Vocaloids
Has anybody heard of them/it
I have to say i truly do enjoy most music created using the Vocaloid2 programs. Its cool that you know anybody can use/make music with vocaloids but... nya its just getting too much music its hard to keep track of what coming out and such. any ways what do you think of vocaloids? if you have heard of them if you haven't feel free to ask on what it is. And if you just dont care then that's fine too just dont go "Why the hell would i listen to them?" |
I WAS LOOKING FOR A THREAD LIKE THIS!
and I'm glad I found it! 8D Oh I love them. I have a huge playlist on youtube full of vocaloid songs. I don't know what kind they are but I do know which one sung them. Ever since i got a computer that i could listen to music on and a good pair of headphones I have been listening to there music almost every day. what do i think of them? i think there awesome singers and I like how they look. although, I find a lot of miku's songs to be annoying since her voice is a little high pitched. P: |
yayyyy there's a VOCALOID thread :DDDDDD :glomp:
I love them too xD. Just like Momo-chaaan I have this huge playlist of vocaloid songs on youTube :3 I have no idea which version a lot of them are... although I can somewhat tell between the Append Versions of Miku and the Kagamine twins... >w< ... But yeah XD I have the lyrics in romaji to a lot of the ones that I couldn't find in the beginning (so. many. hours. of. replaying. =w=") but of course, they popped up on the internet afterwards XDDD. Some of meh faves are Rin, Miku, Meiko, Tei (that new yandere one xD), Lily, Luka, and Mizki =3 I think that they have awesome appearances xDD. Oh and... momochan: I found a lot of songs where Miku's voice is a little less high pitched, but that's because the music was made with her appends, usually Append Dark and Append Soft. If you want a few, I could give you links... 0.0 ... That is, if you don't mind some heavy music XDD.... |
sure! 8D I would love link to them! :3 if you wouldn't mind giving them to me, then pleeeeeeeas?
hahah! Yeah, I listened to a lot of them over and over again, and sometimes they would get stuck in my head or I would sing them while I did stuff around the house. So far, I really like Luka, and Gumi. They have really nice voices. c: I like the other ones, but a lot of the stuff i added to the list recently are from them. |
haha xDD.
Okay okay.. erm... here's a few that you may or may not have heard yet xD: YouTube - ‪ YouTube - ‪Hatsune Miku - ALICE iN BLACK MARKET (English Subbed)‬‏ YouTube - ‪Hatsune Miku - Imitation (with PV) - VOCALOID‬‏ YouTube - ‪ YouTube - ‪{ YouTube - ‪ xD. I get a lot of them stuck in my head, and then I always go one to make up like... new Vocaloids in my head and have them sing the same song >w< ... I really wish I had the software to make my own voice bank DX I have a lot more videos where that came from too, if you like the kinds of stuff I posted up there xD. You should also look for (on youtube) "First Virus Resistance" by Rin. It a trilogy and it's so amazing I can't even describe it >w< |
I had my headphones on full blast, so when i played it, it scared me a little and I had to turn it down. XDDD
I'm pretty sure I have heard imitation before! Not sure if I have it on my playlist, though. ^^ so far I have liked the songs. Your right, her voice isn't so high pitched, and I'm glad. ohh! I'll have to look it up and listen to it. c: it sounds like it would be pretty cool. I actually wish i had the program so i could try and make music with it...I would probably suck at it, but it would still be fun. |
Yay for Vocaloids! I'm trying really hard to make a Hatsune Miku cosplay for an upcoming con! Though vocally I like Megurine Luka and Kaito. Okay, Miku is good in some songs toooo, but sometimes she's squeakier that I would like.
I think the concept for Vocaloids enabling aspiring artists to create music through a program that will sing for you is a wonderful idea. I mean, there are many genius composers out there that need a voice for their music that find it in Vocaloids! Plus a Vocaloid is capable of performing melodies that may be difficult or near-impossible for humans to replicate (i.e The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku). Matryoshka, Rolling Girl, Saihate (ballad version), the Little Mermaid... Those are a few favorites of mine. |
I am a fan of Megurine Luka. :3 Not to say Miku isn't okay or anything, but I like Luka's voice the most. There's this song called Bullet for Prsioner and it's currently my favourite song of hers. It's pretty sad, I cried when I first heard it.
There's an upcoming anime convention this October and I really want to go. I am actually planning to cosplay Luka in her Sandplay Singing of the Dragon outfit. My friend, said she was going to try to cosplay as Miku. I remember when my friend, Gabby got me into Vocaloid. She asked me if I knew of them and I just gave her a blank stare. xD She showed me a couple of songs of Miku and the Kegamine twins, since then I have been hooked. Oh! Speaking of, I love love love Len's voice. >.< It's just so cute. He sings one song called Servant of Evil and it completely made me ball my eyes out. ;o; It still does. >.< |
Lol xD
Luka is really amazing :3 She's one of the vocaloids that can be used for many different kinds of music ^^ Heyheyhey -- I have a very long list of vocaloid songs that are readily available on YouTube, so if anyone ever wants the list, I can PM you or email you or something :boogie: |
I have to concur with you guys that Luka is amazing. when i first started listening to vocaloids i really didnt like miku because i wan't use to her voice but now she's one of my favorites along with Luka.
I actually went to the Mikunopolis concert in LA. And it was awesome. Its amazing how popular this has gotten. I remember when there was only Miku, the Kegamines, and Luka plus the previous vocaloids like Kaito and Meiko. I remember explaining these to people and they be looking at me weird.... although they still do lol. but not so much because i've actually made people listen to them and watch video so they inderstand this wonderful concept that is Vocaloid ---------- Has anyone actually heard the nico covers or covers in general for the vocaloid songs? |
I don't pay much attention to names, but I know I loved Gakupo. He's Gackt's. X3
And~ here are two of my favorite Vocaloid songs: "Breathe" by Gakupo And one of some guy dancing to Zebra & Hashiyan's "Matoryoshika" |
alice human sacrifice and the world is mine-miku hatsune are my favorites :D
|
@Hey-Lee: Matryoshka is SO catchy. ♦_♦ I repeated "rendezvous" for days...
|
Have any of you guys listen to Alice in Musicland. Its awesome 12 mins long but very worth it

UNI, THAT WAS ADORABLE~♫
:squee: I love it sooo much. |
I know right!
i just saw it yesterday and thought it was one of the most awesome-st things that was done with vocaloids. im so hooked on it. i showed it too my non-vocaloid friends and even they enjoyed and loved it. oh yeah |
I assume people would know or get curious and search them up. Since everybody seems to be spreading their name quickly. I do like them and I have some of their songs but I'm not in the 'all the rage' way, unlike most people in my family are. ^^ Though it is cute when my niece dances to Luka song Just Be Friends.
|
@Agent HEY-LEE: I didn't know Gackt had a vocaloid! Haha, pretty awesome stuff.
@Uni: Awww! I agree. It's so cute. > w< I don't know too many vocaloids, but out of the few I know, I have to say that Deco*27 (a vocaloid author) is my favorite~ He has a lot featuring vocaloids in his work (from what I've found so far :s ). He also throws in his own vocalized voice sometimes which is pretty nice. Here are three that I like. This one features Marina. 05. Aimai Elegy feat. marina - DECO*27 (Aimai Elegy) This one features Miku Hatsune with Deco as the backup vocals in the chorus. Actually, I'm not sure if Deco*27 wrote this one. XD [Miku Hatsune] Love like Sh*t [Deco*27 / SoAiTheory] This one is just him, but not an original song of his. And reading through the comments, it's just autotuned, but apparently that's his "signature style." Hope [DECO*27] |

That's awesome. when my niece was younger i would play her the music box version of just be friends and she would like it but now she's more into spanish corridos.... lol Quote:
Oh Deco*27 my favorites are Ai Kotoba and Ai think so |
Does anybody use Mikubook? that's where i now get most of my vocaloid stuff
|
@Uni: YES! I've been trying to spread this Musicland thing ever since I saw your post yesterday! :eager: The beginning Disney-esque acapella really got to me. So good~
@Kanna: Vocaloids are more of a craze in Japan. Other places, it's just a mild "okay, that wasn't so bad" sort of thing. @Ikuto: Hmm. Sounds pretty nice~ :D I have to say I like Oster Project, like the Musicland thing. And ryo. @Akuma: I can't say that I've heard of it. Is it a search site of some sort? :O |
@Uni: Ooh. That does sound pretty awesome.
"Ai Kotoba" (the one I listen to anyway, it's a remix apparently) sounds so smooth and mellow~ @Aer: Do you have any links? :eager: |
Ryo made some signature Miku songs, such as Love is War, World is Mine, and Black Rock Shooter (this one reminds me of Rin, hehe~).
And Oster Project made that Musicland thing you saw before, as well as Len and Rin's Trick and Treat. To be honest, I kind of liked Oster Project's non-Vocaloid music too. |
I love the vocaloids.
They are so much fun to listen to... In fact my phone has alot of their songs :) |
@Aer: Oooh~ I'm loving the "Love is War" one. "World is Mine" is pretty funny. XD
And heeey, I've heard "Black Rock Shooter" and "Trick or Treat" before. Didn't know who they were by or anything though. Woot! Thanks. |
