The Art of being a slacker.

I hate doing anything.
I am probably the laziest person you will ever meet.
I almost failed math in 8th grade because I was too lazy to do the homework.
ALMOST failed both maths this past year. It's safe to say that I don't like math so I don't often strive to get the work done which results in bad things happening to me.
Do you ever hate something or slightly dislike something to a point where you just don't do it?
I often do this for school and stuff like that. I also do it for cleaning my room and projects outside of school.
The only time I ever got a good grade in a class is when I like the class because I actually care enough to do the work. Science, Art, and Newspaper were the only classes this past year that I actually got A's in. Thats really sad because it resulted in me only having a 3.0 as a freshman...I don't think thats very good :(

Do you do this?

I do...obviously.

I didn't know if I was going to graduate until two weeks before I did. Yes, I am a slacker.

I do excellent on tests - straight A's ALWAYS (except in math) without studying for even a minute. But I don't do homework. I try, I just can't stomach it really. What's the point in doing all this extra work if I don't NEED it?

That's why I love college so much - most of my professors assign homework "if you need it". If you don't feel the need, you don't have to do it.

Uh I got my first B in a science class Anatomy and Physiology b/c I kept pushing the hw out of my mind...it was an 89 and it kinda made me mad. Eh oh well I still have a 4.11 something

ChiNoMizuumi 07-03-2011 12:13 AM

Lawl XD.
I do the same thing with my Spanish and Lab Skills homework all the time.... >w<
... although in Spanish, I pretty much used the same exact homework over and over again (since the teacher was too oblivious to know otherwise ^^")
...As for Lab Skills... haha... ha... yeah, not so great. I didn't know if I'd get credits for that class until the last month of school, and I was like "OwO YAY I DIDN'T FAIL! ... Okie, I almost failed, but I didn't fail!!" :squee:
I was happeh though... still have a 3.5 - ish gpa for sophomore year because of the other classes (which were uber interesting ^w^")

Wheeeeeeee~ PROCRASTINATION. :headdesk:

I'm actually the same with the tests. I just remember anything but math automatically. Its nice.
I wish I had a teacher that gave us homework "If we need it"
Lets just say that I would NEVER need homework. EVER.

Yea, if I do not want to do something it's really hard to get myself to do it. I have ADD on top of that so that doesn't help when I get started on something then...OH LOOK A SHINY! At that point, it's even harder for me to get it done.

Cat Eye 07-03-2011 09:36 PM

I procrastinate everything, but...usually.....in the end I do it.

Including that stupid executive report that my professor almost gave my an anuerysm over. I'm glad that class is long gone now.

I haven't made below a C in college so far....so I'm doing about the same as high school since a college C=a high school D.

@Anaxilea

My university doesn't do that D: I wish it did........except in Math.

Ottersaurus 07-03-2011 09:45 PM

I guess I'm kind of like that.

More so though, my mind subconsciously calculates out how much time I actually have to get something done. So even if I consciously think "God I need to get this stuff done!" my brain knows I don't at that moment so I end up "slacking".

It's kind of confusing to pretty much everyone but me. I still get stuff done though, so it's not that bad I guess.

Sadistix_Love 07-03-2011 09:51 PM

I'm not a slacker. Px But I don't put my 100% unless I love what I'm doing. I always do well enough to get the grade, nothing more. Have to change that around this year. :/

Draciolus 07-03-2011 10:00 PM

I procrastinate procastination. I never really pay much attention to due dates, and having never failed a class in high school, its a good thing I do awsome on tests. xD

Seradinea 07-03-2011 11:51 PM

I wish i could get more sleep i work too much it really sucks I wish I did not have too work.

Sho-Shonojo 07-04-2011 12:18 AM

Well, I guess I'm not really a slacker. Or at least I wasn't while I was in school. While I did tend to procrastinate on projects and what not, I always made sure to get my work done because I knew that my education was important. I just graduated college with a GPA of 3.92.

With summer here I have been slacking on getting together my portfolio and looking for a job. But that's because that would require my moving out of state, and I'm just not ready for that yet.

666DjFromTheDeath666 07-06-2011 05:14 AM

Well i don't have a homework problem cuz i NEVER have homework xD my grades or not bad ... and trust me i'm a slacker :XD For me it's more at home .. like when i want to go out my mom ALWAYS have's to tell me do your room pass the vacuum or clean the basement ... even if i did not do the mess !! So what i do is i put my earphone's on and i just leave :XD But then my mom yells at me cuz i did not do the job that i was supose to do :XD but then i just tell her that i had my earphone's and she goes (ALL THE TIME) oh okay .. :feesh: Lol what a fail ! :XD

Codette 07-07-2011 12:40 AM

666DjFromTheDeath666:
thats so mean. Why would you do that to your mom?

I'm a slacker depending if I want to do it or not. Example: back in high school I had issues doing math homework. I hated math, and it was a total chore for anyone to make me do my math homework. I actually failed gr. 11 math and had to retake it senior year.

Now if its something like helping my mom or something I don't mind, I'm pretty good at getting it done. Maybe I'll get it done on my own time, but it'll be done before someone has to ask me twice.

StormSwift 07-07-2011 12:57 AM

I never really put out a full effort when it came to school....I'd do the homework EVENTUALLY, but usually not the day it was assigned unless it was really, REALLY easy. Even now, in college, I don't hurry when it comes to getting homework done. If I don't have to do it, I don't. If I have a lot of time to do it, I put it off till the last possible day or week or whatever. I'm a fairly lazy person...I hate cleaning my room, too. Currently it's a total pigsty. And I have no intentions of cleaning it any day soon. Hahaha. :D

666DjFromTheDeath666 07-07-2011 01:10 AM

Look Codette Let me do what I want to do ok .. ! now you have a problem ???

Codette 07-07-2011 01:19 AM

I didn't mean to be insulting, but shouldn't you be a little more helpful to your mom? Instead of fooling her by saying you where wearing your headphones and then insulting her with a 'fail' comment on the internet?

vickers 07-07-2011 10:15 PM

I feel like I'm the poster child for school slackers.
I've always flunked at least two classes during school years because I never felt like doing the work. It's not something I'm proud of, but I'm kind of amused by the fact that I somehow made it into my Junior year of high school before dropping out.
When it comes to housework though, I actually try to be helpful. It just seems like it would be rude NOT to help around the house.

Shotacon 07-07-2011 10:21 PM

My art of being a slacker consists of me doing a thousand things at once(Around 5 actually) but none of them for the betterment of anything save for my amusement. 2 V-games, 1 book, Food, and Writing my book....that's on a slow day. None of them beneft societs (Cept the book) but all of them amuse me. It's so fun....
