Porphyro shouted something unkind as he toppled over from the force of her impact, landing in a puddle of cold water that came up to his middle. He gave Deo a look of absolute hatred, wishing he'd known how much of a pain she would be before he'd decided to kidnap her.
"I walked right into a cursed cave and now I'm stuck with an annoying brat," he said acidly. "Not only that, I'm wet." He said the word with loathing. "Are you happy now? I can't even leave you with a clear conscience, because I know you're too soft to survive a day in the caves." He scowled. |
Somehow, as Deo and Porphyro fell, she ended up falling on top of him, just about straddling him in the process. Water splashed up around them and she could feel it seeping into her boots and even up to her expensive socks. She didn't understand how the ocean water could be so warm, and the cave water so cold when they were right next to each other. It wasn't fair at all, but she did know a thing or two about unfairness. Just thinking about it had a bit of her hair taking on the look of a vine, tiny leaves sprouting along it.
Deo jumped back from the strange man, shaking water off her hands as she did so. "I'm annoying?! What do expect when I've been kidnapped by a creep! Only a creep kidnaps girls!" she yelped, eyes squeezed shut with the force of her words and her hands fisted. She gave him a kick for good measure then flipped her hair over her shoulder, hands on hips, haughty. "Who's soft, mr. 'fraid of water?" she asked with scorn. |
