Anyone interested in a ranch RP?
 

Hey, I wanted to see how many people would be interested in a roleplay that took place on a ranch. Each character would have a horse of their own or a borrowed one that they have until a new horse is born and they can train for themselves. On this ranch, they breed show horses, both English and Western, but they'd be raised the same way and they are trained with the same resources. This'll let all of you choose which discipline you want to focus on instead of sticking to either English or Western and not venturing into the other.

Well, it's certainly an interesting idea, I've never RPed on a ranch before! sounds fun!

perhaps, there's a mystery at the ranch...wild horse prints appearing near areas that have been destroyed...rumors of seeing a black horse with red eyes streaking through town, laying waste to all in it's path.

While there haven't been any injuries yet, the damage has been angering the residents of the nearby town, and the lay blame to the ranch, despite having no evidence.

...just an idea though

I like it! How about this? A wild herd is spotted and after people try to catch them for the first time, things starts to go wrong in town and reports of a black horse with red eyes start up. Then as more and more people get deeper into the secrets, the damage the 'horse' causes gets worse and worse

I have an idea for a character already! ^.^

ooh! ooh! and there needs to be a peaceful Native American tribe, that gets along with the ranch, and has been living at least peacefully with the town, but since people start getting paranoid, they lay the blame on the tribe, and when ranch tries to defend them, they get blamed too!

Yeah and the tribe helps with the ranch from time to time which will integrate them into the story and not just characters that are rarely seen, but the number of these characters has to be small in comparison to the others considering that they are a tribe.

A little country girl, dirty blond hair braided in two pig tails and an oversized hat. Pretty average country girl, who helps out her brothers on the farm and adores horses.
Nothing too fancy ^.^

I'd make a girl with short light brown hair and green eyes that wears a light western-style hat. She rides a borrowed horse named Crackerjack who is a dark bay gelding with a fiery attitude. She has her own horse, but the foal is only a yearling that she is training. The foal is a black filly who loves company, but has somewhat of a short attention span.
The girl is better with English disciplines, but can train Western to an extent. She's good with handling most types of horses which was why she was given Crackerjack a few years back

And if we could have second characthers, I'd also make a boy handyman, who mostly delivers milk and eggs and various oddities around town. He also hears a lot of gossip in this buisness

Oh I like it! I'd limit the charries to 2 though. It gets a bit confusing if there's more than that haha.
And if people want to go and catch a wild horse, they can only do so once a week and it's rare to succeed which is realistic.
