Naomi was having a good time with her family and was glad the hollows were gone. She hated seeing her grandparent so scared knowing it was the Vandenreich that had sent the hollows to Karakura.She knew her dad would be very upset that the Vandenreich were targeting his family again.

Naomi smiled as she got ready to greet her parents and younger brother at the train station. She was glad that Ichigo and his family would be there too , along with her grandma and grandpa. She looked at the clock and saw that it was almost time for Satoshi to come get her. She had talked to him a bit on the phone last night since he was a bit uneasy to be out after the hollow attack. Naomi understood how Satoshi felt and hoped that her grandpa could talk to the shinigami with out getting hurt.


Kenji Isobe looked out the window of the train as they were heading toward Karakura town. It had been 8 years since he and his family had made this trip and he was glad he was going to see Isshin and his family again. He regretted not talking to his brother in law as much as he use to, but things had gotten busy in the last few years.He looked at his wife and son as they talked about how excited they were to see Naomi graduating tomorrow and gave a smile. He was proud of Naomi and knew she was going to be a great doctor.

Ichigo and his sisters were getting ready to meet up with Daisuke and the others. He noticed that she got a call last night and assumed that it was Satoshi by the sound of her voice. He wondered what they had talked about, but knew that it was none of his business.

"Everyone ready?" Isshin asked as he waited near the front door for Naomi and his children. He couldn't wait to see his brother-in-law. After everything that happened after the death of his wife, that he and Kenji had lost touch. Isshin hoped that Ichigo's shinigami friends would be well met by the Isobe family. 'I'm glad to see that Rukia also wants to come...I just hope that things won't go to hell when they come here,' Isshin thought to himself as he saw Ichigo head down the stairs.

Naomi heard the knock at the door and smiled when she saw Satoshi there, giving him a bit hug. " How are doing today? "She asked him since she had been concerned about the headache he told her he got when he arrived.


Ren smiled as he and Eiko walked holding hands toward the station. He was happy that everyone would be together again and would have a good day with each other. He hoped Daisuke would want to go with him to Urahara's today, knowing it was important for his family to trust his long time friend. He was glad Ichigo would be going with him, since Ren was a bit tense after last night.


Daisuke was looking forward to seeing his cousins again, but was worried they wouldn't get along. He had been 9 years old when his aunt had been killed and had missed Ichigo. Their birthdays were only a couple weeks apart and it was nice having a cousin the same age as he was, since the cousins on his mom's side of the family were closer to Naomi's age.

"I'm doing better beautiful," Satoshi replied after letting go of his girlfriend with a small grin on his face. "What about you? You nervous?" he asked. He still had a little bit of a headache, but it wasn't as bad as when he got off the train.

Ichigo was, to be honest, a little on the nervous side. The last time he remembered interacting Daisuke was when he was ten, and truth be told, he missed the little guy. He just hoped that with everything that happened between them over the years wouldn't damper, or completely break, their friendship.

" A little. Mostly about tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to standing on the stage once we all get our certificates. " Naomi said. " I hope you like this apartment. It's bigger compared to the one I had before and it also has a washer and dryer. " Naomi said with a smile. She disliked laundromats very much since they always seemed to have people that gave her a bad feeling. " We probably should be going. I don't want anyone to think I forgot. " Naomi said.


Kenji was glad that the train was almost to Karakura and had a feeling that there were many Shinigami there. He remembered that Naomi had told him that there would be Shinigami here to keep his nieces safe from the Vandenreich and that they were ones that Ichigo trusted. He was a little uneasy that his dad was speaking with a Shinigami Captain, but understood that they needed to know the name of the Vandenreich leader. He made a note to ask Isshin what he knew about Captain Hitsugaya and if it was true about the Shinigami agreeing to let the Quincy help.

"But that's why I'm going to be there, so I can see you get one of your greatest achievements," Satoshi said with a smile, hoping that he was able to calm Naomi down. "That's good. I know how much you hate the laundromats," he responded after hearing about her new apartment, hoping that he'd get a chance to see it soon.

Isshin and the others stood in the train station, waiting for the train to come in. 'Hopefully Daisuke and Ichigo can get back their friendship as if it's never left,' Isshin thought to himself, wondering how much longer it would be.

Naomi was glad that they had made it to the train station as soon as the train was pulling in. She waved at her family who were waiting for her parents and brother to get off the train. She did her best to relax, knowing tomorrow was going to be fine,but still worried the Vandenreich would attack.

Kenji was glad that they all had arrived safely to Karakura town and waved at the group that was waiting for them, seeing his wife and son also waving. He was happy to see that Satoshi had came , but wondered who the dark haired girl was and assumed that she was a friend of Ichigo's.

Daisuke gave a smile to his cousin hoping that he remembered him. He wondered if they liked the same things like they had when they were kids.

Satoshi squeezed Naomi's hand, knowing that she was still a little bit nervous, wanting to reassure her that he was there to help her in any way possible. He didn't know that the reason she was so worried was because of an upcoming attack, but the fact that which she said before: standing up there with all her old classmates.

Ichigo returned Daisuke's smile with one of his own. "Wow squirt, you've grown since I last saw you," he said to his fellow male cousin. Before Rukia could get his attention in the way she usually did, his smile morphed back into the smirk he usually had on his face. "And this shorty here is Rukia-chan. Rukia meet Daisuke," he said, knowing that she knew he meant nothing by the jab to her height...or lack thereof.

" You have too. We were the same height once." Daisuke said with a grin, Daisuke was an inch or two shorter than Ichigo was, but didn't mind." It's nice to meet you Rukia-san"He said with a smile and said hello to Yuzu and Karin. He knew they didn't remember him, but he remembered them a little bit. He shyly waved to his uncle Isshin and wondered if it was true that his uncle and cousin were shinigami.

" How have you been doing Isshin-kun?" Kenji said with a grin and noticed his brother-in-law was stronger than before. He knew that Isshin had lost his powers shortly before meeting Misaki, but wasn't sure when he regained them. He remembered his dad saying that Tetsu-San had helped Isshin , but wasn't sure.

Naomi was talking with her mom about her new apartment and was glad that everyone was getting along so well. She wondered why Satoshi was so nervous, but would for him to say something if he wanted too.

"Yeah, once. I see you're still shorter than me though," he teased as he noticed that he was still a couple of inches taller than Daisuke. He was glad that his cousin still remembered him. Hopefully his sisters could also create memories with their cousin just like he had all those years ago.

"I've been doing great Kenji-kun," Isshin replied with a grin of his own, happy to see his brother-in-law after so long of an absence. He was also glad to see Daisuke, though wasn't surprised to see that he had grown. He was a little pleasantly surprised to see Ichigo and Daisuke talking as if they had never been separated by time. 'Poor Rukia...' he thought to himself, remembering the types of mischief those two got into at a young age.

" Remember the trouble we got into? I think once we put tadpoles in Naomi's lemonade just to see what she would do . " Daisuke said with a laugh. " I promise to be on my best behavior while I'm here. Not much of a trouble maker these days though. " He said with a grin. He didn't like the getting caught part.

Sachi was glad that Kenji had the chance to talk to Isshin again. She gave both Karin and Yuzu hugs remembering when they were young children. " I know you girls don't remember me. I'm your Aunt Sachi. " She said with a kind smile.

" I'm glad you are. I'm happy that Naomi has the chance to work for you now. I just hope Ryuuken-San doesn't think she's like me. I'm sorry for being like I was in the old days. " Kenji said. He hated having to prove he was as good a Quincy like the traditional ones, now accepting that others just didn't want to believe that Elements were equal in power.

"I remember that. I also remember that she didn't talk to us for a week after we did that though," Ichigo replied with a small grin on his face. He decided to keep the fact that he fought bullies to himself for now, conveniently ignoring Rukia's comment about how lucky she was to have not met them during that time.

"It's nice to meet you Aunt Sachi," both Karin and Yuzu said as they returned the hug from their aunt. They may have forgotten her due to the fact that they were young, but would make up for it with new memories...hopefully.

["It's in the past, and I knew you were just trying to prove yourself to the other Quincies around. Speaking of Ryu though, I'm quite sure the old dragon would like seeing you, at least for a moment," Isshin said.

" I remember that too. I tend to have some trouble with some of my classmates, but I can handle them." Satoshi said. He had always had been teased about having brown hair and had been mistaken for a foreigner by some people. He knew that both of his parent's families had lighter hair than what was normal in Japan.


" I hope you girls like cake. I made one for dinner tonight." Sachi said, and was glad that Kenji had got the bags from the baggage claim area.

" I think he would too. I hope I get a chance to see him while I'm in town, and I promise to keep in contact better. I admit I buried myself in work to deal with how I felt after Misaki died." Kenji said. He knew the Vandenreich had to pay for the crimes against his family.

"Guess we have another thing in common then Daisuke, we both seem to get in trouble because of our natural hair color," Ichigo said, chuckling lightly. He had a feeling that his cousin wondered about his supernatural abilities, but figured that out in the open like this was a bad place to speak about them.

"We all like cake, although I think Karin has a little more of a sweet tooth than I do," Yuzu replied as she fingered the bangle that their grandfather gave her yesterday. She wasn't sure why he was so adamant about wearing the piece of jewelry though she had a feeling it was something important.

"You probably will, it just depends when," Isshin replied, as he noticed that everyone had claimed their baggage. "Now then, everyone ready to go?" He asked.

Daisuke wanted to ask Ichigo more about what he could do as a shinigami, having been curious since he had found out, but knew there were people here in the staion who would think they were nuts." I'm ready." Daisuke said with a grin.

" I'm ready too. We'll meet you at your house Isshin-kun, since we need to drop off our bags. We're staying at the same place mom and dad are at." Kenji said, glad that house was big enough for all of them.

Kenji and his family headed toward the house where they were staying and took care of their bags. Sachi grabbed the cooler of food since that was for dinner. She was glad to see that her son , husband and daughter were happy again, since it had been a hard 8 years since her sister-in-law had been killed. Sachi understood that it was the Vandenreich that had killed Misaki and hoped her family could finally find some peace.

Daisuke grabbed his backpack that had some manga to read, not sure really of what Ichigo liked. He followed his parents toward the Kurosaki clinic and smile that it looked the same as it did when he was younger.

"Would it be alright if Daisuke went with us to Urahara's this afternoon? I would like him to meet Kisuke and also know the name of the Vandenreich leader. I want both of my grandson's to know in case I'm not believed." Ren said to Ichigo when they arrived back at the clinic. He knew the girls would be going to the movies and Kenji and Isshin would be seeing Ryuken. He was looking forward to dinner, since he had a feeling Satoshi had something important to say to Naomi.

" It's not Kisuke I'm worried about. He told me that a Captain Hitsugaya and a Captain Soi-Fon will be there. " Ren said and was glad to see the rest of his family here.

" I have homemade pastries for breakfast and cake for dinner tonight. "Sachi said opening the cooler. She had apple and strawberry filled pastries that she had made the night before. Her apple sweet potato cake was in the cooler too. She knew that Eiko and Naomi were going to take both Karin and Yuzu to a movie and Sachi was going with them. She was looking forward to making memories with her nieces.

" What sort of manga do you like Ichigo. I brought some that I've recently been reading. " Daisuke said. He wanted to be a manga writer someday, but first would go to college . He hadn't told anyone about what he wanted to do, since he feared his parents wouldn't like that idea.

Naomi was looking forward to this afternoon with her family. She wondered why her grandpa looked so worried all of a sudden and hoped he was alright.

"You don't have to worry about them," Ichigo replied knowing that those two would actually listen to the information given. He was glad that Naomi and Aunt Sachi were going to take his sisters out to the movies, especially since a few more moments enjoying their life would be well worth what was most likely going to happen during Naomi's graduation before grinning in Daisuke's direction. "I've got a few series up in my room, along with some visual and light novels. Wanna see?" he asked.

Isshin noticed how tense Ren was looking, having an idea that things were going to go down tomorrow. The only question was whether it would be for the better or if all things would go to hell. He was glad to see Sachi spoiling his daughters, not noticing the grin that was on his face.

Once everyone had gotten back to the Kurosaki Clinic, Rukia had quietly made her leave. Not because she didn't feel welcomed, but the small home/clinic that was the Kurosaki's was starting to get a little too crowded for her tastes.

"Sure! " Daisuke said. " Do you like any of the older series? I just finished Rurouni Kenshin and am starting on Baccano. " He said as they went to Ichigo's room.

"I see that grin on your face. It's good to see you happy Isshin-kun. " Kenji said. He was glad that he could take a week end off from work stuff. He was glad things were finally going well and people adjusting to the changes that had happened. They had been good changes, but change good or bad takes time to adjust to.
