" Hey! You're the one who said Shinigami wear Black pajamas. " Pete said. He didn't like his picture taken just because he had listened.

Ukitake laughed since he hadn't heard that description before about Shinigami. " We still have some time before the others arrive. But I assume Shiro-chan will be here soon. " He said.

"Hey! I had no idea what was going on or what the technical term was. Excuse me...and if you add Princess to that, so help me," she threatened. Though she did lightly snicker at the nickname. Why would someone be nicknamed the color of white?

" Fine be that way. " Pete said wondering who this Shiro guy was. " Don't worry this sort to thing happens often. " He said with a grin and could see the gate opening again.


Hoshi could sense that Toshiro was on the other side of the gate and would behappy to see him. They had spent some time with each other but not as often as she would like. But knew their duties as Shinigami came first.

"Unfortunately," Claudia muttered. If one didn't know the two of them, you would have guessed they were related somehow.

Toushiro headed through the gate and into Kisuke's shop, already in his gigai so that the humans could see him. Once through, he stood next to Hoshi with a light smile on his face. Even though the captain knew his shinigami duties came first, he was always glad to see his girlfriend.

"Me? Related to him/her?!" Both Pete and Claudia said at the same time.

"He admitted that he was interested, but was going to send a proxy in his place, his 'unworthy' daughter," Toushiro replied with a scowl on his face. That girl needed to get away from Mayuri as soon as possible in his opinion.

Claudia raised an eyebrow at this, but didn't say anything.

"Who names their child after a fruit?" Pete asked.

"or for Protector perhaps?" Claudia asked as she saw an orange haired male appear down the stairs followed by a raven-haired female.

"Who just called me a protector?" Ichigo asked, curiously. When he saw the girl smirk and reply that she was the one who did so, he grinned lightly. "Finally, someone who gets it!" he exclaimed

"Someone who gets the meaning of my name without glancing at me or knowing me...sure, I'll help," Ichigo replied. Besides, he could already tell that Claudia was a rebel just like himself.

'oh hell, a male version of Claudia?!' Pete thought as he mentally gulped.

Claudia liked Ichigo already and knew Pete was in a panic." I have a feeling we could get into some trouble if we put our minds to it. " She said with a grin.

Kisuke saw the gate open and knew Byakuya was the next one to arrive. He had a feeling Pete might pass out before everyone was here. " Just relax. " He said.

"Oh, you have no idea," he said with a light grin, quickly scowling when he sensed the next one's reiatsu. "And he could use it the most. I kick his ass, but apparently I didn't remove the stick," he added, sighing lightly once Byakuya made his appearance.

Rukia glared lightly at the female foreigner, knowing that she would most likely encourage Ichigo's rebellious behavior.

Claudia had a feeling that Rukia didn't like her very much and decided not to be too devious today. For Claudia it wasn't easy to not be herself.

Pete paled a little bit and recognized the Shinigami that had just entered the training area. He knew that his past would eventually comeback to haunt him.

"Once, long ago...Now that you mention it...you were one of the marines that night, weren't you? You almost got yourself killed," he said, surprised that Pete had changed his life around. However, he had a feeling that Pete wasn't fond of some of those earlier days.

Claudia bowed lightly in respect towards the captain and raised an eyebrow about the history that Pete had with this particular captain.

" I was and I know I did. What bothers me the most is that I almost got my friends killed that night. I regret those days but I've changed since then. " Pete said. He cared more about those he worked with and had been able to deal with the negative feelings he had felt after his dad died.

"You were young, and you learned from it," Byakuya said.

Ichigo was listening in on this conversation, actually surprised about this information and how Byakuya was acting. "Wait...you let him off, but you don't interfere when Rukia's life was on the line?"

" I did. I also was able to deal with the negative feelings that caused me t be so reckless when I was younger. " Pete said. He knew his dad would have been happy that he had the friends he did and that he and his older sister still talked from time to time.

"Wait, what?" Claudia asked in a whisper to Ichigo. She had a feeling that the training wasn't going to start until tomorrow, so that everyone could be introduced.

"We kinda expected that to be the case, especially with everything that is so different between our two worlds," Toushiro replied. He was glad to hear that Nemu was staying the night here in the human world, but also worried because of how sheltered she was.

"Taichou, do you think it's okay for us to see Uncle?" Katia asked, hoping that Ukitake agreed with the request. Though she did have a feeling that Toushiro was going to ask Hoshi out on a date tonight.

" It is alright for you girls to see Tetsu. I know Saburo will also be there. . " Ukitake said with a smile. He knew how important family was to the Matsuda clan and didn't want to deny the girls this chance.

" I'm glad you decided to stay Saburo. I know you don't like being in a Gigai but you get use to them over time. " Tetsu said with a smile. He hoped the girls would be able to sleep in their room for the night.
