Cloud would nods and takes it from Zack "Alright." looking over watching Sephiroth for an moment. He turns around and heads back over to the chocobo. Cloud does what Zack explain to him and to his surpised this chocobo seem to be excited to see the saddle to be place on him knowing he was going to go out with the other to chocobo. So the chocobo was being an very good boy and behaving hmself while Cloud fixes the saddle on the back of the chocobo.

Zack went over to his own chocobo and began saddling him as Sephiroth offered his own the bit to its bridle. The chocobo leaned over and took the bit in its mouth and that left Sephiroth with the bridle part of it. Slipping it over the bird's feathered head he let it rest in the saddle horn. Lifting one of his legs he vaulted over the side and got into a sitting position on the back of Blix. Zack did the same as he came to stand next to Sephiroth's chocobo. They both glanced at Cloud to see how the other would proceed. Blix's brother was a rather meek bird, but a very strong one though. The two of them would make a good pair.

Cloud would get the bridle on the forest around the time both Zack and Sephiroth got onto their chocobos. He looks over at them before he looks back over at the chocobo who was now looking at him. He was kinda nervous a first about being thrown off. But he had to trust the chocobo wouldn't. He lifts one leg up into the stern and pulls himself up holding to the saddle horn as he place his other leg on the other side. "Wow at lease you are much better than the last chocobo I tryed to ride with." chuckles gently. As he was really happy within himself that he could do it with abit of help from Zack and Sephiroth.

Sephiroth found himself smiling as he saw the other male get into the saddle He was so sure that the chocobo would try and buck him off, but he was happy that the other didn't get thrown. "Alright," said Sephiroth. "Now take the reigns in your dominant hand and walk him around the paddock. Tap him in the side to move forward, pull his head to the right to go right, pull his head to the left to go left, and if you want to stop pull up gently on the reigns." Sephiroth then demonstrated everything that he had just told the blonde, and soon Sephiroth, followed by Zack, were walking around the paddock.

Cloud would do like Sephiroth told him to. "Alright." He taps the chocobo lightl to go forward and guides themselfs out of where the chocobo was. He was still surpise it was almost like this chocobo was made to bond with him or something. Cloud was always good with animals he just guess it took some time for a chocobo to form a bond with someone.And now that everyone was on their chocobos he would guess it would be time to go to where ever Sephiroth and Zack wanted to take him.

Sephiroth watched the other male, a smile planted on his handsome lips. The other was indeed quite the natural. Maybe he would be a racer in the end. That reminded him he had dome vacation time coming up, and it was a "requirement" that he bring at least two other people with him if he was to leave off the premises of ShinRa. "Alright," said Sephiroth. "It looks like you are getting the hang of it. So let's head out. We have a schedule to maintain after all." Spurring his chocobo slightly in the side again he left through the wooden gate. He made his way towards the large entrance and then waited for the other's to follow him.

It just seen natural with this even thought he finally was able to ride one. He nods and follows the other's lead aheading out of the wooden gate. Cloud taps the chocobo forward to catch up with the others. He would say something about the race but he didn't know where they was going maybe some other time when ever they had a break or something. "So what kind of place you two are taking me?" says he was still curious about it not sure if they would tell them or just keep it an surpised.

Sephiroth smiled when he heard the other's tentative question about where they were going. Quite frankly Sephiroth had only been there twice, and it was Zack that had showed it to him the first time. He remembered that the events that had led them to leave Midgar hadn't been pleasant ones.
It had been two years ago. After a round of injections, poking, and prodding Sephiroth all but had fled the compounds of ShinRa. Zack, who was his best friend at the time, and not yet a full fledged SOLDIER was charged with bringing him back, which he did. However, they took a small detour to one of the neighboring cities about a 10 minute chocobo ride away. It was a rather small town with an inn, and they were known far and wide for their home comfort foods. This is what Sephiroth wanted to show Cloud. The chef that made all of the foods was a Nibelheim native so it would give the other a taste of home. "Oh you'll see," said Sephiroth as a smirk played on his lips. |
Cloud would pout alittle but sighs gently. He looks over at Zack then back over at Sephiroth "Oh..alright..." It was a good thing chocobos was known about their speed so it wouldn't take them time to get to where ever. He had to be patience but it was so hard cause he wanted to know where they was going. It was an wait and see. At lease he would know they will have a good time and it would be good to get out and be away from the stress from training and so on.

As the three of them continued to ride. Sephiroth in the front, Cloud in the middle, and Zack taking the back in the event that they were attacked by monsters. It was relatively safe where they were going, but he wasn't taking any chances with either the blonde or the other male. As they continued to ride he saw the small town over the horizon. Urging Blix forward he stopped when he was at the top of the hill. "We're here, Cloud," said Sephiroth as he pointed over the ridge.

It was nice to be out even thought he knew the area had monsters but at lease both Zack and Sephiroth was there if anything happens. Cloud stops his own once they reach to the hill. He looks over at Sephiroth and looks to where they was pointing at "Wow that was quick. I'm glad we made it there with out any monsters attacking us." He was surpise cause he thought monsters would attack more at night than during the day.

Sephiroth was glad the other was happy to see where they were going. He hadn't been here in a while either. With the war in Wutai not going anywhere he was rarely allowed to leave since he had to train more and more SOLDIER recruits for battle. He rarely had any time to himself now a days. "Come on," said Sephiroth as he spurred Blix into a canter. They would be there in no time. As he continued to ride his stomach growled loudly, it was a good thing that they were almost there.

Cloud only wish the war in Wutai would stop but that was wishfull thinking. But at lease he was right about joining to do some good once he finishes his training but it would be far from finish. He felt his own stomach growl and knew it really work up his appetite. He spurs his chocobo and follows them into town. Cloud would nods "Alright I'm starving.." after hearing Sephiroth's stomach growl and chuckles alittle. "After all the training it really worked my hunger."

Sephiroth reigned in his chocobo as he came to a stop at the water trough. Getting off of his chocobo he tied the reigns to a nearby post, and then patted Blix's back. "You did good," said Sephiroth to his chocobo. On most cases Blix would go tearing off somewhere in a full gallop, so for him to slow down for the other two was a great feat of willpower. He waited for Cloud and Zack to do the same. Walking into the building he waved to the waiter as he walked to the usual table that he and Zack sat at. There were very few people in the restaurant so a few of the servers were sitting around. Another waiter came over after they were all sitting down and handed them all menus. Opening the menu he glanced at the various dishes that were there noting that there were a few new items. "Order whatever you want, Cloud. We're celebrating," said Sephiroth as he smiled at the other.

Cloud looks around once they had arrived and stopped. He got off his chocobo and ties it up also while he stretches alittle bit. He follows Zack and Sephiroth inside looking at. This place was nice something he rarely went mostly because he never had money to go out to anything yet. Cloud moves over and sat down at the table the others was sitting at. Taking a menu he looks it over and never see this much choices of food before. It was probbly more than what they serve there. He peeks over the menu at Sephiroth "Oh..ok." says while he looks back at the menu. It was hard to choose cause he never really tryed anything like what was on the menu cause it was so pricey. And also he didn't want to get anything to messy since last time he had dinner with them he spilled water on Sephiroth's lap. He looks over at the waiter who was standing there "Uhh....I guess I have the seafood patter...oh..wait maybe that will be to messy.." says not sure what to have cause anything on the menu was probbly would messy. And knowing the seafood patter there would be things that would be in a shell would be hard to get out. "Uhhh..."

Sephiroth watched Cloud fumble through his order feeling sad for the other. "Sir," said Sephiroth as he motioned to the waiter that was standing at the head of the table. "Can you please give us a few minutes. It's his first time here." The waiter nodded, as a smile graced his features, as he walked away from the table. He said that he would be back in a few minutes, to give them enough time. Sephiroth his his smile from behind the menu, but he would peek every now and again to see what the other male was doing. Zack leaned over and began helping the blonde try to figure out something to get since he had already picked what he had wanted. A waitress came over and filled up their glasses with water. Sephiroth was done as well with picking what he wanted to order. He, too, always got the same thing. "So have you decided yet?" asked Sephiroth as he looked around at the other from his menu.

He nibbles on his lip nervously guessing he just go ahead and order what he had already plan on. Cloud looks over at Zack who was helping before he looks over toward Sephiroth. Sighing deeply he nods "Yes I just go ahead and order what I already said eariler." He would have to be careful and not spill on anyone at the table. Especial in a nice place like this. Cloud looks at the waitress and told her to go head and give him what he had said eariler. He place the menu down on the table and reaches over taking a glass to get a sip from it.

Once the server left with their orders the atmosphere in the room became more relaxed. A few more people trickled in as the night progressed. He saw some of the other SOLDIER recruits and wondered how they knew about his semi-private little haven. Shrugging he took a sip of his own water as he waited for their food to be brought to them. The first course was brought to them. It was a light salad with dressing and some freshly baked bread.

Cloud was curiously looking about the room as it was very relaxing. Just a place to get away from the training and other stuff. He never knew how stressful it could get speciality what him and other recuits had been thru the past few days. But right now he just didn't want to think about it and just have a good time with his team mates. Cloud pokes at a cherry tomato with his fork before eating it. He also notice a few recuits and chuckles alittle "I guess there are some that knows about this place also." looking over at Sephiroth.

Sephiroth continued to eat his food as he glanced up once in a while to see if the other was enjoying himself. At least the other was eating. He didn't mean to toot his horn so to say when he said that a lot of people were always in awe of him when they first saw him. So he was glad that Cloud was not one of them, or at least he had an easier time not showing it. "So Cloud," said Sephiroth as he looked at the other. "What made you decide to join SOLDIER specifically and not just become a normal ShinRa recruit." He wasn't sure if he had asked that question already, but at least it was a conversation starter.

Cloud takes another bite of his salad as time to time he did look and watches Sephiroth before he takes another bite of his salad. The man before him was so handsom and well there was no word that could explain how handsome Sephiroth was. It was a surpise the man wasn't taken. He wanted so much to tell him how he felt but it did made it hard with Zack around. Not that he enjoyed hanging around with another SOLIDER. He heard Sephiroth start speaking onthe reason why he decide to join. "Well I did had an choice to be either a ShinRa recuit or being a SOLIDER. I heard SOLIDER get to go on special mission while ShinRa recuits are back up. And with the war going on I figure I would do much good being a SOLIDER." looking at him.

Sephiroth nodded his head when he heard the other say that he wanted to become part of the SOLDIER ranks because he wanted to become a fighter for ShinRa in the Wutai War. Sephiroth hummed again as he thought about what the real war could actually do to the other male. He had done two tours already, but had been called back to train more recruits. The Wutain lands were desolate in areas, and jungles in another. There were many things that lurked in the darkness of the jungles, and even in plain sight, and the Wutain warriors were no different either. The were vicious, cunning, and would stop at nothing to drive the "invaders" out. They had been at war for so long that Sephiroth nor Zack even remembered why they had gone to war in the first place. It probably had something to do with mako or materia for that matter. "That's very admirable," said Sephiroth. Before he could continue anymore the waiter came back with their main meals.

Of course he wasn't sure what he could do but he knew one thing. This war was destroying lifes..taking away love ones from their partners. At lease he didn't have to worry about losing a love one since he was single. But if there was some way he could help out he was all for saving another. Maybe one day he would find someone to love him and in return he would do the same. "Yes I think so..everytime I hear someone die..I do get kinda angry almost even though I don't show it. But it is sad to hear someone to lose a person they love in the war." says leaning back as he didn't want to finish his salad cause then he would be to full for their main meal.

The waiter deposited their various meals in front of them and Sephiroth found his stomach rumble a little bit. Not because he was hungry, but because he was highly anticipating this meal. He rarely came here with the raven haired SOLDIER member. Not because he didn't like it, far from it, but because he never really had the time. Between training new recruits and paperwork he never had time for anything anymore, so this was nice being among friends and comrades. Looking at the platter of food in front of him he began eating as he started on the broccoli that was there. He relished the taste of it as he continued to chew the rather fresh vegetable.

Cloud leans back once their meal had fianlly arrived. he couldn't believe how much food was on it. He grabs a piece of shrimp and dips it in the sauce before taking a bite.It was very good and also spice he liked it alot. It was much better than the other food but he wasn't about to tell Zack or Sephiroth about it. WEll at lease its better food where all the recuits eat at. Where Zack and Sephiroth ate they had good food but it couldn't compair with this place. It would probbly be a while since they had free time like this again so he figure he would take it slow and enjoy it.
