows a bit. His charming smile turned to one of amusement.
"Isis was her name, wasn't it? It looked like she'd made herself at home." Moving his gaze back to Zero, he met his gaze with his own blue pair. "Do you need any more help, sir Xanabar?" |
He shook his head in mild disbelief. “Forgive me for saying so, but that’s really not a sensible idea. Insomnia or lack of sleep can lead to multiple illnesses and even possible death.” Sage chuckled faintly as he recalled his own family giving him a similar lecture a year after his son’s death. Sage hadn’t slept the entire year and it was only after he’d collapsed in the middle of a super market from exhaustion that he actually went to get help. Now Sage slept fitfully most nights.
Tilting his head to the side, Sage let out a light laugh at the other’s words. “I’m afraid patience like mine comes from a lot of hard work and years of training, it’s not for the faint hearted” He joked lightly before nodding slightly in agreement. “Although it does make dealing with unruly children a lot easier”. Still smiling, he leant over, peering at the papers again before shaking his head. “No debts, despite the amount of paperwork here, it seems you’ve kept up with all possible debts, and nothing to reject as far as I’m aware, everything just needs your signature” |
"Oh," was the only word Matthias can bring himself to say when he'd heard what Sage had to say about the lack of sleep. He moved his gaze back to the cappuccino he have in his hands and shifted to lean back on the chair while rubbing the side of the cup lightly with his thumb. He hadn't ever thought of that at all. In fact, his doctor told him he was fine minus the fact that he often had low blood pressure because of his lack of sleep. When he'd heard his next words, he lifted his gaze again to look at Sage. Somehow, those words of his made him chuckle and smile.
Unruly children? Well, the world would be too boring if there weren't any unruly children at all. Taking a sip of his drink, he took his pen again and twisted it a little to have the tip of it come out and leaned close to Sage to sign the papers. Once he was done, he let out an exhausted sigh and crossed his arms over the table before groaning. "Finally," he mumbled, "If only Romero was as kind as you to read my documents for me... I won't have to suffer with this lack of sleep." Matthias buried his face in his arms for a few seconds before he'd glanced back up at Sage. "Thank you, Mr. Faolan. I must repay you in some way one of these days." |
Noticing his dogs were meeting Kenny, he smiled. Jinx, his Russian Blue, had been curled up around his neck, purring at the occasion. Offering both the boys a biscuit, Justice crossed his legs, nibbling on one of the chocolate cookies himself.
|
Claus was, again, impressed by the dog running off for tea, like a little butler. It was quite adorable...and yet, a bit strange as well. 'Who cares?' he thought cheerfully, grinning at the thought of tea.
He sat down as well, across from Justice and his dogs, his eyes still searching and examining the room they were in. The scent still filled the area, making him smile a bit just from that. It had been a while since he visited someone's home... |
Sage paused as he glanced sideways to the other, worried he’d said something to offend him or upset him. Still, it did need to be said. Lack of sleep meant the body had no time to re-energize itself, running on the last dregs of energy just wasn’t good for you. However he relaxed at the sound of Matthias’ chuckle, moving to stand beside him as he watched him leaning in to sign the papers. He was distinctly aware of just how close they were, but he didn’t seem bothered by it.
When at last he was done, Sage chuckled warmly at the other’s mumbled words. “Romero already seems to have a number of jobs to do, I’m happy to help in my free time” He smiled cheerfully before blushing lightly at the other’s words. “Please, call me Sage, Mr. Faolan makes me sound old, and the children I teach call me Sage as well” He chuckled softly. “And you don’t need to repay me, as I said, I was happy to help, and I still am, anything to keep away perpetual boredom” |
"Are you okay, Claus? You seem so distracted. I hope you're not feeling uncomfortable." His facial expressions showed something of being impressed, yet there too was the sight of something being a tad off. "Do you like the apartment?" He figured it couldn't hurt to ask their opinion. He was looking quite impressed to begin with. "If either one of you is still settling down in the apartment, I don't mind helping you out."
|
Alice jingled the keys once, nodding when Matthias told him where the vehicle was and what it looked like. A truck with big wheels. Shouldn't be too hard to locate, it was probably the only truck with big wheels there anyway. Alice wasn't too keen on the idea of driving in the rain, but he was sure they'd be able to get there and back in once piece.
"..Right, c'mon.." He mumbled the words softly, glancing at Sho before he started towards the elevator. Alice paid careful attention and made sure he wasn't standing under that mistletoe again. Now he knew it was there, there was no way he was getting caught by it again. Alice fidgeted a bit with his arm warmers, really he wasn't dressed for an outdoor excursion. Wearing a sleeveless shirt and arm warmers weren't really winter time clothing. Then again. He'd been out in the park in the rain earlier that day wearing almost the same thing. He tapped his foot almost impatiently as he waited for the elevator. |
