A Walk on the Wild Side (nova/gypsy)
 

The takes place in Hollywood, CA at exactly midnight on the night of a Blood Moon. Coco was heading home on her motorcycle with a small bag slung over her shoulder. Her hair was tied up behind her head with a clip. She was wearing a tank top and tattered blue jeans. As she drove like a NASCAR racer down the street her pastel lavender eyes glanced up at the the red moon and growled, her sandy colored ears falling flat and she sped up.

Rusty sat at home and waited for his twin. He stared out of the window and at the clear yet starless sky. 'She's late...' He thought, his ears and tail lowered out of worry.

The moon looked awfully pretty tonight to Liam who was walking around in his cat-form, keeping watch in case someone came and saw his brother hot-wiring a midnight blue Porsche. He saw someone turn fast around the corner on a motorcycle and he was going to warn his brother, Alex, but it was too late. Whoever it was was too close now.

Alex hit his head on the roof of the car at the sound of a nearing motorcycle and cursed under his breath. "Damnit, Liam! Why didn't you say something?!" He hissed, ducking down as far in the car as he could get. His hopes were that no one would notice what he was doing and just assume he was looking for something and cleaning out his car. Well, it would be his car as soon as it would run.

Collenne leaned into the turn a little too much and it slipped from her grip. She fell off and rolled before stopping, laying on her back. Coco didn't dare let go of the bag. The bike crashed into a nearby bush. Collenne flinched when she heard the bike crash and slowly sat up, her tail was twitching.

Alex stuck his head out of the Porsche and saw a girl lying on the ground after crashing a rather nice looking Ducati. He arched an eyebrow and shook his head, returning his attention to the wires in the car. She wasn't his problem and he wasn't going to make her his problem. Then he saw Liam change back into his human form and swish his tail over to the girl. He rolled his eyes and went to go check on the bike, just because. The bike was wrecked.

Liam twitched his ears as he knelt next to the girl who'd crashed. "Are you okay?" He asked, trying to determine if she had any major injuries. He looked to Alex who shook his head. "You need a ride somewhere? We can take you. Your bike is totaled." He said in a rather girl-like sounding jumble.

Coco glanced at the silver haired boy with a black streak in his bangs and nodded. "I'm fine thanks." From all the times she'd crashed she never got a scrape or anything of the sort. She looked at the other boy and her ears twitched a little before looking back to the one knelt next to her. She put the bag in her lap and smiled a little. "My twin lives just down the street..." Collenne answered in a quiet voice. "Would it be a bother to drop me off there...?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.

Alex shot Liam a glare that he ignored. "It wouldn't be a bother at all." Liam answered in a very preppy tone. Alex rolled his eyes and went back to the Porsche to finish hot-wiring it. The engine revved up easily and Alex looked back at Liam expectantly. Liam smiled and held his hand out to the girl to help her stand. "We're over there. Alex can fix your bike and we can bring it to you tomorrow?" Liam offered without asking his twin.

Coco gently took his hand and shook her head. "My brother will fix it. He'll throw a fit if I allow someone else to repair my bike." "It's a little late but I'm Collenne, you can call me Coco though." She made sure her free hand on the bag in her lap.

"I'm Liam." Liam answered, leading her over to the car. "And Mister Grumpy Pants there is Alex." He added, holding the door open for her. Alex looked at her and nodded, but said nothing. He didn't even smile.

Coco smirked lightly to herself and slipped into the car, her tail had wrapped itself around her waist. She put on her seat belt and put the bag in her lap once again. "You're twins are you not...?" Collenne asked out curiosity since she had one as wel and the two looked a lot like.

"Unfortunately..." Alex muttered, rolling his eyes. Liam shook his head and smiled, sliding into the back seat. "Ignore him, but yes we are." He said in a rather cheery tone. Alex muttered incoherently under his breath and pulled away from the curb.

Collenne gave a small nod and got to thinking about how Rusty would probably either A: scold her for stealing again, B: be worried since she crashed, C: both A and B, or D: completely confused that she had gotten in the car when people she didn't know... She hoped for B since it was the only one that wouldn't come with a lot of questions.

Alex pulled up next to the curb and sighed. He looked at Collenne and sighed, "Kay. I don't know which one it is, but this is as far down the street as there is without going into a whole other street." Liam got out of the backseat because he'd be in the front as soon as Collenne got out.

Collenne glanced at Alex and smirked lightly. "Much thanks Alex." She opened the door and got out of the car, carefully slinging the bag of priceless stolen goods over her shoulder. At the first house her brother Rusty was sitting on the porch as if waiting. His ears twitched when he heard the car and glanced over, seeing his sister he quickly stood.

Coco gave a small wave of goodbye, giving her thanks a second time before going to join her brother who automatically glomped her. She kept her balance surprisingly enough and patted him on the head. He looked at her with big innocent/worried eyes. "Coco I was so worried~" Rusty complained. Collenne sighed over-dramitically and shook her head. "Yes, yes I'm sorry brother. I wrecked the bike again."

Alex grunted in response and watched her walk up to the first house where her brother, twin, immediately welcomed her. He shook his head and threw the car into drive again, barely waiting for Liam to get in the car. Liam smiled and waved after her. "Good-bye. Take care of yourself now, ya hear?" He called, sounding a little overly gay before he got in the car and straightened himself out. "What? Okay, don't you dare give me that look. You know you thought she was cute." Liam said, catching the glare that Alex was shooting him. Alex rolled his eyes and pulled away from the curb before speeding off. "Do you even realize how stupid that was? What if she had been a cop? And I did not think she was cute." He said the last part like a stubborn little kid.

Rusty stood straight again and put a hand on his hip. "That evens the total with about 20... Coco why not just get something else?" Collenne shook her head in protested. "For crying out loud Rusty! C'mon, let's go inside so i can show you what I got today." She grinned and headed inside. Rusty groaned and followed her.

Liam smirked and shook his head. "Yes you did." He said with a wide grin. Alex hissed at him and shot him a menacing glare. Then they were in their secret auto-shop, making the car untraceable. It was something they were experts at. They'd been doing it since they were twelve so it was something that came scarily natural. "Okay, we need to take this puppy out." Alex said, excitedly. They'd also made a few modifications to it.

Soon they were speeding down the road with no cops chasing them for a change. The engine made that roar that every car enthusiast wanted to hear, especially Liam and Alex. Alex grinned widely and then they were on their way to robbing a bank. Also something they were good at, but this took a little more care.

"Hey Coco, who were those boys?" Rusty asked his sister with a raised eyebrow. Coco shrugged. "Possibly fellow thieves." She grinned then found herself on the floor with her brother pinning her. "Didn't I tell you to stop stealing?" His tone was more harsh than what she was used to. "I only do it so we won't up on the street again..." She said in a small voice of a scared child.

He brother didn't off of her until he saw her tears. Rusty sighed and fell back on his bum, pulling Coco into him and held her close. "I'm sorry." He said. She went cat form and jumped into her brother shoulders, nuzzling him gently. He stroked her fur lightly.

Liam shifted into his cat-form since he was smaller and crawled in through the air vents to go into the security room where he chewed on some wires and disabled all security systems, including the vault. Then he went to the back door and let in Alex, who was holding a large duffel bag. The twins made their way into the vault and began stuffing the money into the bag. They took as much as they could get, even putting some in their pockets and then they left. Then they discovered their car wouldn't start. Alex sighed and started walking. Untrained eyes wouldn't notice anything suspicious so he wasn't worried as they walked down the street, passing the house the girl lived in with her brother. They only lived a few blocks away from them.

Collene glanced out of the window and jumped from her brothers shoulder before going to the window and jumping up onto the ceil. Her ears twitched and rose an eyebrow when she saw the two twins pass by. 'Car trouble much?' She asked herself, shaking her head and jumping down before forming back into her neko form.

Rusty carefully pulled the bag to himself before opening it and closed it just as quickly. "Coco! You know how lucky you are that you weren't caught?" She glanced over. "What are you freaking out about?" Coco peeked into the bag and emptied it. Something she wasn't expecting fell out along with the small things she went after. A solid gold princess crown with tiny sapphires along the sides along with a fat diamond smack dab in the middle.

Coco carefully picked up and stared with awe. "Whoa... I-I didn't put that in there... I swear! I don't steal things of the royals." Collenne said with pure honestly as she looked to her brother.

Alex snickered and shook his head. This was just too easy. Liam looked at his brother and was tempted to trip him and he would have except for the fact that Alex had most of the money. "Soooo... are you gonna talk to her?" He asked, grinning from ear to ear at his brother. Alex arched an eyebrow and looked at his brother. "No, why would I?" He said, looking back in front of him. Liam laughed and said, "Because I put something in her bag when she wasn't looking that you might want." Alex's eyes widened and he glared at his brother. "You little shit!" He yelled at him out of annoyance. He thrusted the bag into Liam's arms and turned, going back to the girl's house.

The twins carefully walked up on the porch. Alex didn't waste time knocking on the door. Liam had a rather satisfied look on his face as he looked around, curiously.

Her ears twitched a little and she stood, ears back out of habit. The crown was on her head. Seeing the door open Rusty also stood and pulled his little sister behind himself. Collenne peeked her head out from behind her brother and blinked a few times. "What the heck are you two doing here...?" She asked, removing the crown from her head and putting it with the hidden pile before anyone could tell.

Alex had a mischievous grin on his face when he saw the crown on her head. Liam smiled and happily said, "Hi, Coco!" Then shut up when Alex elbowed him in the stomach. "You, my dear, have something hat belongs to me." Alex said in a matter-of-fact voice.

Coco smirked and bent to pick up the crown. She handed it to him. "I figured as much, you two are thieves as well." Coco said since the door was closed.

"Well, actually, we're more than thieves! We specialize in- OW! What was that for!?" Liam said when Alex smacked him upside the head with the hand that wasn't holding the crown. Alex smirked and shook his head. "He wasn't going to say anything and we weren't here. If I find out you talked, either one of you, I'll be back and that's not a good thing." Alex said, then stalked off. Liam looked at his brother then back at Coco. "Sorry, he's ill-mannered... and angry... so angry. But he means it. So... bye!" He said with a very preppy wave before running after his brother, having to pull his pants up because they were so loaded down with money.

Coco rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I'm not stupid!" She hissed at Alex. Her tail was twitching, matching how pissed she was. Rusty held his sister back and closed the door again. "I hate boys... I hate boys... I hate boys... I hate boys... I'll be in my room if you need you need me..." She muttered before getting free of her brother and ran to her room, slamming her door.

Rusty sighed and shook his head, making a spot on the couch for himself.
