Well...I must admit...she's either looking for attention and thus faking her videos, or she...likes embarrassing herself. Don't get angry at me for saying that, it's true.
I mean, come on. Why is she posting these videos? She has to realize that they're going to get trolled. |
i know she should post them and she cant sing and i think its cool that she ignores the comments by all those jerks. i wouldnt be able to handle it.

I was in a video that got trolled once. I hadn't even known it was online; someone from the Found Footage Film Festival had found a videotape of it somewhere and they played it at one of their shows, and someone else put it online.
I'm in it for all of two seconds, but a lot of these trolls would dis me on my looks and what I said, etc. I wasn't -too- upset tho, because for as many as mocked me there were also a few who said they'd 'do' me if they had a chance. But it really messed with my friend, whose TV program the clip had come from. No one had anything nice to say about him, and again he'd had no idea his show had gotten so far out there in the world. But that's the problem with any public broadcast; once you put it out there it's everyone's to do with as they will. If they hate it, and there are a lot of shallow people, I've noted, who'll hate on anyone or anything without finding out anything about the things they so snaply judge, then they do, and that's that. Maybe this girl was hoping people would find her video entertaining? Clearly they did, but some folk are mean, so how they enjoy is to hate upon. My take is that most of them don't have the cojones to do anything publicly either way, since they hide behind the internet to mock others. The girl who put her vids out is braver and therefore cooler than her trolls, IMHO. |
ikr thats what i was saying. she is brave to do that. i wish i was that brave. but i am self conscious and i would delete my videos after the first person said something bad.

That was the prob with my friend's show. He knew it would go out all over our neighborhood; if you're on public access you kind of expect that. But he had no power over others replicating it, so it got huge youtube notice due to trolls putting it up specifically to laugh at. |
i think most of those people are jerks. they have no talents so they laugh at other people.
|
Pretty much. But the world is full of them, and if you're a sensitive sort their trolling can hurt.
They're no different than the kind of idiots who laugh at people on the streets. In some ways they are even more craven because at least you can see and maybe even walk up to and tell off or punch out someone who is mocking you in real life. As we all know, there's no way to win an internet argument. She ought to disable comments, or at least screen them or make them friends only. Again, it doesn't stop someone from replicating her video and putting up a copy specifically for people to laugh at, but so long as we live in a world where people enjoy mocking others this kind of thing will always happen. I kinda blame shows like Tosh.0 and Web Soup for the 'let's snag ppl's for-their-friends' videos and make them public and laugh at people' mentality being so the thing. On the other hand tho I've seen some stuff on thise shows I genuinely enjoyed and wouldn't have stumbled across on the web myself if they weren't being shown on TV. |
i know right. but i think she just ignores them. she should screen comments though. you are right.
