I can see her, though it's still two hours from where I live. For all we know, she may die tonight. However, seeing her... if I am completely honest, I'd rather not. The grandmother that I knew died a few years ago, thanks to Parkinson and DLB. She does not recognize people anymore, hell, she currently is unaware when there are others in the room. She sleeps nearly constantly and hasn't been awake for almost 48 hours, else than a few minutes. She doesn't look like the person I knew anymore.
In all honesty, I would rather remember her as the grandmother I once had than the way she is now. Gross as it may sound, she currently is basically a breathing corpse. Her mind is already gone. My grandmom has already died, it's just her body living on. |

I still have my grandmother...and I'm glad cause I love her. Even if she's a pain int eh ass sometimes...I'd probably cry my eyes out if any of my family members (that I know) died. ---------- Leni: is she on life support? |
No. She is on painkillers, though. We all know she wants to die - back when she sometimes had a clear mind still, that was basically what every conversation turned to - so we won't go against her wishes. However, her body still refuses to give up, although the resistance is getting less and less. Hence the painkillers: without them, she would be in a lot of pain.
