{I'm really sorry this took so long to re-post here, I am finally just able to catch up on everything}
Jaxon sat on the balcony thinking what else could he possibly put on the list to bring, but he had no ideas and nothing was coming to him. That was when he gave up completely and hoped that Farron would be alright with the small list that he had come up with. So, Jaxon decided that he would sit out on the balcony until he heard Farron come back and would try to explain his short list then. He leaned his head against the railing, it was a beautiful day and he was just glad that he could spend some of it outside for once. He looked up slightly, the view really was amazing and he was sort of glad that he got chosen to come her then to go somewhere else. He put his head back down and listened to the sounds, and felt the slight breeze and the heat of the sun, while he waited for Farron's return. |
Farron found his father in one of the many lounges. He was sitting before a roaring fire, with a glass of what Farron assumed was alcohol. He cleared his throat, and bowed as his father turned around. "You wished to see me?" asked Farron. He knew about what this conversation would entail, it was always the same after all. Marriage, marriage, and children. He was too young to have to even entertain the notion that he was going to get married. Besides, what about Jaxon? What would the other male feel after all. Farron could tell that the other male liked him, if not as a servant, but more. It would break his heart when he would see him and his future wife together. Biting his tongue he settled into a chair, and the two began to chat and discuss.
Letting out a sigh he glanced at the shifting sun. It had moved from the east, and it was high in the sky now. He was about to tell his father that he was going to the lake house with Jaxon and a few servants, when his stomach rumbled. His father eyed him, and he turned his head away. The two men then got up as they headed for the door. "I will get Jaxon for lunch," said Farron as he went hurriedly out the door, and back to his room, completely forgetting to tell his father that he would be leaving tomorrow. |
{Sorry, for taking so long exams are coming up for me now and I finally got a break}
Jaxon had fallen asleep slightly, sitting in the warmth of the sun and the gentle breeze that swept through his hair every so often. He hadn't really been thinking or dreaming about anything during that time it was just relaxing to him have dazed. Upon hearing footsteps echoing down the hall and into the room Jaxon had slowly started to come around again, when he heard the door open to the room though he jumped up slightly at a complete lose of time and went back into the room. Glad to see Farron again the first thing he said was "I'm sorry about the short list I really couldn't think of anything else." He looked over at the desk then back at Farron with slightly downcast eyes. On top of that all he was still trying to figure out how much time he has been asleep outside on balcony. Figuring that he hadn't been asleep that long made him feel slightly better and just waited for Farron to say something now. |
Farron continued to walk down the hallway with a rather grim look on his face. With each foot that hit the ground he thought of how he wanted to grind his foot into his father's face. Cursing out loud he rounded the corner, and entered his room. He saw Jaxon, who was out on the balcony, scramble to his feet in a hurry as he began sputtering out apologies for not making a long enough list. Striding over to other he looked at him and said,"That's alright. We might not even be going until the end of the week. I still need to tell my father, and besides there is some paperwork that I need to finish." He had a lot of marriage proposals after all to reject, at least for the time being. "Did you want to get lunch, or go exploring around the castle more?" He had already shown the other male his favorite place, the garden, and they already went into town. He could take him to the orchards or the pond near their estate. They could even have their lunch brought to them there.

Jaxon looked at Farron listening to what he said, hearing that they probably weren't leaving until the end of the week was a slight relief to Jaxon as it meant that he could probably think of more things to put on the list. When Farron asked if he want to go eat lunch or go exploring Jaxon had to think a moment, he was hungry and exploring did sound like a fun idea. He smiled then said "Doesn't really matter to me, both sound like a really good idea so it is up to you. Which would you prefer to do?" Jaxon looked at Farron as he waited and thought about what time it actually was, he had lost track while sitting outside and hadn't check when Farron came back into the room. Switching thought he thought about what paperwork Farron actually had to do, he thought that royals like him would have a relaxing lifestyle not having to deal with stuff like that. |

Farron smiled when he heard what the other had said. The other male was just too adorable. Coming up next to the other he took the other into his arms as he gave him a small peck on the cheeks. Pulling away from the other, he looked at him as he said," You are so indecisive sometimes. Though, it is rather adorable that you would want to do whatever I wanted." He thought for a moment as he made a "hmming" sound. Clucking his tongue he made a clicking sound as he continued as he said," We could always have the chefs come bring us a picnic luncheon outside near the gardens. We could go exploring, and we can eat as well." "Besides," he continued to think to himself. "It would get the two of us out of the main castle area for a bit." He didn't really want to be near his father right now. |

Jaxon blushed when Farron kissed him on the cheek and couldn't really hide it as Farron only pulled away so far before he started talking again which only made him blush more. He really has know idea why but it seemed like a nice compliment coming from Farron. He smiled then said "Umm thanks" he waited to see what else Farron had to say when he started to making clicking noises and then nodded when he heard about the compromise that he had come up with and said "Sounds great, where are we going to exploring?" This actually interested Jaxon he had thought that he had seem most of the castle by now and to find out that they didn't have to eat with the other royal family members was kind of a relife to him as he found it weird to be around them. |
Farron grinned as he heard the other say that he agreed with him. Sure, the other male had to follow his orders, but he would much rather have the other obey him out of love and adoration rather than fear. "Well the first thing that we need to do is go and find the chefs and tell them what we want them to make," said Farron. He thought another moment before he added,"What is your favorite kind of food? Was there something that you mother made for you before you came here?"

Jaxon looked at Farron then looked down saying "I don't really remember my mother, let alone the food she made for me." He then said "So, what ever you want to eat would be fine for me", he looked up at him and tried to smile a little. He had only been really small when he had entered this life style, not by choice of course but it is what he had grown up with and remembered most. He looked around the room a bit and then looked back down at the ground while waiting to hear what Farron wanted to eat.

Farron hummed a little bit when he heard the other speak. Sure, he had a mother and a father as well, but the question was did he ever receive love from them? Sure, he received any gift that he could possibly think of, sure he never had a want or a need, but was it really love? He cleared his throat as he looked towards the other. Farron smiled at the other, hoping that he could reassure the other with his answer. The other male was still tentative with his answers. Farron wondered briefly how he could possibly get the other male to come out of his shell "Well," started Farron. "Let's head back down to the kitchens. We can figure out what they have in stock and we can go from there." Farron held out his hand for the other male to take.

Jaxon looked up at Farron as he cleared his throat and and smiled when he saw him smiling. He was glad that he hadn't asked about it anymore and listened to what he had to say next. Jaxon nodded and took Farron's out stretched hand tentatively not really sure if it was right or not saying "That sounds like a pretty good plan, master". Jaxon quickly put his hand over his mouth when he said master and then looked down saying "Sorry". He knew that Farron had said it was alright to not call him that but it just naturally came to him now that it was going to be tough to get over it. He sighed a little then asked "So, are we going to the kitchen now?" he didn't really know what else to say but he wanted to try to make up for what he had said and he hoped moving on would change the topic. |

Farron furrowed his brow when the other took his hand in his own. Not because he had disliked the physical contact, but because the other male had called him "Master" again. He knew that it was going to be a hard thing to break Jaxon of, but he also knew that they had plenty of time. Then again, come to think of it, it was a good thing that Jaxon was making the slip up. He had said that he could call him by name in private, but not in public. It was going to be an interesting change indeed. Nodding his head, he strode out of his room, and towards the ornately decorated halls. Rounding the corners the closer he got the the kitchens the quicker the heavenly aromas of the food were hitting him. Inhaling deeply, he stopped in front of a door. "Behind this door is the kitchen," said Farron. "The chef is really picky about how certain things are done so don't touch anything unless you are asked to. He is pretty no nonsense, but he is also very fair." Farron opened the door, and a billow of steam came wafting out. The smell of fresh baked bread hung heavy in the air. "Let's have a seat up here," said Farron as he hopped up onto one of the bar stools in the center. The chef greeted them before going back to work. "So what are you hungry for. He can make just about anything." |
Jaxon followed Farron through the halls, he could smell the food as the got closer to the kitchen. When they stopped outside the door to the kitchen Jaxon listened to what Farron had to say and followed him in. The smeel was extremly strong now and was amazing. He looked around at what was going on and then sat down beside Farron making sure that he didn't touch anything. The chef seemed nice enough and really busy, taking it all in Jaxon almost missed what Farron had asked him. Thinking about it Jaxon looked around for a bit then said "What ever you are having will be fine."He had never really been given a choice before and really didn't know what he wanted but the aroma in the air was making him hungry and would be happy enough to get something to eat.

Farron thought for a moment, pondering what he should give the other. The harvest festival that they had gone to earlier gave him an idea. The apples, especially the apples of his nation, were the best in all of the land. He wanted something quick and not to fancy. They did have things to do after all during the remainder of the day. "Let's have some fresh bread, and some apple jam. I think you'll like that. You do like apples do you not?" He figured that Jaxon would say something that would appease him, but this was another one of his tests. He wanted the other to be independent. He wanted the other to be able to think for himself, and not just blindly follow him around because that was what he was used to.

Jaxon looked at Farron and said "Yes, I like apples. They were very good when we got them" he smiled a bit. He looked back at the chef then back at Farron saying "Apple jam will be a new thing though, what makes it different from normal jam?" He had tried normal jam once before but apple jam sounded different to him. Jaxon would wait for Farron to answer his question but was other wise fine with what he had chosen to eat.

Farron looked at the other male, debating if he had just said that to be agreeable or if he really liked apples. "Apple jam," started Farron as he tried to think of the right words to use. Apple jam was apple jam. It was just like regular jam, but made with apples. "Apple jam is just regular jam made with a different kind of fruit. There's all kinds. Strawberry, orange, peach, etc. It's really sweet. I think you'll like it." The chef, who had been eavesdropping at the time began cutting up the bread that had just been freshly made. Eavesdropping probably wasn't the right thing to call it since that usually meant that there was something malicious going on, but when working with finicky royals it was good to pick up a few tricks to make sure that they didn't have to wait too long. Soon two plates were put in front of them. Another plate was put in the middle of the two of them. This one was piled high with bread slices. The chef handed Farron a knife, the jar of apple jam, and then went to packing the lunch that they would be taking when they went into the fruit gardens.
Farron, with the knife in hand, dipped it into the jam jar and spread some on a piece of the bread. Once it was liberally slathered with the jam he handed it over to Jaxon as he placed it on his plate. "Here try it. It's really fresh. Picked earlier this week from our apple trees," said Farron as he continued as he made a piece of bread for himself. |
