Lucy sighed with exhaustion. She knew Cameron was nervous about Andrew finding out... scratch that, he was terrified! Still... she wouldn't be able to do it alone. "Maybe, maybe not, but I think that the only way he'll calm down enough to actually let us do this assignment is if we point that out to him. He has this nasty habit of seeing the worst when it comes to protecting me. essentially... he really will think that you'd gotten me pregnant and he'll be ready to kill you. Good new is, I know what he's like and my parents know what he's like. We should be able to get you out of the way of any attacks he sends your way and then we, yes you included, will have to explain to him, with physical proof, that this is a school assignment and that I am in no way pregnant" she explained. This was not going to be easy. With a sigh, Lucy slipped her hand into Cameron's and squeezed it lightly. "Don't worry... if he hurts you, then I'll be your personal nurse. Partly as punishment to him... but mostly because I'd like to" she reassured him.
Kevin absorbed the water that was sent his way and snapped his whip, sending razor-like leaves towards Katerina. Oh, come on!!! Give up already! He really wasn't into fighting. Perhaps he should just end it early. He produced another whip and began to bombard her with razor leaves. In the meantime, he was whipping away any attacks she sent his way as he gathered vines, strengthened by her water, to immobilize her. Andrew paused when Aria answered his question. When did she start looking so gosh darn cute!? He cleared his throat "well, you have it simple, really. Just... throw your voice at me. I don't know the physical mechanics of it, but Lucy told me that's what she does. It'll come to you. Here, throw me an attack for practice, don't worry, I'll block it" he offered and set up a fire shield. |
Cameron didn’t hold in his derisive snort at Lucy’s obvious statement. “No really?! I could have told you that! He was breathing down my neck, threatening me with body harm if I even so much as looked in your direction.” he retorted. Ok so maybe he was being a little silly here but he wasn’t like other guys! He loathed dueling and fighting, true it was mostly because his dad’s athletic genes had skipped right over him but also: his so called gift wasn’t exactly designated for fighting. He gave Lucy his most pleading look trying to look as cute possible. She couldn’t resist this look, no girl could resist that look, not even his mom! She wouldn’t let her brother anywhere near him and while she’d already said as much he didn’t want a verbal promise he wanted more-on that note he didn’t need to wait long before Lucy found another way of convincing him.
His eyes widened and what ever fears he’d felt promptly disappeared. “P-personal nurse?” he stammered out. He wasn’t thinking of every other boy’s perverted fantasy of a personal nurse. Nope, he couldn’t think of Lucy (or any girl) like that. But if he really let him think about it…oh gosh Lucy would look so cute in one of those old fashioned nurse outfits! Immediately his thoughts started wandering towards what other costumes she might look cute in…thankfully he managed to get his distracted mind under control and turned his attention back to Lucy with a soft smile. “Well…when you put it like that…being beaten up by your brother doesn’t sound that bad.” He said with a chuckle as he squeezed her hand in return. Katerina wasn’t going to give up. She wasn’t going to lose to a pansy like him! No way. Grunting she slammed up another solid wind shield to send a handful of Kevin’s razor like leaves ricocheting back at him. Sadly she couldn’t keep up with his attacks no matter how hard she tried. She was literally putting everything she had into her shields to try and keep the leave from hitting her but her shields were faltering. She bit a yelp as one leaf raked across her bare skin leaving a painful scratch behind. By this point she was feeling very tired, holy crap who would have through putting up a decent shield could make her so tired? Shaking her head she forced her self to focus and produced a mini tornado and hurled it at Kevin-not that it ever reached him. Like her shields, her tornadoes took quite a bit of energy to produce and this one was small scaled compared to the usual ones she sent flying in her duels and this one didn’t even come close to hitting Kevin. Ok this wasn’t good…this wasn’t good at all. She shouldn’t have wasted her strength on those stupid shields! Any other time she would have plowed ahead with the offensive attacks but she hadn’t, she’d wanted to draw out his humiliation and make it worthwhile. Clearly that had been a bad idea. Aria’s lips curved up in a soft smile before she quickly smothered it by biting her lower lip. She wouldn’t worry, if anything she’d enjoy shocking him just a little. “A-alright if you’re sure…” she murmured forcing a stammered into her voice as she lifted a slim hand to brush a stray tendril of hair out of her face before she launched her attack. She took a deep breath before she let loose a loud shrill scream. Her eyes widened in slight amazement as she watched the air in front of her ripple with the force of her attack as it flew towards him with dangerous intent. But that wasn’t the only thing that caught her attention. Uh oh..had she really just broken a window? Flushing slightly she looked towards the damage she’d caused before looking back at Andrew to see how her attack had affected him. |
Lucy bit back the smile and giggles that threatened to overflow when she heard his reaction. But she wasn't able to hold them back for long. Soon enough, she'd burst into a fit of giggles. She felt the urge to kiss him right there, but that was moving way too fast. Just because she wanted it, didn't mean now was the right time to do so. Friday maybe? Instead, she contented herself to wrapping her arms around his in a strange little hug "You know what... all this planning is making me anxious. Why don't we look over the assignment details so we know what we have to do" she suggested, her eyes shimmering with delight.
Finally! The Witch was winding down! Noticing her weakness, Kevin sent as many vines as possible to wrap around her like a Boa Constrictor. He was absolutely sick and tired of her. He'd pay for today sooner or later, he was sure of that, but in the meantime he'd just relish in the knowledge that this "pansy" has just kicked her butt up one side and down the other. Just because he didn't like to duel didn't mean he didn't know how. Just because he liked gardening didn't mean he was girly. Thankfully, blessedly, the coach blew his whistle "the win goes to O'Reily. That's it, everyone! Get changed before the bell rings!" the coach announced, signalling the end of class. Andrew winced. Aria's scream had been timed just when the coach blew his whistle. "Geez! Alright, first off, that was very good. Second off, try to work on throwing your voice instead of actually screaming. Yes, I do mean learn how to be a ventriloquist. If you do that enough, your vocal chords will get damaged and then your power will weaken. You actually have the ability of throwing sound without making a single sound yourself, unlike the average ventriloquist. It'll take practice, but until then... take care of your voice" Andrew complimented and headed towards the locker room with Nick. That's when he found Kevin, looking absolutely livid. "What's going on?" he asked. Kevin held up what he found in his locker. "I'm going to kill her" was his only response. Andrew sighed heavily and turned to Nick. There was no way this could be anyone but Katerina. This was just so like her! "Well... what are you going to do? Deal with it like you always do, or tell someone about it?" Andrew asked. "Oh, I'm telling alright. This is the last straw. She should just be glad that I'm tired from our duel" Kevin flared and stormed away, the offending objects in his hand, he was headed for the coach. "Well... let's just hope those two figure out some sort of peace-treaty" Andrew commented with a sigh before moving to his own locker. |
At the first sounds of Lucy’s laughter all Cameron could do was stare at her. Was she laughing at him? No he hadn’t done or said anything funny. But even so her laughter was so cute! It wasn’t like other girls. Other girls tittered or tried to hold back their laughter. Lucy didn’t seem to mind laughing in his presence. Chuckling softly he arched one brow watching as she giggled. “Well I’m glad you find my impeding death funny.” he deadpanned. He was still worried he just wasn’t as worried. How could he be worried when he had his own personal nurse eagerly awaiting a chance to help him heal? His smile grew happier as Lucy gave him a hug. He could get used to this. Forget about silly little kisses he’s much rather be the recipient of her sweet little hugs. “Alright lets go over the assignment.” he said nodding in agreement.
Katerina wasn’t hurt, sure she was scratched up a little but the only thing that had been truly harmed was her pride. And oh boy was it stinging now. Sighing she laid there on the mat for a few minutes before she finally stood up and started trailing after the other students. She couldn’t believe it. She’d been beaten by The Pansy! She couldn’t stand for this, she had to retaliate! Her prank for today wasn’t going to be enough. She had to humiliate him so much more…She took her time making her way to the locker rooms. By the time she’d gotten close enough to boy’s locker room she stopped with a faint smirk on her face to admire the handiwork of her latest prank. Her day wasn’t a complete and utter waste. When Kevin came out of the locker room with her lovely little gift in hand she didn’t bother holding in her laughter. “Awwww what a cute outfit! Its just your style and color!” she called out after him her laughter trailing after him tauntingly. How ever it cut off suddenly as she noticed him walking towards the coach. Uh oh that couldn’t be good. He wasn’t going to do what he usually did. She hesitated for a moment debating what to do. He was going to tell, that pathetic little wuss was going to tell on her. She could stay and deny it but it was pointless. She was the only person that tortured Kevin day in and out…Yea she’d just go and get change and then she’d sneak out of here before the coach came and found her. Without further hesitation, Katerina disappeared into the locker room to change. Aria looked at Andrew in mild annoyance. She’d tried shocking him or at least surprising him and instead all she’d managed to do was embarrass herself. He clearly knew more about controlling sound than he’d let on and he hadn’t thought it was useful to let her know. In the beginning before she’d embarrassed herself. “Right…I’ll remember that.” She said coolly crossing her arms over her chest as she watched him walk away. “Take care of your voice..” she muttered darkly doing a pretty good imitation of Andrew. Like she didn’t already do that! Huffing softly in annoyance she made her way to the locker rooms silently fuming. So he hadn’t embarrassed her by kicking her butt in her first ever duel, then again maybe duel was the wrong word... Anyway he hadn’t embarrassed her at all, she’d done it all by herself! None of this was helping her to feel any better. Grumbling she stepped into the locker room only to come very close to being knocked over by a rushing Katerina. “Would it kill for you to say excuse me? It’s not that hard its too little words. Surely even you have them in your limited vocabulary.” She snapped after Katerina’s retreating figure. Versus the usual retort or comment she’d get all she got form Katerina was a distracted grunt as she changed out of her p.e. clothes and into her regular clothes. Nick felt bad for Kevin, he really did. But on the other hand he couldn’t help but admire Katerina for her guts. She was always picking on Kevin for one reason or another and she pranked him relentlessly. On the bright side she never used the same prank twice and she was good for a laugh. Prank wise that is. Personality wise he couldn’t really stand being around her. He didn’t even understand how Angela and her other friends handled the rebellious prankster. The fact that they managed though made him feel nothing but respect for Angela and her group of friends. Seeing Kevin’s angered form stalking off to report Katerina he shook his head. “I don’t think that’s a good idea. If he tells on her she’d just dislike him even more and increase her antics. Why doesn’t he just fight fire with fire and prank her back? It might even help him gain her respect.” he pointed out as he walked over to his own locker. When P.E was called to an end Liam stretched slowly letting his gaze roam lazily around the gym. Where was his target? His gaze zeroed in on the girl Katerina had described to him and he let out a soft ‘hmph’ of amusement. A good girl, why was she so keen on him corrupting this girl? He’d tried asking but she’d quickly shushed him and left it at ‘my friend needs someone to take her for a walk on the wild side’. Personally he resented that remark, he wasn’t wild, he was just..stubborn and set in his views and thoughts on certain things. That little was more than enough to make him a delinquent in the school’s eyes. Shaking off his distracted thoughts he brought his attention back to Katherine and pondered how to go about meeting her. Hmm..he could come up with an elaborate scheme or he could just go with the more traditional method. Traditional method it was. He put a vague somewhat dazed expression on his face as he drew closer to Katherine. Once he deemed himself close enough Liam purposely allowed himself to bump ( a little roughly) into Katherine. “Oops, sorry about that..” |
Andrew shook his head "he's not the type to do that to her. I actually asked him that once, and he told me that he couldn't even fathom bringing that much pain and humiliation to someone. He's been on the receiving end of that way to many times, cruel pranks most times. As much as he loathes Katerina, he can't bring himself to hurt anyone, even her, that much" he explained as he slipped into his school clothes.
"Hey, Coach, my clothes have been stolen and replaced with this atrocity. As I don't intend on walking around school like this and I'm unable to go into the girl's locker room, could you do me a favor and help me acquire my clothes?" Kevin asked just after Katerina called out to him "let me guess... Katerina?" he asked. Kevin shrugged "probably, I don't believe there's anyone else that would do so" he answered. "Head to the office and get some spare clothes, I'll send in a female to get your clothes" he answered "thank you, sir" Kevin answered and headed off to his next class. Katherine gasped and quickly regained her footing before she looked at who had run into her. She recognized him, it was Liam, he was in many of her classes. "Oh... it's alright, I'm sure it was just an accident" she answered timidly before heading off to her next class. If he still wanted to talk to her, he could follow her. They had classes together the rest of the day. She wanted to get to class. Unlike Liam, she wasn't in the practice of being late. |
Nick shook his head in silent amazement as he changed out of his P.E clothes. Well good for Kevin. Although personally if he’d had to deal with that much crap he would have snapped eventually, true he was relatively mellow for the most part but like everyone he had his limits. And apparently so did Kevin. Only he would have reached the end of his rope long before now and he wouldn’t have hesitated one bit to get payback. Not that’d actually hurt a girl but he wouldn’t hesitate to prank her back. He didn’t see how a harmless little prank here or there could hurt anyone. Then again he’d been watching Katerina prank Kevin day and day out. How could he not see the affects her pranks had had on his friend? “Alright I can see his point….so if we pranked her back and got some payback for him it would count as him causing her any pain or humiliation. Would it?” he asked flashing his friend an impish grin as he finished changing and picked up his book bag ready to head off to his next class: Photography.
Katerina couldn’t seem to get out of the locker room fast enough. Usually she took some time to try and make herself look like she hadn’t just been pushed through some silly workout routine in P.E-hey she was a girl and she did like to look nice from time to time- but today she didn’t have time to fix her ponytail. For once in her life she was eager to get to chemistry. And it had nothing to do with the stimulating lecture on moles, protons and ions she’d no doubt getting after her last horrible test grade and everything to do with avoiding the Coach and his assistant. She’d been in here any moment to retrieve Kevin’s clothes. Speaking of which: should she toss those in the trash or take them with her? Uh…she’d toss em. She wasn’t going to get caught with the evidence! Once she’d finished changing and easily disposed of the evidence she took off for chemiastry only realizing the flaw in her plan too late. Crap! He was the director of discipline. Meaning that if Kevin told-which he most definitely had!- the coach what had happened the word would spread fast. So either way she was still going to get caught. She could skip but for once she’d actually felt some drive to attend this class! Biting back a curse Katerina brushed a hand through her hair as she stood outside the room silently debating what to do before she stepped in slapping her most innocent look on her face as she greeted the teacher. “Hi Mr.Landon!” she chirped perkily before heading off in the general direction of her seat. Ewww…she sounded perky! She wasn’t perky she was just….well desperate. The last thing she wanted was to spend more time at school trying to make it look better as a part of Mr.Landon’s idea of discipline. Couldn’t he find something better to do besides turning her into a glorified under aged maid? Ah…a shy one. Liam chuckled softly and shook his head at Katerina’s absentmindedness. It would have been helpful if she’d mentioned that little tidbit. Oh well now that he knew it he could put it to use. Wait…didn’t he have classes with her. Huh, now that he thought about it he did have classes with her. He hadn’t noticed that before…then again he wasn’t really in the habit of going to his classes all that often so it was no wonder he hadn’t noticed her. After watching her scurry of into the girl’s locker room he went and took his sweet time changing before heading off to his next class. True to form it was a good five minutes after the bell had rang before he languidly strolled into the classroom his lips curled up in a soft smirk as the teacher reprimanded-or rather attempted to reprimand him- for his tardiness as he took his usual seat in the back of the room. |
Andrew chuckled "yeah, it probably would. I doubt he'd be very happy about it. I don't know, he finally snapped and decided to do something about it and Katerina's not likely to be all that excited about that particular detail. I've got to head to Chemistry, let Kevin handle things on his own. He's not exactly the type to suffer in silence, wait until he starts asking us for help before you start planning anything" he suggested as he picked up his bag and began walking towards Chemistry. "What do you think of Aria? She's my Chemistry partner" he asked.
Josh Landon looked up when he heard Katerina's cheery greeting. He'd already been called by the PE coach, informed about the situation. "Miss Groves, come here please" he asked. Once Katerina was in front of his desk, he began filling out a detention slip. Her aura just screamed maliciousness, and it was all aimed at Kevin O'Riley. Maybe if they were forced to be in the same room together, they could come to an understanding. It was time this came to an end. Ripping the slip from his pad, he handed it to Katerina. "Miss Groves, Coach Palmer just informed me of the situation in gym. Not only did you enter the boy's locker room, this is harassment, bordering sexual harassment. Now, before I send this case to the principal, I'm giving you one chance to smooth things over with Mr. O'Riley. Now, you're scheduled for detention with Mrs. Kathartin, the Herbology teacher. You will do as she says. Kevin stays after school to help her out anyway, so you will be working mainly with him with whatever task you're given. use this time wisely to patch things up. I'm not saying become best friends, I'm saying reach a truce, because if this continues I will be forced to report you to the principal and I'm afraid you'll probably be expelled, based on your record. Bring an end to this, and you won't be expelled" he enforced, his voice low so other students won't overhear. Katherine looked to the side when Liam sat next to her. "We're in chapter 8, page 250" she told him softly so he could at least attempt to follow along. Of course, unless he was a math genius, it wasn't likely that he'd ever catch up. He'd have to get all A's in order to do well. She didn't know his grades, but all his tardies and absences added up. His grade can't be doing too well. |
Kevin ask for help? He didn't doubt that that would happen at some point, but he didn't want to wait. He had payback pranks in mind. They weren't anywhere near as devious as Katerina's pranks usually were but they were pretty damn funny. In his opinion anyway.. Sighing he nodded in agreement with his friend before he picked up his back pack and trailed after him. One brow arched softly in curiosity as Andrew asked about Aria. "Uhh..she's ok i guess. I'm not really a fan of screamers though. She about burst my ear drum with that last stunt. You told her to talk to Luce right? From the sounds of things she needed some serious help with dueling. With some practice she might be alright but without practice she'll just have raw power and we both know that doesn't help much in a long duel." he pointed out before seeming to understand. Oh, Andrew wasn't asking about Aria in a duel-wise manner. He was asking what he thought of her as a girl. Frowning he gave a soft shrug. "She seems kind of shy...well not shy but quiet. I don't think I've ever seen her without a book. And then today..well she didn't seem to like you helping her." he said as he walked beside Andrew.
There was no hiding it: she was so busted. She knew it, the teacher knew it.everyone knew it. Sighing she stepped forward and crossed her arms over her chest leveling Mr.Landon with a dark glare. Muttering darkly, she rudely snatched the detention slip out of his grasp her head jerking up a his comment about harassment. "What? That's bull, it isn't harassment and its certainly not sexual harassment. I wouldn't do anything of the sort with that girly geek! Seriously, he's more of a girl than I am!" she sputtered her voice rising somewhat. It became downright shrill though the moment she heard what her detention consisted of. "No! You're kidding me! This is wrong, this is...look I'll mop the floors, I will scrub the damn bathroom on my hands and knees. But please don't make me work with him. Make me work with anyone else and I'll do it with a big old grin on my face. But if you put with him I'm telling you I'm going to end up strangling him with a vine, beating the daylights out of him or worst of all killing him. I've never killed anyone and I don't want to start now! Isn't there some type of agreement we can come to Mr. Landon? Please?" she was all but pleading now. She couldn't be expelled, but she couldn't work with him either. Wasn't there an in-between option? Once settled into his seat, Liam prepared to rest his head on his desk and zone off like he usually did in his classes but a voice stopped him. One eyebrow arched in curiosity he let his gaze meet the owner of the voice a faint frown gracing his features before recognition lit up his features. "Thanks.." he murmured flipping to the page his features quicklyclouding over in confusion. Whoa..when was the last time he'd actually attended this class? A long time ago..."Ok...this makes no sense." he muttered scratch back of his head |
Andrew mused over what Nick had said "I think she's kind of cute. A bit of a handful, yeah... but cute. I think she's very independent. but then again, maybe she just doesn't like me" he speculated as he headed towards Chemistry "Hey, I'll see you later, alright? Give Ange a big hug for me" he told him when it was time to part ways.
"Oh, believe me, you won't be able to touch him unless he wants you to. You'll be in his element and you won't have any power over him at all. Yes, this is your punishment. Maybe it'll knock some sense into your head about your actions. If you enjoyed mopping floors, as you claim, then it wouldn't be a punishment. You're facing expulsion, Miss Groves. You're going to have to seriously fix this in order to stay here. You'll serve detention in the greenhouse, and that's final" Mr. Landon enforced, waving her away. Unfortunately, she and Kevin were lab partners. Oh well. Katherine smiled shyly "if you like, after school today I can go over what we've been studying to catch you up" she offered quietly, still taking notes. She paused and looked over at him, tucking her hair behind her ear she gave him a soft smile. You know... he was kind of handsome. |
Nick widened his eyes dramatically as Andrew talked about Aria. "No way, a girl doesn't like you? That's unbelievable, its unheard of. I think this Prince is losing his charm!" he gasped a little too dramatically before laughing and giving his friend a playful shove to show he was kidding. Andrew wasn't losing his charm. He'd just found a girl who was more interested in her books. Knowing Andrew he'd find a way around it. "Alright will do, have fun in chemistry. Although if I were you'd I'd watch out. Katerina's probably on the war path." he cautioned with a soft grin. Now that he'd pay to see, the girl wasn't really threatening. She was just... a handful to say the least. He was still chuckling in amusement over the possibilities of what might happen in Mr.Landon's chemistry class as he walked into his photography class.
When he spotted Angela his grin turned into a warm smile. He ran forward and enveloped her in a big warm hug before pressing a soft kiss to her lips. "The hug was from Andrew." he explain his smile turning somewhat lecherous as he stole another kiss. "And that kiss was from me obviously." Katerina glared at Mr.Landon unflinchingly for several moments before she finally looked away a string of dark curses spilling form her lips as she turned and stomped towards her seat. Unbelievable. She'd offered to do a different sort of detention-she'd willingly offered and he'd shot her down. he was honestly going to make her work with this dork! Sliding into her seat she pegged Kevin with a dark scowl. Usually at this point she would have fired of some fiery remark or some rude joke but she was so mad right now she couldn't even speak! She wanted to hit something. Over and over again. She didn't care that she'd been caught, she was used that. She was more concerned with the fact that she was going to get expelled if she didn't do the assigned detention with the assigned person. They couldn't do this to her. Could they! She glared up at Mr.Landon again while whispering softly. "I hope he gets horrendously disfigured in chemistry experiment gone wrong." Liam's brow arched upwards in clear surprise. He wasn't surprised that she'd offered, he was used to girls offering to help him...He just hadn't expected her to do that. Not yet, she seemed kind of shy...Then again she was helping him out and it did mean less work. Heh, looked like he had a date. A studying date that is. Not that he really intended to study. "I'd like that. I'm not that good at math..thats kind of why i don't attend class." Ok that was a lie, he failure to attend class wasn't that pathetic. He just didn't want to come to class. |
Angela grinned happily and kissed Nick back "come on, I already have the assignment for today. The usual place?" she asked as she led her boyfriend to their little oasis they always went to during photography class "how was PE? Did anything interesting happen?" she asked.
Kevin rose an eyebrow as Katerina glared at him, but then shrugged it off and kept reviewing the assigned chapter to have an idea of what they were talking about today. She was probably just upset at him for telling on her. She couldn't exactly expect him to do nothing about it, though. He was a "wimp" (as she claimed) but he had his limits on what he could handle. Katherine rolled her eyes "sure... that's why you come late to every other class, assuming you come at all. I've seen you in Heavens and Underworld, you're almost consistently late. I don't think it's your lack of ability that's keeping you away. You're so busted. Nevertheless, if you'd like for me to help you catch up with any subject, not just math, I will do I. I'd hate to see such a bright mind put to waste because he didn't feel like going to class. It's kind of pathetic, really" she answered. Yes, she'd seen the way he looked at her. He was interested, if only slightly. She'd use that to her advantage. Maybe she could convince him to actually come to class. |
