"After dealing with Aizen, I don't trust shinigami when they just come outta nowhere like you did. It's only because Tetsu say you're his brother that I'm believing you," Ichigo said. Though he did keep quiet about family being an exception to that rule.

" I can understand that. Aizen was something no one expected to happen. Though this whole thing I didn't expect either. " Saburo said. He had defeated the last man who had made a philosophers stone and hoped this would be the final time anyone would ever have to deal with it.
" Welcome everyone. We'll be in the back room. " Urahara said and lightly bowed to Saburo . He had been here making sure Nel, Jean and Victorai were safe and had been startled by the presence of a Royal Guard in the living world. |
"I'm just glad that no one got hurt," Ichigo said as he sighed lightly. He had a feeling that the old man was looking after the three Arrancar that were staying in this world and hoped that Saburo wouldn't try anything.

" Captain Matsuda, I must explain. While there are Arrancars that are enemies , there are a few that we trust. Nel-San helped us with the fight against Aizen when one of Ichigo's friends was captured. Also Victorai and Jean have been giving us information on Gin's plan. That's how we found out about the philosophers stone." Urahara explained.
" I understand what you're trying to say. I'm more open to having former enemies helping out than my fellow Royal Guard. " Saburo explained. |
Ichigo grinned lightly as he heard Saburo say that, his respect for the man going up by a few notches.

"Looking forward to seeing someone?" Karin teased. She knew that Ichigo was just friends with Nel, but she still liked teasing her older brother when it came to girls/ |

"Funny," Ichigo deadpanned. "Perhaps I should mention this boy that you've been hanging out with a lot recently to pops," he added in the same tone. |
" Me and Jake are just friends." Karin said in protest. She had recently been hanging out with a new student who's dad was a doctor from Canada. She thought he was nice and he liked soccer as much as she did. Karin didn't know if her dad knew about her friend and wondered what he would say.

"Just friends, hm?" Ichigo asked in that annoyingly older brother way.

"Just friends." Karin said with a scowl. She would never admit she had a slight crush on Jake.

Ichigo smirked lightly, knowing that he got the better exchange out of that. Of course he wouldn't leave it with her having the last word though. "If you say so," the words passed through his lips, though the victorious smirk on his face didn't leave.

"I'm glad to see you again. Saburo-sensei." Tessai said to his old teacher.
" It's good to see you again too Tessai. I'm not angry with you for the events of 110 years ago. I can assure you that the Kido Corps will be opened again someday and that it will be great." Saburo said. He had been saddened at the new it had been closed all those years ago ,but had hope it would be opened again.He sat down at the table and knew that soon he would tell them all why he was here. |
Ichigo knew that the time for teasing his little sister was over and that this newcomer would explain why he was here and what he was doing. All he had to do now was wait, just like everyone else.

" You all probably want to know who I am though some of you know who I am. I am Saburo Matsuda member of the royal guard. When it was heard that Ichimaru was trying to attempt to make a philosophers stone it was decided that I would be sent to help. 250 years ago I stopped a group of rogue nobles from succeeding in making one. I'm to be helping the captains prepare in case it is and protect the souls that have been targeted. " He said. It made him sick that his great niece was one of the targets.

"So you're here to protect Nel-san and the others from Gin?" Victorai asked, wanting to make sure that she understood the Royal Guard member perfectly well. She could feel the reiatsu coming off of the man and it was all that she could to not be sent to the floor by it.

" I am. I'll be in Soul Society most of the time though. I don't think Ichimaru will want to try anything with someone stronger than him around. " Saburo said. He still was cautious about how strong Ichimaru really was , hoping the artifact the man had wasn't as strong as everyone feared.

"A good idea, especially with how much Reiatsu you're pouring out right now, even with one of the highest limiters on," Kisuke admitted. He was also curious if he was going to restart the Kido Corps, and if so, knew the first one who would be a good candidate for it.

" The sooner I arrive there the better then. I don't want to be the cause of humans gaining powers. Not that there is anything wrong with humans having abilities , but it's always better if they naturally develop them. " Saburo said.

"I agree with you completely Subaru-san," Kisuke said as he looked at Ichigo, causing said boy to scowl at him. He knew it wasn't the boy's fault but the joke was there and Kisuke, being himself, couldn't resist to take it. "What will you be doing once you return to Soul Society, if you don't mind me asking?" the shop-keeper asked.

" Helping the captains prepare for battle. I also intend to look into a possible candidate for the Kido corps. I'm told there are good Kido users in the ranks." Saburo said. He also would be wanting to meet Hoshi and Katia since they were family. He had a feeling Katia was like a daughter to Tetsu and gave his nephew a smile. He wanted the chance to talk to him before he left.

"Possible candidate?" Ichigo asked, out of curiosity. "Also, what exactly is the Kido Corps? I've never heard about them before," Ichigo added on.

"The Kidō Corps is a group of specialists presiding over spiritual law. It is one of the organizations within Soul Society that is allowed the use of force along with the Gotei 13 and Onmitsukidō, and is also a special organization comprised of experienced Kido users. They take students from the academy that have great talents in Kido and train them to use them to a greater scale. We do our jobs in secret and it's very rare for anyone to see us. " Saburo said. " The Matsuda clan was influential in founding the corps. " He added.

"So you think Hoshi and/or Katia could have the potential to join?" Ichigo asked, having a feeling that the question was on Toushiro's mind as well.
