Yeah. So far the majority of them aren't ripe yet, but in maybe a week or so they will be. :yes: And yeah, messy, but once you cut it up into a bowl and wash your hands and the knife, you can settle down with a fork and eat it leisurely without having to worry about its juice spurting everywhere. :XD |

Ah that's true. :lol: I just cut them in that criss cross pattern and nom them that way. Never make it into a bowl. :ninja:

Oh, I always cut the two bowls out and cube them. And then I trim the excess off of the seed, but even that's not that messy >_>

Um, there's the medium-sized kinds and the really large kinds. The large ones can grow to be as large as papayas. The medium ones are maybe...palm-sized? The medium sized ones are usually the sweetest type though. The flesh tends to cling to the seed in the middle rather closely, so it's hard to trip them off with a knife, unless one wanted to risk slicing their hand open in the process if the blade slips... |
We don't get the big papaya-sized ones here. At least, not this time of year.
