"Ah, so you know about Karin-chan and Ichigo-kun then, that's good. I actually want to ask you about them, as well as wanting to get your thoughts about the shinigami during Naomi's graduation on Sunday," he said. He hoped that Ren was alright with everything, but also wanted to ask him what he thought about Ichigo and Karin unlocking their different powers.

Karin nodded gratefully to Naomi, glad that she was able to read the situation. "Please," she said.

Byakuya sighed but nodded, knowing that nothing could change her mind. "Just make sure it's just your boyfriend who knows," he said. "And I'll let you know about Minato as soon as I get back to Soul Society," Byakuya said as he bowed lightly before taking his leave.

"I'm fine with the Shinigami, since I understand they are ones Ichigo trust and that they will help keep both Karin-chan and Yuzu-chan safe ." Ren said He was furious that the Vandenriech would try to get to him again after all these years. He was never going to admit he was wrong to leave since they were the ones who had almost killed him. " I have a feeling that Karin-chan is on the threshold of her powers. It's the most difficult time for a young Quincy. And how is Ichigo handling being a Quincy? Ren asked.

How about we go to your room? I want you to feel comfortable when you do talk to me. " Naomi kindly said and stood up. She knew that these next few moments were very important.

Urahara came up after Hanataro and thought he had sensed Captain Kuchiki. He let Hanataro have a room so be could rest after the training they had done. " Did I miss anything interesting while I was down there?" He asked with a grin.

"As long as you're okay with them, and I'm sure that they're being told not to attack any of the Quincy members, although how they're going to tell the enemy apart from us, but I'm sure they'll think of something before Sunday," Isshin said. "I know, which has me slightly worried. I thought that both a Shinigami and Quincy powers were the same, then again, Ichigo had his shinigami powers overcharged by Rukia-chan, one of the shinigami that I'm sure you'll meet," he added on, hoping that Ren would want to talk about other things as well.

"That sounds like a great idea," Karin said, glancing over to Yuzu. Karin knew that if she told Naomi what she was feeling while Yuzu was in the room, her sister would only worry about her. Getting up, she led Naomi to the room that she shared with Yuzu.

"Bya-boyo was here and Little Bee told me some interesting information," she said as she got him up to speed, thinking that she had forgotten about something.

" They will be able to.Once I tell them who the leader is, it will be easier to tell us apart from the Vandenreich. " Ren said cryptically, knowing how much his son in law disliked it when he did get that way. It was something he had learned form Kisuke many years ago. " I'm looking forward to meeting Rukia-san actually. They are the same in a way. Kisuke and I have discussed this a few times and think that Shinigami powers need a trigger to be released. I feel Karin unlocking her Quincy powers will be that trigger for her shinigami side to be released." Ren said.

"What seems to be troubling you Karin-chan?" Naomi asked once they had arrived in the room. She hoped her cousin would be ready to hear about why she could see ghosts.

" That is intersting information. I'm sure that Tetsu will be glad to know that most of the captains don't doubt Hoshi and Katia's visions. I have something interesting to report myself." Urahara said thinking back to the training. He was glad that Hanataro was gaining the confidence he needed to be a good fighter.

"You know I hate it when you're cryptic like that Ren-san," Isshin said, although he was glad that there would be a way for the others to be able to distinguish friend from foe. He hadn't wanted to accidentally harm one of Naomi's friends or family in the heat of battle. He knew that it was possible to happen after all. "Oh really, you're actually looking forward to meeting a shinigami? You?" He teased, although he was glad that he was willing to meet one of Ichigo's female friends. The same female friend that he teased his son about...well at least one of them. Still though, to have friends like Rukia and Tatsuki, he was starting to wonder...

"Like my brother, I can see ghosts, or spirits, whatever you want to call them, but I can see them," Karin started, before quickly picking back up, knowing that if she stopped now, she may never be able to tell her cousin about what she was feeling. "There's also been something bothering me lately. It feels as if there's something inside me waiting to get loose, but I have no idea what it is and driving me up the wall," Karin ended before taking a few breaths to get herself back together. She just hoped that her cousin knew what was wrong with her...

Yoruichi nodded but also told her boyfriend that it was nothing she was too worried about, at least for the moment. "Now then, what interesting information do you have to discuss, hm?" she asked slyly.

" You'll find out his name I promise. I talk to you don't I? " He teased back, realizing how much he had missed this. I will be meeting Kisuke's friend Yoruichi on Saturday and have agreed to speak with Captain Hitsugaya about the Vandenreich also. I miss talking to you like we did in the past Isshin-kun. It will be good to see you and the children after so long." Ren said sadly thinking of Misaki again. " I'm glad Naomi-chan will be there to help you out at the clinic and help Karin-chan learn to use her Quincy abilities.I know you and Kisuke will help Karin when she gets her Shinigami powers and I did make Kisuke promise not to take the same approach he did with Ichigo. I wasn't too happy when he told me what happened , but I understand that it had to be done.I do accept my grandson for being a Shinigami and know the rest of our family does too. I have always accepted you Isshin, and I know you do your best for your family. Ren added sincerely.

Naomi listened to what Karin had said and smiled. " I understand what you are going through Karin-chan. I felt the same thing and I know the reason why you feel that way. Everyone in your mom's family can see spirits just like you and Ichigo. This may sound crazy, but I am telling you the truth. The reason you feel the power inside of you is because of what we are."Naomi started, knowing Karin had to ask what they were. Naomi knew that doing things this way would help Karin adjust to being a Quincy.

" Hanataro was able to unlock a new ability to his shikai while we were fighting with the projections. It's somewhat similar to his healing ability does after the meter is full but it can deal damage with out the meter being full. It still is a work in progress and I have a feeling that he will be able to fight like he wants too. " Urahara said. "He still has a ways to go but he's going in the right direction. " He added with a grin.

Isshin chuckled lightly at the jab. "I suppose you do, but do you always have to be so cryptic?" Isshin asked, annoyed. Although he was glad that Ren was okay with everything that was going to happen. "I also miss talking to you like this Ren...Misaki's death hit us all hard," he said sadly remembering the events of that night. He was actually surprised that Ren talked to Kisuke about his niece and Isshin's daughter, glad that he didn't have to worry about something like that. "Thanks for doing that...in regards to making sure Karin doesn't have the same problems as Ichigo does," he clarified.

"You do?" Karin asked, surprised. She had wanted to know what was happening to her so badly..."Can you please tell me Naomi-chan?" she asked.

Yoruichi was intrigued by this information, but glad that Hanataro was working on perfecting his shikai and said as such.

" Not always, just when I want some one to be interested in what I'm saying. It did. She would be sad to know that we all have drifted apart when she died. She was the one who always brought us together as a family. That's why I must tell about who the Vandenreich leader is, to finally put an end to the cruel reign of their leader and give the families that have suffered well deserved peace." Ren solemnly said.

We are Quincy. Your mom was a Quincy and so is my dad and my younger brother Daisuke. Grandpa Ren and Grandma Eriko are also Quincies. It's a Quincy's duty to fight the negative spirits that prey upon the living and others of our kind. We are few in number and have enemies that have hurt us. The Shinigami fought us 200 years ago and the Quincy lost , but in recent years Quincy and Shinigami have been able to work together. There is no need to fear Shinigami as a threat, but more like our older brothers that we want to be like and agree with." Naomi said. She wasn't sure if Karin knew about Ichigo or her father being shinigami or that there were shinigami here in town. Naomi didn't want her cousin to be afraid like she had been.

" I'm glad too. I'm still a bit puzzled why Captain Unohana sent him here though. I know for a while she's been a pacifist, but even 100 years ago she was still a willing fighter." Urahara said and wondered if it had to do with the disappearance of her lieutenant back then, who also was Hanataro's older brother.

"It is a shame that we did drift apart...and you're right. If Misaki saw us like this, she'd probably be expecting a really good reason as to why we did so..." he said, laughing lightly after that comment. "It would be nice, to finally teach this person a lesson," Isshin said.

"I'm a Quincy?" Karin asked, surprised. "I thought it was something similar to Dad or Ichi-nii..." she muttered. She was glad that she found out why she was feeling the way that she was, but that still didn't help her with what she was currently experiencing and how to get rid of it.

"Perhaps something or someone changed her mind back into being the person she was? That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense..." Yoruichi said as she thought out loud.

" She would" Ren said with a laugh. " How have you been doing lately? I heard you have your powers back. I was a bit unsettled that Naomi-chan had been here in Karakura when that battle happened. I could sense it somewhat in Yokohama and was glad that Kisuke had explained to me the whole story after Naomi repeated what you told her. I'm glad that horrible man is someplace he can't harm anyone, but am a bit wary. I remember vaguely that the Leader was working with a high level Shinigami and wonder if he was the same man." Ren said.

"You have that power too, but it's your Quincy side that is getting ready to awaken. I promise you that you are very close to being able to use your powers. Grandpa Ren has a pendant like this that helps a Quincy fight. " Naomi said and showed Karin her pendant. " I have a feeling that your Shinigami side will be unlocked soon and I know your dad will help you understand how to use those powers. If you would like I can help you with your Quincy powers." Naomi added, hoping Karin would let her help.

" Perhaps. We may never know the cause, but I have a feeling we'll see Unohana fighting again . Why I feel that way I don't know, unless Yamamoto wants her to train Zakari. That would be a match to watch." Urahara said.

"You heard correct, and it was thanks to Tetsu-kun that helped me regain my powers. What about you?" Isshin asked over the phone, glad that Naomi was able to take care of herself after Karakura was brought into Soul Society. "If I knew Naomi was in Karakura at the time, I would have gone to make sure was alright," Isshin added although what Ren said had troubled him. If Aizen had broken out...

"So until my Quincy powers awaken, I'm going to have to deal with this?" Karin asked. She was glad that she knew what was going on, but annoyed that she couldn't do anything about it. She was also surprised that a simple piece of jewelry could help a Quincy so well. "...I don't know if I want dad to help me or not to tell you the truth...but I would like your help when my Quincy powers awaken, please." She pleaded as a question came to mind. "What about Yuzu-chan? Since she isn't feeling the way I am, does that mean she doesn't have any powers of her own?" Karin asked.

Yoruichi giggled lightly, knowing that Zaraki and Unohana fighting would definitely be a fight to see. "That definitely would be a match to watch," Yoruichi said in agreement. She had seen Unohana fight in the past and was glad that she was on their side.

" I'm glad Tetsu-kun was able to help. I feel horrible that the Vandenreich tried to capture his daughter and his niece. You tell him if Katia needs to speak about her days with the Vandenreich, I'll listen and help her. "Ren said remembering his days as a Vandenreich all too well. " I'm well and so is Eriko. I don't like feeling so old during times like these. I'd do almost anything to be able and fight once the Vandenreich strike. Eriko thinks that would be a bad idea, since I'll be training Ichigo. I do have a plan for him, but first I want to see how he fights as a Shinigami. I know you would have Isshin-kun. I know how terrified she must have felt. It bothers me greatly that she fears Shinigami, though Kisuke told me today the reason she feared them so much. " Ren said glad his granddaughter had finally felt comfortable telling about that day.

" You are.I'm sure there will be someone that will be able to help with your Shinigami powers." Naomi said knowing Urahara would help Karin and smiled when Karin said she wanted her help. " I'm not sure. Do you know if Yuzu-chan can see ghosts ? .She does have spiritual pressure I can sense and she could be a target for hollows. I can teach the both of you to repress your spiritual energy so you both will be safe. " Naomi said.

" Yes it would. Do you ever wonder what our lives would have been like if Aizen hadn't changed everything ?" Urahara asked. He often wondered that , but knew that he was happier as a shop keeper and consultant , than he would have been if he was still a captain. He had a feeling he wouldn't have told Yoruichi how he had felt, and was glad that he finally had.

"I'll let her know, but I'm pretty sure she's doing alright now and doesn't want to remember such dreadful events," Isshin replied. He would let both Ren and Ichigo know how the other fought, not wanting to give away any information to either party. "Kisuke informed me about that, but I'm pretty sure he's still locked up so Naomi has nothing to worry about," he added.

Karin sighed lightly at that. "Alright. And it's not that I don't trust my dad or anything but...I think Ichi-nii or that strange person with the bucket hat would be a better trainer than dad would be, he gets a little too overprotective of us," Karin said with a small smirk, remembering an event that happened when they were littler. Karin thought for a few seconds before shaking her head in the negatvie. "I don't think Yuzu-nee-chan has ever been able to see or hear ghosts. Only me and Ichigo," she added on, also thinking that it would be a good idea for the both of them to learn how to repress their reiatsu

"I have, a few times. I would still be a noble and captain of the Stealth Unit, and you would still be captain of the R&D division. The only times we would meet and interact would be at captain meetings. We may have become friends over time but...I don't think we would be like...well, like this," she responded. Plus the fact that she would still be a noble would cause all sorts of headaches when it came to dating Kisuke, if she went that route.

" I'm glad he is. I wish I would have followed my instincts that day and kept Naomi inside, but I know that stay in the hospital was one reason she wanted to be a doctor. The biggest reason she became a doctor was that she's always looked up to her Uncle Isshin. . " Ren said with a grin. " Eriko has big plans for the girls when she gets here. I'm not exactly sure what , but I know the girls will have fun. She has been cooking nonstop today and we'll have enough to feed an army. Ren said with a laugh.

" I think you mean Urahara-San. He is strange ,but I know your dad and Grandpa Ren trust him greatly. " Naomi said with a smile and hugged Karin " I'm glad you trust me to help you. I promise to do my best to teach you what you need to know. " Naomi said. She still was worried about Yuzu, but knew her cousin would be safe.

" And Isshin would still be Captain and Tetsu wouldn't have faked his death. But we wouldn't have met the many people who helped us over the years and I know some of them we know wouldn't have been born. " Urahara said. " But despite the hardships , I'm glad things have turned out this way. I'm looking forward to what the future will bring us. " He said and gave Yoruichi a soft kiss, knowing he loved her very much.

Isshin was glad that the phone conversation between himself and Ren was only audio, otherwise he knew that the elderly male would have seen him blush lightly at the compliment. "I'm glad to hear that she thought so highly of me then...and maybe still does think so," Isshin replied, also glad that Aizen was locked up where he could do no more harm.

"I think that was his name," Karin said as she returned the hug. "Of course I trust you Naomi, you're family," she said, hoping that the matter would be closed with that single statement. She was glad that Naomi promised to teach her to the best of her ability but Karin already knew that she would, mentally worrying about her sister.

Yoruichi returned the kiss with one of her own, glad that he had confessed to her. She knew that all of their lives would have been different if Aizen hadn't interfered or tried taking over the King's Palace. Though she did wonder what would have happened if she took Soi-fon with her like the girl wanted and yelled at her during their fight in Soul Society.

Ren smiled knowing Naomi still did, but would let Isshin find that out on his own." I'm glad you called me tonight Isshin. Do you think anyone in Soul Society that might be bothered by Ichigo being part Quincy? " Ren asked feeling concerned. He had asked Kisuke about this, but Urahara had said that he wasn't too concerned about people being bothered by it.Ren trusted his friend's judgement, but wanted to know how Isshin felt about it.

Naomi smiled, glad that Karin trusted her. "Is there anything else you would like to talk about?" Naomi asked. She was glad that Karin was feeling better and understood that her cousin would be concerned about her younger sister.

Urahara smiled and was glad things had worked out this way. " Are you all set for tomorrow's training. If not I can help you out." He said after a while. He wasn't sure if Hanataro wanted to train with the others or would rather stay here for the time being. He had a feeling a lot would be happening in the next few days.

"Maybe a few, but that's probably more due to personal reasons more so than the fact that Ichigo is a Quincy," Isshin replied. "I highly doubt it will bother Ichigo too much to be honest," he added.

"Well...there is one thing, but it's stupid, and you'll probably laugh," Karin admitted.

"I'm fine. Everything is set up and ready to go for everyone tomorrow," Yoruichi said. "Although thanks for offering," she added. "What about Hanataro? Is he staying here?" She asked.

" That's good. It was good to talk to Isshin-kun tonight. I should be going. I promised Eriko I would make her dinner tonight and from the look at the clock I should at least get it started. Feel free to call me with any concerns you have before I see you on Saturday. " Ren said.

" I won't laugh if you tell me. " Naomi replied with a kind smile , wondering what Karin wanted to talk about.

" I'm not sure. He said he would think about it if he wanted to join the others tomorrow , but I think with a bit of convincing he'll train with you. " Urahara said. He hoped Hanataro would , since being around the others would help his confidence.

"Likewise Ren-kun, and if I have any concerns I'll call and let you know. If not, I'll see you Saturday," Isshin said as he said his farewells and hung up the phone glad to have had the conversation with his father-in-law.

"I think I might have a crush..." Karin started, though she wasn't sure if the person she was crushing on was a shinigami or not...

"Alright," Yoruichi replied, making a mental note to talk to the young man.

" You do? On who?" Naomi asked with a kind smile. She remembered her first crush when she was Karin's age. She never told anyone , not even Satoshi. But was happy she knew Satoshi was the one she loved the most.

" Anything you would like to do before bed. We do have a few hours to waste, which is rare when you think about it. " Urahara said. He did have some projects , but they wouldn't be ready till morning at the earliest.

" You alright Katia-chan ? " Tetsu asked feeling concerned. He wondered why there were so many Shinigami out tonight and hoped he could get some answers later.

Karin blushed lightly as she explained the day she befriended the boy who called himself Toushiro.

"Perhaps the two of us could go out on a date?" Yoruichi asked, hoping he would say yes to the idea.

"I just feel a little nervous is all," Katia responded to her uncle's question. She knew that she was safe within the house, but wasn't sure as to what was going on, especially something that would require this many shinigami.

" He sounds nice. . " Naomi said and wondered if it was Captain Hitsugaya she was talking about. "Do you know much about him?" Naomi asked curious.

" That would be wonderful. Where would you like to go?" Urahara asked with a smile.

"Would you like me to ask about what's going on? I sensed another Quincy today , but Isshin messaged me it was his niece. " Tetsu said and was glad Naomi was back. He remembered when her family had visted Isshin and Misaki back when things were different than now. It had been almost 10 years since he had seen his friend Kenji and his father Ren and wondered if they would be visiting.

"I know he's a good soccer player, kind, loyal to his friends," Karin said after agreeing with Naomi about him being nice. "Unfortunately I couldn't get to know him...he headed off before I could ask where he lived or something along those lines," she added sadly.

"Really? I wonder what she's like..." Katia said lightly after asking if he could ask around for her.

"That is sad. Hopefully you can ask him when you see him again. " Naomi said kindly. She understood how hard it was to have a crush that you didn't see often." We ready to head down to eat? It sounds like dinner is ready." Naomi said when she heard Yuzu.

" From what I remember she was a nice girl and I hope you two can meet." Tetsu said, wondering if Naomi was here because of the change that he was feeling in Ichigo. He knew Misaki was a Quincy, and wondered if Ichigo had finally unlocked those abilities.

" That sounds great. How about we clean up a bit and be ready to go in about 30 minutes? Urahara said with a smile.

"I know, thanks for not laughing at me though Naomi," Karin responded before nodding her head at her cousin's question. She was getting hungry after all.

"I hope I can meet her too then," Katia said with a small smile. "I still wonder about the shinigami though...I though Ichigo and the rest were all that were needed to protect this town," she said after a few minutes.

"Sounds like a plan," Yoruichi grinned back before stealing a light kiss from him before using Shunpo to head to her room.
