Depends on the kind, I think. I know there's a rattlesnake that has rough scales for more friction when moving through sand, I think that might feel rather rough and scratchy. But ball pythons and the yellow-and-white pythons I've petted are all smooth and soft and just so damn cute I wanna huggle them to death.

(not sure if I've ever told you the story but when I saw a giant cobra with its hood open as a kid my first reaction was to run towards it in an attempt to hug it...[sweat])

It's always been my dream pet to be able to own a snake. [heart]

The cobra was about as wide as the diameter of a softball (sorry I couldn't think of a better item to compare its width with right now...[sweat]), and really gorgeous. My brother, who's seven years older than me, grabbed me and held me back when I tried to run towards it. I remember being mad at him for 'not letting me to hug that cute cobra'. [XD]

Nooope, it was on the back mountain of the dormitory our family used to live in. We came across it while walking on the road and it just slithered down from the side slope, crossed the road (while my brother physically restrained me), and disappeared down the other side of the slope. [XD]

It barely even looked at us, though I think it might have paused a little bit when I made to run at it. XDDD;;
