The next day arrived, Ana was waiting for Kirsten as everyone crowded into the breakfast hall waiting for the fight or outcome. Kirsten had almost forgotten as usual with her sleeping methods. She had gotten out of bed to get dressed and walked calmly out of the room hoping she could bite her tongue long enough to finish her task. Coming face to face with Ana she stared at others making them turn away and Ana also glared at them. Soon their attentions were on eachother "What is it that you want Snape" "I'm sorry" Kirsten replied shocking Ana and those around them. "I'm sorry, I think I misheard that" "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have treated you that way" "so we're friends?" "no, just cause I did something wrong and apologized doesn't make us friends" (If you feel like taking control of anyone but Kirsten, be my guest) |

Natalie watched as the two apologized to each other. She rolled her eyes, still a little upset from yesterday night. After the scene, Natalie watched as her cousin walked and went over to Caleb....she couldn't help but to wonder what he was doing. Kyle walked over to Caleb, taking a seat next to him, "Caleb, there's something I need to talk to you about...It's about Natalie...I mean, I hear that a ball this week has been announced....And I was hoping you could possibly consider taking Natalie with you to it? I mean, I know she won't be to excited about going with a Malfoy....but she'll warm up. Plus, it's not as big as the Hallows Eve Ball which will make her a little more comfortable with the idea..." He asked. He had really wanted Natalie to attend a dance for the first time in her life, and so he hoped this could be the one. Plus, Kyle secretly knew that Natalie had a small crush a Caleb. He had some how gotten ahold of her diary.... |

Kirsten and Ana spoke in silence for awhile, trying to not to lose their cool. But, soon enough they both sat down, Ana chatted with her friends and Kirsten pulled out her potions book reading more into it as she normally did. Everyone seemed to have gone back to doing whatever they were doing at the time. Caleb thought to himself, it would cause such an uproar if a Weasly and a Malfoy went to a dance together. Imagine his popularity level if this happened. Thinking on in but for a very short time he replied "Alright, I'll ask her without much of a scene then" of course caleb's friends were too busy thinking of girls to take to this dance. |

Kyle nodded. He knew it wasn't the best idea have a Malfoy and Weasley together, and that it would start something, but he figured they should just give it a try. "Thanks, it means alot to me, and I'm sure it will mean a lot to her to.." He said with a wink, before getting up and taking a seat next to some of his friends |
(My brother always tried to find mine, the only thing is, I never kept one just never told him that, kept him busy lol XD)
After Kyle sat down for awhile Caleb kept looking over at Natalie, he was taken in her appearance. She had her looks from her mother and of course knowledge of spells. But, what was it that she got from her father? Her temper? Either way Caleb was showing more interest into Natalie and Ana was ignoring him about that time. No need to start an argument so early in the morning. The food was already on the table as he grabbed some juice and wrote a note without many noticing and making it magically appear from his side of the table, to her side. Then he looked away, it wasn't signed but it should've been obvious or close to it. (walked away and lost train of thought my bad ^_^!) |
(Yeah, I can't stick to one diary. I'll write a page in one, before going and buying another because the other one bored me, lol. My brother would have to find all of the diaries just to figure out my thoughts XD )
Natalie had been talking to her friends, before noticing the note that was now at her side. She quickly read through it, before looking over to Kyle with a 'what the hell' type of look. So that's what he'd been up to. She looked back at the note, she could clearly tell that it had been written by Caleb. A Malfoy going to a dance with a Weasley? Won't that ruin you're reputation or something? She wrote on the back, before making it reappear back to him, with a role of her eyes. |
Caleb wrote back...
So. I'll go to the dance with whichever lovely lady I chose. But, I'm not forcing you. If you don't wish to go then I will just have to go by myself Caleb had thought about others he could've taken, he was sure he would get rejected by Kirsten but she wasn't anywhere near his type. Too much like his sister just with different styles. He wondered what she would say and most likely expected to get rejected more than anything. "Why are you talking to a Weasly Caleb?" Ana whispered sitting across from him as her friends kept up on their own conversation. "None of your business sis" |
Natalie sighed, she knew she wanted to go with him, and she figured this was probably her only chance,
No, I'll go with you Caleb. She wrote back, before resending it to him. She felt a bit satsified with it, although she figured Kyle must have bribed Caleb into taking her or something... ~~ Kyle sighed. He had gotten Natalie a dat for a dance, now he just needed to get his own. He knew he wanted to take Kirsten, but he was slightly afraid of getting rejected. She didn't seem like the type of girl to do dances and such, but he figured he'd give it a shot. He would just wait outside of the dining area after lunch, and then he'd ask her. |
Kirsten had been so involved with her book that she had forgotten others were around her at all. She was lost into it, but, each potions book was different, the ones she had told stories of those in the past using potions throughout their lives and this time she couldn't put it down. Until she laid her head down without realizing it and falling asleep.
Ana let the subject dropped when the note reappeared and Caleb wrote... Great! I can't wait! Ana had went back to her friends, they weren't sure what Caleb saw in anyone but it couldn't be helped. Once her brother made his mind up about someone, there was no questioning it. He had gotten their father's stubbornness but almost as much as she did. She did have her mother's spirit though, which is how she kept it hidden, her mother Luna Lovegood was strongly spirited and with that it passed from mother to daughter. |
(Hmmm...should we skip to the day of the dance and say Kyle asked Kirsten, and I'll make a character to go out with Ana? Or do you want to finish the day?)

Kyle waited as the area cleared out. He couldn't help but to laugh at the fact that she had fallen asleep. He shook her slightly towake her up. (I'm going to keep Cedric alive for the sake of the roleplay if you don't mind) Erin sighed as breakfast ended. He'd been planning ways the whole time to get Ana to go out with him to the dance. He was the son of Cedric Diggory afterall, who wouldn't want to go out with him? (I'll create his profile either XD ) |

Ana and her group of friends went off to the side to talk about their classes, she had the history of magic first, "Ugh, I hate history altogether" she complained looking at her list, her friends had different classes than her which would suck for her mostly. Kirsten woke after awhile, it took her a moment to realise she had fallen asleep in the breakfast hall. "Oh. Thanks" Kirsten replied stretching a bit as she stood up closing her book and tucking it into her messenger bag she carried in with her. Caleb had ran over to Natalie and asked her if she wanted them to match for the occasion or do it traditionally and he would go with a black tux most likely but not too fancy, it wasn't his taste. |
Erin smiled his most charming smile, before walking up to Ana. "Ms. Malfoy, may I have a moment please?" He asked with a slight bow. Erin was a confident guy, and he had enough looks to make all the girls swoon over him. People often mistake his couragesnous for cockiness, but that wasn't the case at all. He's actually rather polite, and knew more manners than most.
Kyle smiled "No problem," He said before pausing and continuing again, "Hey Kirsten, I know me and you haven't gotten to know each other, and I'd like to fix that. Would you like to go to the dance with me?" He asked with a nervous smile. Natalie giggled a bit at Caleb''s question. There really wasn't anything funny about the question, but she sometimes couldn't help but to laugh at random. "Traditional." She simply said, before walking away. |
Ana waved her friends off saying she'd catch up with them later "Alright what do you want Diggory" she hardly used first names unless she felt like it.
Kirsten looked at him and walked off but stopped "I'll think about it" and she walked away. Caleb had been happy that a girl whom normally wouldn't like him or his family had said yes to him but then it struck him, what would his family say? Mother is well...mother but still...Caleb was silent for a few days. Kirsten told Kyle the next day at Breakfast after it ended that she accepts for him to be her escort to the dance. She had been so busy with reading that even Ana didn't notice she was there most of the time. But getting out to a dance would be a good thing for her, she hoped. |
"Well, I must say, you're lack of interest surprises me." He said with a chuckle, "I would like to know if you want to attend the dance with me?" He asked, "You may tell me tommorow, I'm afraid I have classes to attend." He said before heading off. He eagerly awaited her answer the next day.
Kyle was extremely happy that Kirsten had agreed to him. He didn't expect it, especially not from her. Natalie had been wondering what her family would say after finding out a Malfoy was escorting her to the dance, and she assumed Caleb was wondering that same about his family. Both pairs of parents were enemies, and they wouldn't be happy that their children hooked up. |
Ana of course didn't want to be left out of having an escort to the dance so the next day she told Erin that she would accept his inventation and go to the dance with him. Almost everyone was surprised that Ana would go with Erin. Or that Caleb would go with Natalie. And even Kirsten was going with Kyle. Some of the students (and some teachers) wondered what in the world was going on and what was the big plan? (joke wise lol)

Erin bowed, "That is wonderful Ana. I shall meet you tonight, then?" He said, before walking away. He was certainly glad she had accepted, although that match-ups were slightly odd this year. People who would've never acknowledged eachother were now going to the dance together. It was very strange, and many students noticed it.
That night Natalie was very eager to attend her first ball. She'd been awaiting all week since agreeing to go with Caleb. She hadn't told her parents about it yet. She'd figure she would tell them after the ball. She just hoped she wouldn't have to take a visit to either one of the couples parents. Natalie put her hair up in a loose bun, a few strands of hair hanging out. As well as a long flowing white gown, with a purple necklace that her mother had made her a while ago. She looked like a completely different person, and even got a few stares as she made her way down to where the ball would be held, to where she would meet Caleb. Kyle had gone with a simple black tuxedo. His mother would have wanted him to dress up a bit more, but he didn't want to be wearing to much for Kirsten. Erin, dressing up as much as possible, had worn the same outfit his father wore at the dance that took place before the TriWizard Tournament. His father had actually been rather proud of him for sticking out and going with a Slytherin. (Hope you don't mind that I kind of snuck a timeskip in there LOL) |

Ana got ready that night, it might've been a semi formal dance but she was going to make the most of it while at it. She had chosen a long, elegant dress that went to her ankles. It was a powder blue with few sparkles here and there like glitter. Her hair was done up almost if she had a bun pinned back and her bangs were off to the side a single strang of simple curls. Her dress wasn't fabulous but her mother picked it out for her. It had spehgetti straps to tied around the neck. She wore white sandel like heels that were 3 inches tall, she wasn't the heel type of girl. Her necklace was like Kirsten's just a light blue color and a small rose in the middle of it. Kirsten was helping Ana out with her dress and fixing up her make up. Ana returned the favor, Kirsten picked out her own dress, she wouldn't dare let a guy pick it out for her. She had a long, figure forming dress that was easy to walk in and comfortable at that. It went just below her knees and was a nice lilac color. It had one inch straps that went from front to back. Her hair was down but her bangs were pulled back with a black rose. Kirsten wore a matching loose black choker to match. Caleb didn't want to over do it, so he wore a black and white Tuxedo (a bit simple but it looked really nice) His father wanted him to comb his hair back but Caleb said it wasn't his hair style though he did make it look a bit neater that normal. Kirsten was able to get her father to dress up a bit, she was getting him back for the 'respectable' speech. Everyone else was dressed up and most of the boys wore tuxes, some better than others, some not as expensive as others. The room as you enter for the small ball of the night had a lovely full peach white color moon with a yellow tint, a dark starry sky and white twinkling stars. The room had a small breeze and the floor was like marble as it would shadow those who dance around to the music or move with the crowd. |
Kyle and Erin each stood outside of the room at opposite sides of the entrance of the room, each eagerly awaiting their dates.
Natalie waited at the top of the set of stairs that stood right infront of the ball. (Eek, short, sorry X( ) |

Caleb walked at the bottom of the stairs seeing Natalie up top in the beautiful dress she was wearing. You'd almost think he had the wrong person, he didn't think she'd dress up to much really. Walking up the stairs to her he held his hand out to take hers but she would need to place hers on his. He was going to be a slight gentlemen tonight that was for sure. Ana and Kirsten walked arm in arm down the steps surprising people with how close they seemed to have been without anything happening from it. "Well, try and have a good night, Ana" "You too Kirsten, later you and I have to talk though" "Not until tomorrow right?" Ana nodded a bit to Kirsten but didn't look at her as they walked down each to their dates. Ana walked over to Erin as Kirsten walked over to Kyle. They both knew there was going to be fast and loud music later which they were both actually ready for. Their dresses were designed to have a second part to them thanks to Luna herself. |
Natalie smiled as she saw Caleb, "You look handsome." She said, before placing her hand ontop of his. She promised herself tonight she would forget all about the everlasting war between the Malfoys, and the Weasleys, and focus on Caleb and her, and what the future could look like. She would worry about the rest tommorow.
Erin and Kyle nodded at eachother, before looking at their dates. They both smiled, Kyle looking way more nervous than Erin. Erin had done tons of these dances afterall. Erin bowed quickly as Ana approached him, "Ah, Miss Ana, you look simply wonderful on this fine night! Would you care to dance?" He asked, holding out his hand for her. Kyle waved slightly at Kirsten. You could tell he hadn't done to many formal dances, and he was eagerly awaiting for music with a beat, but he did try his best. he held out his hand for her, "Do you wanna dance?" |
Caleb smiled "Thanks, I don't usually do well with suits" He replied honestly and led her into the dance room. "You look like a vision from a dream, makes me wonder if I am dreaming" he smiled adding.
Ana placed her hand in his "Of course" and added slightly lower "Just call me Ana" she didn't like formalities very much and right now it was almost time for the waltz. Luckily Kirsten had been able to show Ana the short steps and told her to let the guy lead. Kirsten thought maybe she might have to be the one leading and she smiled when seeing Kyle dressed up "Suit looks good on you" she spoke being nice. Taking his hand she nodded "I'd love to" Each couple moved into the room and started dancing. The music began playing and after a few minutes it ended with the sound of the waltz coming on. "Do you know how to waltz?" Ana asked Eric. The room was golden with a peacful early autumn theme, leaves here and there, a gentle slight breeze to keep everyone cool, and even decorations with a dj and singer as well. |
Natalie couldn't help but to blush a bit as he made the comment about her looking like she was from a dream. She smiled as she danced with him as much as she could normally before the waltz came on.
Erin slowly walked Ana out to the dance area, and slowly danced with her. He chuckled slightly as she asked him he knew how to do the waltz, "Why of course my dear." He replied with a smile. Kyle nodded as he danced with her. He sighed to himself as he discovered that he would have to do the waltz, for it wasn't one of his favorite styles of dancing, but he did in fact know how to. |
Caleb asked "Do you want to dance or sit?" he wouldn't have cared about the waltz, he knew how unlike his sister and would be able to lead if she wished to dance. Caleb would always give her the choice if she wanted it or not.
"I don't know much, only the few steps I was taught a couple hours ago" Ana replied a slight pink color of embarassment on her face but she didn't look away just laughed it off a tad bit. Kirsten replied "we can sit if you wish to" she was just waiting for the 'good' music to come on so she could show off her actual real dress. Looking over, Kirsten saw her father smiling and talking to Ana's mother whom seemingly came to see her children, Of course Draco was there as well, he was speaking to Kirsten's father when her father looked over. Kirsten glared at him and both gentlemen looked away. Kirsten went back to looking at Kyle's face. Thier parents were behind him, enough for her to see but she just ignored them. |
