oh no rozzy!!! that's what i'm afraid of. we have this birch tree in the back yard that is split down the middle. i'm scared to death one of these days when the wind gets crazy like this that it'll blow down into our kitchen or the boys' room. *shivers* it's already took off with our basketball goal and the boys' playhouse tonight too. but it kinda sounds like it's died down now... *knock on wood*

lol! That's scary. The wind's been really strong here today as well, currently I keep on hearing the winds whistling through my window...good thing I live on the tenth story so at least I wouldn't have to worry about trees breaking in...:sweat: |

That's way dangerous! Ever thought about getting it removed? That would probably be best if it's too close to the boy's room, they're more important. My dad said he was going to trim the palm tree this summer, so hopefully it'll behave for now. Yes, but... what about a.. a.. bird! :shock: The wind could knock poor birdie straight through your window. O.O |
yeah hubby looked into getting it cut down, it would cost $2400! :O so he says it can fall down at that price. i'd rather it be cut down, there's power lines, our garage, the neighbors garages, lots of things it can damage if the stupid thing goes down. i'll just keep hoping and praying it doesn't. i think the very top of the tree would get the house, if it even did. powerlines and the garages are closer.

Yeah, the damages would cost more if it fell on the garage and those powerlines, who knows the extent of the damage it would create. :/

he thinks the city would have to repair the power lines, and our insurance would cover the garages. i guess we'll see. :/

Yeah, well the insurance say they'll pay for shit and then when it's time for them to pay up they make some half-assed excuse as to why they won't cover it. *Shakes head*
