Jack tilted his head a bit when Jun had finally fallen asleep. He kept his arms around her and only moved them once or twice to gently stroke Jun's hair under a personal excuse that there was a strand astray. He looked across the room and sat in thought for a good time, letting his mind wander and sort through the most recent events of that day. He thought about Jun's dream, too. 'What could have caused THAT?' he wondered. Being a scientist-type nerd usually lead Jack to want to think things logically, but for some reason Jun's aura radiated with something that bent the standard rules and threatened to break through science itself. Jack let out a small sigh and shifted so he was also lying down, cautious to not wake Jun. Then, at last, he drifted into sleep as well.

Jun only shifted slightly when Jack did, but showed so signs of awaking from her sleep. Instead of dreaming that horrible, horrible, nightmare she dreamed about her brother and Jack. Which confused her but made since because Jack did remind her a lot of her brother but they were two different people who meant two different things to Jun. Jun loved her brother and sometimes still grieved over him but Jack- she was in love with. Her brother's death nearly killed her, since she was trying to commit suicide nearly everyday of her life as the aftermath. Jack saved her from that. It was a fairly peaceful dream that Jun was glad to be having.

Jack slept so lightly through the night that he almost realized when he was asleep or barely awake. If the wind shifted a little, he had faint memories of hearing it. Once or twice, he wondered if he was sleeping lightly as to make sure nothing was after Jun. Regardless of the reason, Jack somehow got the feeling like he already knew that he was still going to get rested even if he was fully awake. So, he simply let himself stay in the state he was in, occasionally sleeping and other times thinking about Jun.

Jun slept through the night, somewhat peacefully.

Sometime a few hours later, Jack woke up for good. He couldn't figure out why, so he just blamed it on the fact that his nerves were shot down enough to disable his ability to complete normal human tasks. 'I'm not tired, though--' At that moment, Jack realized that he wasn't in his own house. A jolt of energy surged through him and caused a sick feeling to flutter behind the impact- a feeling also known as fear. Several seconds later, Jack realized that he had spent the night with Jun, so he sighed internally. It was sort of a sigh in relief that he wasn't someplace foreign as well as a thankful sigh that nothing had gone haywire with his love interest yet.

Jun a woke with a startle a few hours before dawn and tried her best not to hit Jack, but kind of failed and immediately made sure he was okay. "I am so sorry Jack, are you okay? Are you bleeding? Do you need an ice-pack?" She asked in a really concerned voice considering the fact she accidentally hit him pretty hard.

Jack realized that Jun woke up startled just in time to react and close his eyes before she thrashed a little, so he smiled and laughed. He then hugged her close and kissed her on the cheek to show that he was fine. "You're cute," he said. "Did you sleep well?"

Jun sighed out of relief and nuzzled him after getting hugged and kissed on the cheek. She blushed a faint rose color and giggled softly before smiling and nodding lightly. "I slept okay." Jun replied. "How about you?" She asked quietly with a soft expression.

Jack nodded lightly and watched Jun. He pressed his eyebrows together in concentration and weighed out his scenario. There were so many questions unanswered, yet so many occurrences where Jack considered himself lucky to be alive. 'I guess I shouldn't question that one..' "I slept great," he concluded. "It'd take a lot to feel any better than this."

She caught the look in his eyes that said something was on his mind but she didn't question him, yet. Jun smiled and nodded to his question. "That's good." she slowly got out of bed and stretched.

Jack watched Jun for a moment when she stretched- for that brief second he was captivated. "Yeah," he said afterwards. Then, he sat straight up and ran a hand through his silky yet somewhat messy hair. No doubt, he was still half asleep. Jack pulled out his phone and aimlessly turned it on before returning it to his pocket. He was nervous for whatever text spam he might have gotten.

Jun flickered her eyes to the door when she heard a noise that wasn't her aunt. Almost her entire being was telling her to stay in that room with Jack. She didn't know why but she wanted to make sure her aunt was okay. Jun could hear stuff starting to break and she slowly opened her door just a crack. It was her mother, looking for something her aunt had hidden a long time ago. Her mother stopped and tuned in the direction she heard a door open but by that time Jun was away from the door and near Jack. "Ironic..." She whispered under her breath. "Jun...?" The all-too sweet voice called as the mother got closer to the door. JUn hid behind Jack like a scared kitten. "Get out of my house before I call the cops." Sabrina spoke up, which relived Jun, a little bit. As one could probably guess, this did not end well. The cops showed up and hauled Sabrina's sister off to jail for breaking and entering and also going against a court order which said that Jun's mother couldn't be anywhere near Jun or her brother. She swore on her life she'd be back and when she came back, Jun would be hers.

Jack's attention turned towards the hallway about the same time that Jun's did. He vaguely recognized the voice, however he couldn't put a name to it until he heard Jun's name. Jack held Jun close when she hid behind him. Though he thought it was cute how she acted, there was also a degree of seriousness that he too carried. Jack listened quietly the entire time. Even after the police had already taken the mysterious woman away, he held onto Jun just in case the coast wasn't clear.

Sabrina went to check on Jun to make sure she was alright, the sight of Jack made her smile ever so softly. "Are you kids alright?" Jun poked her head out from behind Jack and nodded lightly. "I'm alright." She smiled a little too innocently. Her aunt failed to see beyond the mask, or so it seemed, she opened the door fully. "I'll make breakfast since everyone's up and awake." She said then went into the kitchen and did just that. Jun sighed softly and moved her blue-grey eyes to the floor.

Jack nodded when Sabrina finished. "Alright," Jack replied. He then turned his attention over to Jun who was still looking a little gloomy. He leaned in and kissed her on the cheek softly. "Jun," Even though he knew she had already answered, Jack couldn't help but to re-ask the question. "Are you okay?"

Jun looked at Jack for what felt the longest time before opening her mouth. "My mom just got taken to jail, even if she never wanted anything to do with me... She was my mother..." She said quietly, tears threatened to surface but she pushed them back.

Jack kept his gaze on Jun. He wasn't exactly sure what to say at first, since he was usually the one to get caught doing stupid things like daring to bring up things that were slightly unhelpful to the situation. "It'll be okay," he said at last. Even if it wasn't fine and dandy right at that moment, Jack swore he'd do everything he could to turn it around. The painful look on Jun's face was something Jack wanted to avoid because he appreciated Jun's smile. So, he smiled a second later with that resolve.

Jun didn't know what scared her more, watching the mother who never showed any love towards her nor her brother getting hauled off to jail, or the look she was given as her mother was getting into the cop car. Hearing Jack's words made her smile and she nodded. Jun kissed his cheek. "I believe you... Kisa." She whispered 'kisa' into his ear with a sweet smile before pulled away and slipped out of the bed to join her aunt in the dinning room for when breakfast was ready.

Jack listened to Jun. At first, he had no clue what she had called him, so he almost took her words like a challenge, but a slight intuition prevailed over his logic when he watched her begin to move away. Jack repeated her steps and soon afterwards was following her out into the dining room. "Are you doing anything special today?" he asked out of seemingly nowhere.

Jun paused a moment and turned to look at Jack. "Is there anything you had in mind?" She asked curiously.

[[ It isn't late, no worries~ c: Even if it were late I wouldn't mind. ]]

Jack smiled and looked downwards for a moment. "It's nothing much," he said before lifting his gaze. "But we could go downtown if you're not busy." Jack figured that, if anything at all, getting fresh air would be a mild distraction from some of the chaos in both Jun's life as well as his own. It topped off the fact that Jack was usually out of the house anyway.

Jun smiled and nodded, then blinked and looked at her aunt for an approval. Sabrina nodded lightly to Jun's request as she set the table. "I don't anything planned for you dear." Jun smiled brightly before going and sitting at the table. "It's settled then." She giggled happily.

Jack nodded with a smile that tugged at one side of his mouth. It was one of his satisfied smiles that expressed a sort of "win" on his part. "Ah-" Jack was suddenly struck by the time. He glanced around for a clock before looking 180-degrees either way. Time didn't exactly matter since he'd left a note on his bed, but he had to take care of a few morning chores as well as get changed before a certain hour. That hour was denoted as when his mom threw a fit over his inability to be a competent young man. "Jun, I've got to check back at home," he said. "It's nothing big, so I'll be right back- should I meet you here? Or.."

Jun nodded. "Just meet me back here when you're finished." She said with a sweet smile.

With a bright grin and a quick wave, Jack threw his shoes on and dashed out of Jun's house. He didn't take it full-speed to get back to his own home, but Jack was definitely running. After a short while, he found that he was back inside his own quiet house. Momentarily he cursed himself for letting things get into such a quiet habit. Sure, Jack's parents were around and not at the same time- preoccupied with everything else in life- but the eerie silence was practically the same as having no medium to project sound through! 'I swear, the only noise is my shoes..' He thought sarcastically.

A few minutes later, Jack was changed and checking his text messages when he picked up a bit more on the drug-use/abuse his friends stumbled upon the night before. Irritated, Jack turned text alerts off from those people. 'What have I been doing with my life?' he wondered as he took off to care for other parts of the house; dish-washing, early-morning laundry- the usual necessities.
