The catamount was at their apartment for her Cinco De Mayo party and he told me how they tried to put it on the roof, but it was too heavy.

If mine wasn't so long of a drive, I could get extra sleep. Maaan. Yah, I am the closing MOD so I have to work a long shift with one break. Stinks :/

luckily i only have a two hour class and then I just have to come home and do stuff around my apartment. not too much but the class is spanish four and i really don't want to be taking it

but that does suck. sounds like the one time i had to work an 11-close shift at Chickfila with one break. that was by far the worst shift i ever worked

When does Chickfila close? and are you still working there while at school?

it closes at ten you either get out at ten thirty or eleven.

and no i work at the writing center now during the semester. so no work for me during the summer

Tutoring and such? I miss that. It was nice to help ppl with their papers, and working on their formatting. I am better at correcting for others than I am myself. I make mistakes and miss them completely. I guess a lot of ppl have that issue though.

Yep, I'm a tutor, which is sad because my online grammar and writing is just atrocious. I don't make much of an effort with it, but I know how to help someone with their paper and I've watched my own writing improve by leaps and bounds just from working at the place.

Oh, I know what you mean. And seriously. The more you work at writing, or helping others, it like...instantly comes back to you. My informal writing is horrible too. My spelling is all over the board, and lets not even talk about sentence structure ;)

It really is. It is kinda crazy but I'm glad my writing is getting better. It makes my papers so much better.

My informal writing is how I talk rather than how I write, so it has the weirdest backwards sentence structure, and I don't use capitilization as much as I should with my informal writing.

Psh. No one uses good capitalization or punctuation when informally writing. The trick is knowing when to use informal and when not to. I've seen some papers that... My god, might as well have been like, a conversation on AIM or something..... Some ppl can NOT write proper papers or letters to save their lives.

I literally saved this one girl, a fellow rugby player of mine from certain FAILZ on her final paper.

Oh yeah, I have definitely seen those papers, definitely. I saw a smiley face in a paper once and I was like 'really, really?' then promptly explained to them the finer of aspects of what should and shouldn't be in a paper

Hahahahaha. I love it! I mean. come on. College papers do NOT need smiley faces. It makes me sad, how formal writing has literally taken a nose dive straight into... I don't know... the pit of despair! It's because the ppl who GO to school for the most part after high school do it now cause it's expected, not because its what they want or NEED. Some ppl could care less. College shouldnt be about caring less, it should be about pursuing something you want for a change.

Yeah exactly and it constantly amazes me how many people come out of high school never having written a formal paper at all! I wrote my first formal research and analysis paper in 10th grade and had done a ton of informal ones before that. But so many people have no clue how to write a paper because until college they've never been taught how to! It is a sad state that our public school system is in, a very sad state.

I agree! We started prepping for college papers as a freshman in hs. I mean, nothing on the same scale, but we did research papers and all that cause our school was HUGE on the college prep. We even had three diplomas you could get. General Studies, College Prep, or Honors. I got College Prep even though I did honors classes too.

But it's true, I've seen it at my colleges too. A lot of my friends and classmates were CLUELESS on how to do write a analytical paper, let alone how to do the research for it. And a primary source? What's that?! hahaha

Oh my high school was so big on college prep that for the about first year and half of college I was sitting in my classes thinking 'I though college was supposed to be harder than high school?' It seriously amazed me and still does how easy my classes are sometimes.
